March 24th,2013 / 4 nights Bahamas

Hello all,
We are traveling on this sailing and would love to do the FE. This will be Disney cruise #9 for us! Traveling with DH, DS (age 2), DS (age 7), DS (age 15) + my DS's friend (age 15). My teenager is actually very excited since he is able to bring a friend. We are sailing on the Fantasy in December and will be doing the FE for the first time. Looking forward to meeting everyone! If anyone is able to get a cabana, we are very interested in sharing one. We have one booked for our December sailing, but they sold out within minutes at the 120 mark, for those who were in concierge or who had been on 10+ sailings.

:welcome: Wow - cruise #9 - that is so awesome! I have added you to the FE list. If you let me know your names and favorite characters and cabin number, I will add them to the list. The link for the FE list is: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2957814 - you can subscribe to it as well if you haven't already. Happy planning!

So excited...Just booked my "port adventures"! Holy cow...those cabanas went FAST. Tried to book cabana 5 since we enjoyed that one last time, but it was sold out when I went to confirm it. I quickly grabbed #7 then, and by the time I confirmed that one, ALL the family beach cabanas were gone. 2 adult-only cabanas were available. I also booked the Atlantis water park day. Last time we did the Blue Lagoon dolphin swim and really enjoyed that. I figure this excursion will be equally fun!

Good luck to everyone else hoping to get their favorite activites booked. :)

Yay!! Just four months from today, and we will all be on board waiting to sail! :thumbsup2 So excited!!

For those of you who were already able to check in, quick question:

We can do check-in on 12/24. I am not looking for any port adventures, etc, but I am going to go ahead and do check-in to get our port arrival time. Do I do that at midnight EST or at 3 am EST? Also, what info do I need with me right then to do it? I didn't know if it was like online resort check-in where not much is needed, or if it would be full-out paperwork just to get a port arrival time. I didn't know if I would need everyone's Social Security number or something right in front of me (I will be too sleepy at 12 am or 3 am to go find it!)

Thanks for all of the info! ScrapbookJulie--congrats on the cabana!! Looking forward to seeing all of you in March! :thumbsup2

The online check in time is 3am. Port adventures, dining, etc. are at midnight. You need quite a bit of info before you get your arrival time. You need all your flight info (coming and going) as well as your passport info. Those are the main things I can think of that would need to be looked up. The personal info/passport section was already filled out for me (I guess from my prior cruise? Or probably my travel agent?) My emergency contact info was already in there, too. That would have had to have been from my prior cruise.

Thanks for adding us and organizing!

Ok, we're still up in the air about going on this cruise or not. Maybe you all can talk us into it. We're booked for this one and the 3-night after for a back-to-back. These would be our 7th and 8th cruises on DCL, but our first time on the Dream (which is why we booked in the first place - we much prefer longer cruises).

We are DW (3princessMommy) and me (bigAWL) and 3 DDs ages 11, 9 and 6 at the time of cruising. I've scanned through the pages of this thread, and I think I've seen a few other girls around the same ages. That's a big plus if anyone is interested in letting their kids "meet" ours via e-mail before the cruise.

Is anyone else doing back-to-back with this cruise?

We need to decide in the next week or so, so we can pay-in-full and still make the Gold reservation date.

Aaron, If you message me, I'd be happy to exchange email addresses for our 11yo DDs. Does your DD plan to go to the tween club or stay in the Lab with her sisters?

Julie

Thanks for that. I will do that soon.

She's never been in the tween club, so I'm sure she'd be a bit nervous about it. She starts out pretty timid and thinks she has a hard time making friends. But I also know she'd love the chance to get away from her sisters.

Since my DD is an only child, she's always on the lookout for a new friend to hang out with! She'll probably be pretty timid as well about the tween club since she'll just have turned 11 the week before we cruise. I'm sure she'd love to "chat" with someone else before we sail. :)

Anyone with daughters in the 5-10 year old range who would like to e-mail with another girl before the cruise? Our DDs (almost 6 and 9) would love to "meet" them and make a friend before cruising.

Hi All! I didn't get online here until I knew for sure we were going. But we are now Paid in Full! And have our airline tickets in hand. We are all set!!!!:cheer2:

So I am the other half to BigAWL. And as he said, we have three daughters (11,9, & 6). Our nanny, Filda, will also be coming on this cruise with us. She is from Uganda and has been with us for four years (we were stationed there for two). She has heard us talk about our cruises for years, but has never been able to go. This time, she's coming with us! I hope she'll be able to relax and enjoy some downtime too.

We'd really like to join the FE list, so put us down! We are in 7040 & 7042.

We look forward to meeting everyone and getting to you know online before the cruise! If anyone will be at WDW before the cruise and would like to get together, we'll be there for four days at BCV.

Joann

Finally paid in full...now waiting to do online check in on 12/24. Anyone who has completed the online check in already know what the earliest current time left is for PAT? I know that 11 am is the earliest, I just did not know if it is still available.

I already signed up for 11am, so I'm not sure I can tell if that is still available. But it appears that all other times are still open.

Hi all! Just did our online check-in, etc. We were able to get the 11:00 am PAT (still bummed that we can't do check-in at airport!), booked 10:00 am Palo brunch and got a slot for parasailing for DH and DS. No family cabanas available, however there was one on Serenty Bay if anyone is interested! So excited! Getting closer every day. Now that things are settling down after our WDW trip and Christmas is almost done, I can concentrate on the cruise! Merry Christmas everyone!

Online checkin done at midnight last night! Got the PAT we wanted! Just think. . .3 months from today, we'll be on our cruise!

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!!

Merry Christmas, everyone! This will be our first Disney cruise! So excited!! It will be just me and my two kids. DS is 9 and DD is 5. DH will be holding down the fort in Chicago as he is not the Disney fan I am. Looking forward to connecting with other adults for me to hang with and other kiddos for my kiddos to hang with. Please PM me if you're interested in exchanging emails for our kids. We would also love to be added to the FE list!

Hello everyone,

Glad to see more people signing up bit by bit. Been very busy with work lately. We are headed out for our July trip to Disneyland on July 5th. I am sure it will be a mad house with the new Cars Land.

As part of our cruise we will be going to Disneyworld prior to the cruise for sure. I was thinking of doing one of the following.

MAGIC KINGDOM WISHES CRUISE (PREMIUM)
25' Tracker Pontoon

Price: $346.13, tax included for up to 10 guests. Price includes pontoon boat, driver, water, soda, bagged snacks and and audio feed of the fireworks music -Guests may order Private Dining to be delivered to the cruise. The sound from the fireworks show is provided on the boat

Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage
(formerly the Magical Fireworks Voyage)

This event begins with cookies, snacks and beverages before you "set sail" on your magical voyage where you'll have prime viewing of the Magic Kingdom's "Wishes" and "Electrical Water Pageant." Before you board, none other than Captain Hook and his hapless first-mate Mr. Smee arrive for some mayhem and photos. Your host for the night is "Patch," a pirate of dubious distinction. As you sail along the Seven Seas Lagoon, Patch will have you singing along and challenge you to some Disney Trivia.

Your "ship will set anchor" at the perfect spot overlooking the Magic Kingdom to view "Wishes". From there you return to the pier while Patch regales you with the story of Peter Pan. When you arrive, you'll see that none other than Peter himself is there to greet you.

Price: $57.50 (ages 10 and up) $33.01 (ages 3 - 9)
Reservations: Can be made up to 180 days in advance. Requirements: Credit card charged when making the reservation. 48-hour cancellation policy Meeting location: Noted on the event board in Disney's Contemporary Resort

If anyone will be at the resort and interested in joining in just let me know. Also does anyone know if a Cabana can be shared between different family's. Its just my wife and my 2 yr old son. Seems like alot of room just for the three of us.

Is anyone still planning to do this? If so, what night? Group meet????

Excited reading through everyone's posts! Trying to build my post count so I can respond to PMs. Can't wait to meet everyone!!! :thumbsup2

Hi everybody! My family will be on this criuse too. I am so exited I found this thread. It will be our first time on DCL tbougb we have done other lines before. It will be me, DH, and DD13 (almost 14). .

Newbie question--thinking ahead to 1/8/13 when i can register for things--we need to renew DS's passport. I assume this will mean that I won't be able to do check-in until his new one arrives, but will this also screw me up for registering for port adventures on 1/8?
