I searched and posted in another thread but hoping to get a fast answer! Tonight while packing DD5 tried on her Cinderella dress and cried because it was so small- she clearly has had a growth spurt. So- I'll end up buying her something in the park since I won't have time before we leave to get another. Just wondering if the dress prices are the same as they are in the mall stores? I'm expecting to pay something between $50-60. If needed I'll have to make time to run to the mall *again*. On a side note, I find it very appropriate that I left my debit card at the Disney Store earlier!

I found they were a little more. In the mall, they were $45 and at the parks they run around $65.

They do run more than in the stores - I paid $65 for Ariel's dress in Sept (only bought there because DD really wanted it and its not carried in the store)

Nooooooo......

Wishful thinking! :)

I know when we were at BBB last year I want to say they were $85.... i might be off by a couple of dollars, but DEFINITELY not Disney Store prices.

The quality is better and there are MANY more details to the ones you will find at BBB and in the parks....

If you can afford the bit extra, they are TOTALLY worth the extra money!
:)

Hope this helps!

Edit....from the PP, it may be $65....for some reason I remember $85....but we did the package so I'm not 100% certain....

I'm pretty sure they're $65 and not $85 but they are SO much nicer than the disney store ones. If its going to be a one time wear, the cheaper disney store dresses are great. If your dd is going to be using it for dress up at home I'd get the park dress as it will likely last a lot longer.

Thanks for the responses! This will likely be the highlight of the stay for her, so I think I'll just let her pick a dress for the sake of $20 more, how much have we spent at this point already?! Our appt is on Thursday, but thinking we'll take a peek beforehand to get an idea of what I'll be spending and what's available. Now if we buy a dress that day it's just added to the price of our crown package I assume?
And PP- when you say Ariel's dress- do you mean the pink one she wears at dinner? If that's the case then case closed ! ;)

last time I priced dresses they were 65.00 and the deluxe ones were 85.00. yes they can add price of dress to pkg. but if you have a disney visa i believe you get a discount a world of disney store if you spend over 50.00.

It's her green one - the one you see her wear at CRT and akerhus (can't remember where in the movie)

It's a beautiful dress! We got it this week. I think it may be my favorite one DD(6) has had and we have had a bunch of them. It is $65...but be prepared to tack on another $30 because they have this beautiful little white capelet that we have never seen in the 4 previous years we have come to WDW in December and my DD went nuts over it. She has wanted a princess cape for years! I caved on that one really fast.

I thought I responded to this already- it never went through! At this rate I'm likely going to just let her pick a dress and buy one for the sake of another $20 beyond the mall store prices. She dresses up at home constantly so it will get lots of use? I mean- what's another $20 with what we've spent already? This is likely going to be the highlight of the trip for my super girlie girl- and it's just her so the splurge won't break us. :) Can't believe we leave tomorrow!

I just wanted to say you sound like an amazing mom! I know you and your family will have a magical trip! Enjoy!

I just wanted to warn you it will all add up. We took our only DD in September and she picked Tiana's dress, crown and wand, plus Cinderella's shoes. She got the make up, and 2 bottles of nail polish, and after wards the photo session. ALl for a grand total of $234! So be prepared to spend. The dress is very nice and good quality. She wore it all day in the park since her appt was at 8 am. Then when we came home she wore it to her school halloween party and trick or treating. Not one tear or mark on it. Shoes too!! I am saving it for when we see Disney On Ice so she can wear it htere too then it's a dress up dress. We truely got our money's worth from all of it. I recall seeing dresses in the stores down there and I thought they were $69. But for sure the dresses are nicer and different there than online. Have fun the BB was one of my favorite things we did at MK!!

So... We just went into castle couture and sure enough, she went immediately to Ariel's green dress! I figured get it now and then she can wear it to Akehurst (sp!) tomorrow. :)

How exciting! Have fun and I'm sure she'll be beautiful in it! Enjoy!! (post pics later after your vacation if you can) :thumbsup2

I'm having a similar problem with my DD 8. She needs a dress in a 10-12 and I can't find any in the stores or online! I don't want to pay $85 at BBB for a dress she will probably only wear once. All the dresses I find only go up to a 7-8!

The dress was $65 that we got- and a vast amount of sizes were available!

:scratchin was this in addition to a crown package? ( I think thats the big daddy package LOL) I'm taking DD's 10 and 3 in january. DD10 is only doing a small package but DD3 is set up for the big one...Just trying to decide how much to budget. I know we wont be getting shoes, shes got a pair of sequin Chuck Taylors that we'll be using ;)
