morning everyone

this is me... :hyper: to the 1000th power!

Just printed my boarding pass!

Have 2 1/2 hours of work left!

DBF just booked us in Austin for tonight at the Omni with a Priceline deal of $65! (We won't go into the fact that he just now decided we're going to Austin tonight - could be worse, right? He could've decided that later today like 4pm...)

I'm about to make our reservation for the shuttle from MCO to the Hilton (for anyone interested - each person, roundtrip is $34 - but you buy roundtrip in advance. If you buy one way tickets then it's $21 each way = $42 roundtrip per person)

Still need to pack, drop our Golden off at doggie daycare, eye appt for me, mani/pedi, DBF's mom's birthday dinner and um, get to Austin... I figure if we make good time we can be in Austin by 10pm... :faint: plenty of time before our 5am wake up call... ::yes::

yay for Disney tomorrow! :santa:

Is that from airport shuttles dot com? I'm still deciding that we may be better off just taking a taxi to Royal Paciic.

We leave today!!! And as an added bonus--I woke up this morning with no voice. So, yay...good times! At least I'll be in DTD tomorrow afternoon.

Hope you get your voice back! Are you feeling okay! Yay for Disney tomorrow!!!

Does anyone have the link to the Christmas Mousekeeping envelopes? Now that I'm looking for it, I can't find it.

Only TWO days until we arrive.

I just thought ..... I am so obsessed with everyone elses 'how many days ...' that I haven't even looked at mine.

I knew I went soon .... some time in the future ... probably next week.

I have 6 days

*screams*

Ok, this made me laugh. I just assumed that you were a ways off.

Is it "hair on fire" time now? *rotfl*

Don't have time to read thru right now, just checking in from Epcot!

Quick note for anyone planning in eating lunch at BOG: I did yesterday, and the food was fantastic, but be warned they close off the line around 2:30-2:45 to enter. It took about 20 minutes after getting in line to even order, then eating time, and they need you out to set up for dinner. So don't wait too long to get in line for it!

Awesome! Thanks!

Just read a post on wdwmagic about FLE opening and it looks like the enchanted forest won't be open on my MK day (12/5). Grrr. Hoping its open the night before so we can at least ride the Little Mermaid. Oh well I still get to have breakfast in the castle that morning and we'll hit any MK things we missed the night before and head to HS. And if we get HS done on 12/5 we'll hop from AK to MK on 12/6.

Here's the link.

http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions...-operational-changes-to-the-magic-kingdom.htm

I'm really glad now we decided not to go to MK on the 5th. After they cancelled MSEP I was afraid there might be other impacts. I wonder why they closed Mickey's Philharmagic.

Is that from airport shuttles dot com? I'm still deciding that we may be better off just taking a taxi to Royal Paciic.

That was from the Mears Shuttle website. I went to the Hilton's site first and they gave an estimate of what prices run from MCO to their property. Taxi is about $55 each way. I wanted to have an idea before I started looking around at shuttle prices because I didn't what to expect. I went with Mears simply because I feel like I know their reputation better.

Yay!! He just knew if he waited, he would get that great deal. :rotfl2:

... or that I'd throat punch him if he procrastinated anymore! Thanks, Wedgie - that's my new favorite thing to say! :rotfl:

And actually, you're more right than I am. "Allegedly" he's been bidding via priceline for the last few days :confused3 (but did he tell a sista? nope, just kept it to himself) and finally today his bid was accepted. Would it have been nice to know he was at least trying to make a plan? Um yea, it would've been nice to share... :rolleyes1 but that's just me...

Oh No!!! If you have time you may want to try running to a Minute Clinic or Urgent Care or call your doctor and she if he/she will send a prescription to the pharmacy for you. The same thing just happened to my sister. She woke up with no voice, assumed it was a cold, STILL had no voice 10 days later, FINALLY she went to the walk in clinic and got antibiotics and was better 2 days after that.

Is that taxi quote per person or for the two of you? As you can tell, we don't get out much. :lmao:

Hello December DISers! :wave2: We have finally decided to book our first Christmas trip to WDW! We will be staying at POP, arriving late night on Dec 19 until Dec 26. Can't wait!:yay:

Thanks for putting such a great thread together. I'm sure there's a lot to read and learn to preapare ourselves for the busiest time of the year at WDW.

:welcome: Our trip starts on the 19th too! We'll be just across the lake from you at AoA! Only a couple more weeks left to wait!!!

I just came here to post about how we leave a WEEK FROM TODAY! :dance3: And, I realized that I never properly introduced myself. So here goes:

Your 3 sentence biography: I'm a 20-something who is a relatively new Disney World fanatic. My Dbf enjoys the trips, but doesn't get nearly as excited as me. We're gamers who love good movies and travelling. I have a special affinity for Tigger, and Dbf's favorite Disney movie is Aladdin.

First time or Zillionith trip to WDW? This will be our 4th trip in as many years. We both went around age 2, but I won't count those since we don't remember any of it!

Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): We're staying Dec 7-Dec 12. First night offsite, then moving to POP for our first onsite stay. I won 4 - One day park hoppers from My Coke Rewards, so we've got 2 park days and 2 days to enjoy the resorts, DTD, and do some outlet shopping.

Why did you choose December? We've been in August, May, and June for Star Wars Weekends. I swore I'd never go again in the heat, so it was only natural for our next trip to be in December. Plus - Holiday decorations!!!

What are you most looking forward to? The castle with all it's lights, new Fantasyland, and Pin trading for the first time.

My most cherished upcoming ADR: Boma. Dbf and I like to eat unique foods, so I made an ADR here for our first trip. We ended up eating there again before we left, twice the next trip, and once on the third trip. Boma is sooo yummy...can't wait!

Favorite Disney snack: School Bread! Closely followed by the Grand Marnier Orange slush.

My Disney touring style - Commando or Turtle? Commando. It's just the 2 of us, so we make extensive use of fastpasses, crisscross the parks, and try to get everything done.

My upcoming trip is: planned down to the second or going with the flow - I am a big big planner for everything. I've planned a lot for this trip since we have so little time. In the end, our main priorities are seeing things specific to the holidays and doing our favorite attractions in each park.

How you might be able to find me while at Disney: - Walking around with my jaw open, gazing at the wonder that is Disney World.

The Disney character that is most like me and why: I see little bits of myself in Rex from Toy Story, Minnie, and Tigger (especially when I'm at Disney and bouncing off the walls!)

I'm also noticing there are quite a few of us from the Atlanta area. That's pretty cool. Hi all you Georgians!

Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaa! Excellent trip so far ;)

The taxi cost is total - for as many as you can fit :)

If we were more than two people - a taxi would've been better since it's a group rate versus the shuttle which charges per passenger. Hope that make sense.

Boo for the PAP... :headache:

Last year we were 4 for Swan & Dolphin so we did the taxi. It was cheaper and faster than the shuttle,

There is nothing I don't love about this post. Well, except for the bad Punta Cana experience. Have a blast in Disney!!

zOMG 10 days over here. I can NOT keep up with this thread! :(

Trying to decide whether or not to do online check in. And my new shoes I got a month ago are not working out. Do you think it's possible to break in a pair of shoes in a week? :headache:

My backup pair of sneakers for Disney are starting to bother me. They feel great for a while and then there's one spot where they rub my toe. I keep hoping they stretch out a bit and maybe that will help. So far no luck. I'm going to have to mokeskin or something. I'd try to break a new pair in before you go if the alternative is going with shoes that aren't working at all.

Welcome, and hello fellow Georgian! The gamers in the thread have already outted themselves. What's your poison of choice? :goodvibes

Last year we were 4 for Swan & Dolphin so we did the taxi. It was cheaper and faster than the shuttle,

For sure! We're only 2 so roundtrip by taxi would be over $100 (using the estimated $55 per trip listed on the web) so with the roundtrip via shuttle only costing $68 we decided to go that way instead. I figure the difference will be what we spend on lunch ;)

Two more hours of work. These are going to be long hours.

totally feel you - I'm down to my last 30 minutes! I feel the most efficient right now than I have all week! ::yes::
