March 2013 Discounts

Here's the info from the MouseSavers website:

Annual Passholder Room-Only Discounts

New!Stay dates: 1/2/13-3/22/13

Get a substantial discount off regular “Rack” rates. Pricing and savings will vary by resort type and date. 1/18/13-1/20/13 rates are higher and there may be less availability for those dates. Rates not available for all dates, room types and resorts. Minimum stay requirements and/or higher rates may apply for Friday or Saturday arrivals.

Sample discounts off rack rates (standard room):

Value resorts 30% off
Moderate resorts 35% off
Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts 37% off

Other resorts and room types are available with this offer, at varying discounts. Excludes Art of Animation Resort Little Mermaid Standard Rooms, suites and 3-bedroom villas.

This is a room-only offer. If you would like to add a Dining Plan with these rates, there is a special Annual Passholders package.

Book by 1/1/13 for the discounts listed above. Reduced discounts will be available after that date.

To reserve a room with the Annual Passholder discount, call the Disney Reservations Center at (407) W-DISNEY or contact a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel, and request offer code T7G.

Here's hoping that the discount dates get extended for non AP as well. I'm booked March 1 - 9 and the current discount covers all but our last night. And of course that's the first night of peak time AND a weekend so the rate is through the roof.

Yippie. I will be calling in 45 mins when CRO opens!!! :)

Wow I just priced out my vacation with the new AP rates and I will save $364! What a deal!!! AP package for 7 nights with quick service dining $1643. That is awesome! Disney thanks for coming through.

Crossing my fingers for those waiting on a GP discount!

I still haven't lost hope that there will be general public discounts for March dates (especially til the 23rd/24th.)

However, the week before Easter is more iffy.

Th agency I work with was able to get some group bookings from the 16th-30th, so that may be the route to go for a discount until those GP discounts arrive. Call your favorite Disney travel agent and see if they have any special discounts available to clients only. Just a thought.

These group discounts come with a different set of policies so you'll have to decide what's best for you. Tickets must be paid in full when they are added to a reservation ...or you can wait and add them to a room reservation later. Dining must be paid in full when added to a reservation which means if you want something like Cinderella's Royal Table and want to use dining credits you must pay for your meal plan well in advance of normal packages. But you might save $$ overall.

We're also booked 3/1-3/9 under Visa discount. 2br villa at WL so 25% off all but the last night. I called to get a quote for switching to AP discount but the amount quoted was slightly higher. I was confused because I thought it was supposed to be 37%? Anyone know or can check on that?

Different dates have different discounts. We've noted all over the rates boards that Disney is offering discounts at selected amounts at different resorts. It's like a sliding scale to fill each resort. Hard to figure. I also wouldn't give up home that if you called in 3 weeks you might get a different amount. (Although honestly at WL villas I doubt it. They stay pretty full. You are lucky to get a discount at all.)

We're booked 3-20 thru 3-28, Talked to cm at DR yesterday and he told me I had a pin attached to my name but it end on 3-7. :sad1: He told me to keep checking back as I'm also a AAA & Visa holder. Hoping something covers some of our stay as even a couple hundred off would be nice. Free dining would be make me

I am hoping too. The AP rates and the pin codes that exist go through the 22nd and the 23rd, hopefully, a general public discount will come out for at least those dates. My dates are 3/21-3/31. A couple of discounted nights would be nice. An extension of the S/P/D to 3/21 would be even better!!! :)

I'm going in March--first week and am concerned maybe my TA made an error because my deal seems too good to be true!

Thoughts?

air from CA
5 day base tickets
4 nights POR
magic your way plus dining package

all of this for
1 adult and 2 kids (who pay adult rates for tickets and meals)

Total: $1428...

Not sure what agency you use to get your group booking discount, but Magical Vacations Travel does not work this way with their Agency Exclusive discounts. Package deposit and final balance payment policy is the same as Disney's - $200 at booking, final balance due by 45 days prior to check-in (don't have to pay for tickets or dining in advance). Cancellation policy is actually more lenient than a regular Disney package - you can cancel up to 6 days prior to check-in to get a full refund. In other words, pay for it as though it were a package, cancel as though it were room-only. Sounds good to me!

They have discounts from March 10 - March 23 and March 24 - April 6. :thumbsup2
