Visited the new FL at WDW this weekend and here are my thoughts.
Visually appealing. It should open up the grid lock of the past.
The Little Mermaid ride was very good...much better than I expected. A dark ride reminiscent of the Disney past. Kudos!
The B&tB castle is appealing but the scale doesn't achieve the effect I'm sure they were hoping for. It is obviously attempting to trick our senses regarding scale and doesn't quite work. When riding the WDW steam train you get to see the rear of the mountain, which Disney didn't feel necessary to finish (it's just buildings). Bad show.
Overall it's a very nice addition to the Magic Kingdom but ultimately proves that at this point in time Universal cares and/or is doing it better with their improvements. Sorry, but TWWOHP is far superior to this addition even though this addition greatly adds to the MK experience.
