EBPC December 9, 2012!!! PART 2

Just checked website. Assigned 5137. No pixie dust, but just glad to be on the ship. Anyone else on the port side aft of deck 5?

We are right next door in 5139 for now...will probably check to see about an upgrade at the port, but haven't decided what we will do. I think it will depend on the cost.

We got our stateroom #5133. It works for me! I wanted to be close to my dad who is in #5129.

We are. There are three other cabins near us and two other cabins on the Starboard side so far.. We can have a party!:banana::banana:

WOWzers! i just counted 8 cabins Deck 5 aft Port side. We may end up with the whole wing, wouldn't that be great!

Happy Cyber Monday! I know I have been internet shopping instead of working....

Beth -- your gift is truly lovely! He is going to look like such a handsome little man. I wish I could figure out how to knit, but at this point I don't need to add any more "projects" to my life.

WVURunner -- You make me tired just reading your posts! I don't know how you fit it all into a day. Good luck getting everything completed!

Linda -- I love that Dimples has such an extensive wardrobe! My son and I passed Build a Bear this week and noticed that Rudolph the Reindeer was rocking some adorable roller skates. Maybe Dimples needs a few presents under the tree this year?

I am so excited for everyone finding out their staterooms. I hope everybody is happy with the assignments.

I have finally finished that beast of a book, "The Path Between the Seas" so I feel like I have "earned" my trip through the canal. I loved certain parts of it, other parts seemed like they would never end, and the final pages seemed to not have enough devoted to the actual engineering of the canal. What does everyone else think?

I called Disney today to order some stateroom gifts. The operator assisting me was from Colombia. We got into a long discussion on the Canal and she was quick to let me know that Panama orignially belonged to Columbia. She commented how lovely Cartagena was, stating that the water is a gorgeous aqua and the people are very warm and friendly. Emeralds and gold should be abundant for purchase. She also let me know that US currency would be perfectly acceptable, but change would be given in pesos, which could be exchanged onboard the ship.

Good luck to everybody as we head into the last few days! And keep your fingers crossed that I own enough luggage for all the items I have set out to take with us....

Old tour guide adage : Take half the stuff and twice the money as you plan!
( That's why I sketched out on a calendar exactly what I might wear on the various days of the cruise. I discovered, I DO NOT need 18 tops.)

Last year, Dimples and OC Received a rocking horse for Christmas. But that was more for him. She usually wants clothes.:rolleyes2 I passed through the bear store this morning though, and most of them looked too small for her. They've 'downsized' their bears, you know, in order to hit their price point.

SO excited that y'all are getting your room assignments - and HAPPY that so many of you are in the same general location. Deck 5 Aft is wonderful - I always try to get it.

Jeff;
Could you please update the roll call page to include our cabin# 5137 and early seating for dining.
Thanks for all you do.

Will do. I will add stateroom numbers of all who post in the forum by default, unless you tell me not to.

I've also just updated the Roll Call page to add:

paulcrsb
cecechaffee
PirateJohn
tessa67
Blue Water Fisherman

We got our room assignments. We got 7625 and 7623, 11A, aft. They aren't connecting rooms but we are glad they are next door. No split bathrooms but we don't really need them so hopefully some families of 4 got them! We are just thrilled to be on the ship.
Dimples has a huge wardrobe. Her 'costumes' hare the bottom of an antique washstand with her brother's costumes. Then she has about 3 feet of a rod in my closet, and 3 feet of a rod in the spare room closet. I'm trying to hold her down to pirate dress, princess dress, formal night dress, casual outfit and beach outfit, but she's definitely into the clothes.
Wow, I don't share my closet with anyone, not even my DH. I take up 3 and half out of 4 closets. I am forced to share the half!
which day will it happen? we will try to come by.

Sorry, My bad, I shouldn't have left out that detail. It will happen on Saturday, December 8th. We have breakfast at 7am in the park and it opens at 8 so I am hoping the timing works out.

I am still only at 50% completion of the book, hopfully I can finish it while on the plane and relaxing on the cruise! before we hit the canal.

And it just got worse.....
I knew it was going to be a bad day in the office when my boss sent me a txt last night saying she was sorry and it wasn't her fault...
Our December workload came out and I am booked for 300 hrs in December, that is 380 hrs if you include my PTO! Worst part is, as the PDL, if I don't get most of it done before I leave, 6 people can't do their work for December. Fitting 300 hours into a 160 work month is bad enough but now I am going to fit it in to 80 hrs! This involves me working out of our DC office so all the last minute stuff I was hoping to do, I won't have the time. Plus I have a huge client meeting on December 4th and those hours don't include my landfill shifts! Which, of course, is my fault because I shouldn't have agreed to do work for the other side of the company. My head boss does not like sharing me.

I NEED A VACATION:beach:
And the icing on the cake, my best friend and co-worker just told me she will be transfering to our Hawaii office, which is where she is from. I am happy for her but I am going to miss her.

I spoke to my sister today and she wanted me to ask those who have 9 year olds, how many are still believers? My nephew is still a believers but she was wondering how much talk there might be on the subject amongest the kids. She is hoping all the non-believers might be in Edge and that most in the lab will still believe. Thoughts?

All I can say, we better all get along because there will be no hiding. :goodvibes I was trying to send you an email with a photo to update the roll call, but I think I am too excited about the room number and struggled with link the picture. I think I will eat dinner and email later.

Our nine year totally believes. I am also hoping all those non believers are in the Edge!:santa:
