Ultrasound on dw's leg came out good. No blood clots so it's a torn muscle. Not great but it was our best case outcome.

Watched Mary Poppins with the kids (again). Definitely my daughter's favorite. It even inspired her and DW to come up with a Mary Poppins themed birthday party. Guess who gets to dress up like Bert..

Nice work. The 10K I submitted was somewhere around 56 minutes. But like I said, I ran 6.2 miles on Thursday as well. I was hoping to be under an hour, but would up at about 61.5 minutes. But then again, I stopped to pee in the woods. Did you?

:thumbsup2
My body does weird things during halfs I don't I could pee if I had to during a race.

Happy birthday James.

The NASCAR drivers don't stop to pee. Maybe you need to consider that.

Prayers for DW. Have a safe trip.

That was my thought. $2 million after taxes could still buy a nice home near the beach, invest in mutual funds or dividend stocks, and invest some in real estate and/or a business for additional cashflow. I would just have to be a little more careful.

It'd be weird to run with one of those little urine cups in your pants.

Yeah I think it take 4 for me to stop now. But as I get older I could do with less.

Good point. But running 13.1 miles in a diaper or with a catheter would probably slow me down.
you want to run in one of those little swimmers. Not as bulky as a diaper.

Hmmm. Couldn't find those on the Disney site. Would love to find something under $20. Checking Amazon now. Will let everyone know if I find something interesting.
We ordered dd's Cinderella pumpkin carriage necklace on eBay.

No Domers.

Careful what you wish for in firing a coach who got you to a bowl game. It can get worse, much worse.

You can have Tim Beckman. Us Illini fans are already done with him.

It might be an improvement, lol
Wouldn't take much.

This team was talented enough that they should have been in line to play in Indianapolis next week. That's kind of what Hope had in common with Zook, he could recruit, but he couldn't do anything with the talent. They lost on a last second Field Goal to Notre Dame, they lost in the closing seconds to Ohio State. They proved to have the talent to go toe to toe with anyone, they just lacked the ability to finish off games. That coupled with Hope's desire to stick with Terbush as his starter, even when Marve would come in late in the game and put up more passing yards in 1 qtr than Terbush would all game didn't help him any. If the move to Marve as starter had happened sooner, I feel like this team could have easily been 4 - 4 or better in conference, which is all it took for Wisconsin to get to the championship.

Don't take this the wrong way, but would you be excited about making a bowl game by beating the 2012 versions of Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana? :confused3 The combined record of teams Purdue beat was 25 - 45, and 8 of those wins came from Eastern Kentucky.

It's just hard to get excited about going to Detroit for a bowl game, which is where Purdue has gone the last 2 times they've been to a bowl and probably will this time too. I think if you have a program that is satisfied with a .500 record and routinely driving north for a bowl game, then you're essentially settling for mediocrity.

I would really prefer to send all of you a card, but I don't have your address and can't afford the cards or postage for everyone. So, hear is a Christmas Card for everyone.

Awwww... You shouldn't have.. No, really.
Nice pic. Actually I think I'll do the same thing.

I've heard stories of hardcore runners who refuse to stop and just drop a messy deuce in their shorts. Takes cropdusting to a whole new level.

I don't blame you. For a long time IU has been the laughing stock of the Big 10. But, we went out and got a coach that will hopefully get us to a bowl. IU will never have the emphasis on football that Purdue will and that is sad. I enjoyed watching Ortin and Brees. I used to work with AT Simpson.

I don't blame you, just warning that it could get worse. Going to Detroit for a bowl game is like getting to dance with the hot girls friend at the end of the night.:lmao:

Good morning fellow dads, just read on the Facebook page thatScott aka Singledad DisDad #594 passed away Oct 7th, I didn't have any interactions with him but as a single dad and Disney fan, I send my sympathys and thoughts out to his daughter

May he RIP...

Prayers all around to the kids and family.

Hi guys  Checking back in after a long week of being away. Traveled to Ohio on Wed to visit my wife's sister and her husband. We found out that my BIL has some form of terminal cancer and figured we would go visit him before too long. We are waiting on tests that will be done between today and tomorrow to see where the cancer is in his body and whether or not it's treatable. Very somber Thanksgiving this year. Spent Friday in Canton with my side of the family... they are doing well. My mom is still cancer free (8 months now). Drove back on Saturday. Spent yesterday putting in a new A/C register in the upstairs laundry room. Have no idea why the previous owner spent all this time and money to move the washer/drier from the first floor to the second floor and never put in a register for the room. :confused3 Also spent a few hours getting the Christmas decorations out of the attic. Glad to back at my desk job today :lmao:

I did not read through the previous pages... so... welcome to any new members, happy birthday to those that had a birthday and hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving holiday! :thumbsup2

Don that sucks...

Just like my daughters math assignments, I'll be praying for good news when the tests come back...

OK... maybe not the right time for a joke... :)

We'll keep you all in our thoughts.

Consecutive Monday page ownage!

DD got her ears pierced yesterday for the first time. Just walking through the mall and she decided she wanted them pierced. I asked if she was sure and she said yes, but wanted to listen to Disney music while it was done to relax her (she's definitely my daughter and hooked for life:rotfl2:). She got birthstone flowers as the starter set, but made it perfectly clear that she expects Tinkerbell earrings for Christmas to put in as soon as the starter ones come out. Anyone seen any good ones for preteens? The ones on Disney.com are all $500 and up. They need to be sterling silver or gold.

My daughter is petrified of any pain... I've asked her if she will ever pierce her ears, she said NO WAY!

Good evening gentlemen. Still winding down from a wild weekend. Between working graves and doing all the family stuff has left me shot.
