I am sorry that they can't see how precious your DD is, that makes me sad. :sad1:

Yep, for us it went downhill after DD8 was born too, and I all of a sudden I was doing everything wrong, not sharing the baby enough, too much on a schedule, I was making her stutter (she outgrew it ). I just took her criticisms with a stiff upper lip, but always vented to DH. The poor guy. It wasn't until after she started treating the DD's poorly, and outright yelling at middle DD all the time that I politely told her no more. Really I was polite!! :) But all h**l broke loose with DH's siblings too, how dare I cross mommy. So it brings us three years later to this point. But honestly we are good.

The AG dolls that I got for the DD's all have different eye colors (like theirs) and slightly different hairstyles. I am sooo excited to give them these dolls! :goodvibes Usually it is DH that overindulges them, so we have kind of switched roles....and I like it!:rotfl:

We got the look-a-like ones too...with different eye colors too! :goodvibes
DD8 eyes are a little lighter than DD6, so we got hazel for DD8 and brown for DD6, but otherwise, the dolls look the same.

I can't wait until the girls get them!!! It's literally the only
thing they have asked for!!!

Problem is, we are only 45 minutes from Boston and the girls know it...they are going to want to be at the AG store all the time! :headache:

Yes I can expect us making a trip there too! :hyper: BTW Candace....:thumbsup2 for going back to Beach Club! I think the location is really really convenient there and worth it totally! Even though we have only eaten dinner and not actually stayed there!

The Poly is one of the resorts my DH told me he was interested in staying in when we were talking about where to book. He surprised me with wanting to stay at the GF. After staying at the Pop Century on this last trip, I would really like to stay at a Deluxe this time.
My DH would much prefer Poly or Wl, but when I told hime the rates were only good at GF YC/BC..GF was an easy sell :goodvibes

( Today I filled out an application to adopt this little one! http://malteserescue.homestead.com/AdoptMalteseRescuePeanut.html )
Good luck! Your loving home is perfect for this furbaby

For SWW, we have not decided...but are thinking All Star Movies....or YC, you know depending on financials....

Why not YC for the April trip....:rolleyes1

Aug. 25-31st GF :cheer2: and

And I know this my cause some to spit out their coffee or :rotfl2: BUT this IS the trip! Really it is!!!

Jeanette – The kids know that CL is a one time deal (for now anyway), I am excited to be able to watch Wishes even on the MVMCP night. YAY YAY YAY on GF this summer!!!! I know you are disappointed that you are not going in Jan and it wont be the same without the RC’ers, but at least you have a great summer trip to look forward to. I think your advice to Candace was so true…we don’t always plan for what we have, sometimes it is just up to a greater power. I honestly believe if DD hadn’t been so difficult we would definitely have more.

Melissa
I hope DS is better soon, and his endoscopy goes on uneventfully. Good luck to you at the surgeon's

I am very thankful for my Summer trip, and I'd like to do the family proud by leaving it as is. Everyone is all jazzed..we have many GF based plans already. DS11 loves the Beach Pool slide...I couldn't entice him with SAB ;) There is so much the kids haven't done or seen...Test track refurb, the girls want to try ToT...all the new Fantasyland rides...the new Gasparillas!! And the thing with GV at the Grand...you can't go wrong! I did promise the kids a neverending supply of snacks...so it's time for the Pas clan World Cupcake Tasting Tour
Sorry about the January trip
It's ALL GOOD!!!! :cloud9:

This sums it up soooo well...

Last night, after my change to BC...DH could tell something was up....he asked what I had done to our Disney reservation????? (Cuz that's when I starting acting guilty about something apparently)

After some hemming and hawing, I told him about BC....he laughed and then asked if I booked CL....
:lmao:
They alllllways know.
They sure do

We have an ocean between us so I don't need to deal with it too much anymore, thankfully. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent, ladies.
:headache: I'd like to provide Miss M with some surrogate cousins :grouphug: She'd love my crazy crew!!!
Letthewookiewin: Please, teach me how to knit! I never got past the "knit one" onto the "purl two" stage.
Me either :guilty:

So, SWW is looking really good...and relatively cheap. The airfare is awesome and DH has confirmed he is not working....my problem is the dates...and I am afraid to book airfare based on tentative dates...WWYD??? Wait a few more weeks???

You can change dates with SW...right?

That's it. I'm hopping in SOMEONE'S suitcase! SWW has me jonesin'. (Maybe wait a bit unless you can book a no-change-fee fare? Does JB offer that?)

Thanks, Jen. So good for you that you said something. We're so lucky we can vent to our hubs. I'd seriously :furious: if he didn't agree with my assessment of all of the craziness -- makes it so much easier. As does not living remotely close! :rotfl2:

Ooooooooooooh, it's so nice when MOMMY can do the spoiling for a change. :goodvibes You'll have to get a pic of them opening them up! And you too, Candace! I just love those classic "WHOA, Look what Santa brought us" pictures. Nothing beats that for pure heart-melt nostalgia.

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: THE trip? The one of many you mean? :lmao: We know our Jeanette. :thumbsup2 I'm just wondering how many times it'll change back and forth before it lands on GF again. We need to start a public service campaign for those poor CRO people -- like the "Be Kind, Rewind" one. Need a catchy slogan though...

:headache: I'd like to provide Miss M with some surrogate cousins :grouphug: She'd love my crazy crew!!!

 I know she would absolutely adore them! She had a blast hanging out with Jen's kids for the few minutes we met up at BC in September. Must be an only-child thing... she LOVES being with other kids. (Or mommy's just extremely boring.:confused3  )

For SWW the great airfare is actually through SW out of my city. :thumbsup2

No change fees....:rolleyes1

One thing I'm still having an issue with is that we will have to take DD8 out of school for 1.5 days again (we are already doing that in April)....:scared1:

Hi everyone! New to the thread by fit in completely! Lol! We originally were booked YC CL for our December trip...then we found out a new baby would arrive in July and hubby started a new job, so we switched to Pop. Solely thinking to save a ton of money. Realized we would be extremely unhappy at a value, had the money to book BC CL. But then AP came out and hubby always wanted to stay GF.
So same money we'd be spending before but are now Sugarloaf for half the trip and RPC for last couple days.
Now I'm considering trying a whole new resort instead of sugarloaf...really wanted RPC for the whole trip but its not available 1 day in the middle of the trip.
Oh and I fall into the MIL didn't like me after children arrived :) seems they always know better and you are doing it all wrong!

You're gonna fit RIGHT in! :welcome: So, which whole new resort are you thinking about? :hyper: popcorn::

Hey ladies I just read through but don't have enough time to comment, you know I will latter.

Here's my quick run down:
- DS seemed good this morning so off to school he went
- Thumbs up from surgeon and don't have to go back unless there is a problem
- DD called that she had an accident at school (this has NEVER happened before) but I was sitting at the surgeon so the secretary took care of it with clothes they have for emergencies and told me not to worry. I know this happened because DD was in a mood this morning and wouldn't pee before she went to school.
- got sweatpants at Justice for DD, Ketel One for me, and Bacardi Torched Cherry for DH, you know the important stuff for WDW ;)

Now to pack up snacks so I can get the kiddos and be off to DD's therapy appt. oh the fun never stops :)

Happy Monday!!!

Let's make it more complicated.......Just found out that I am getting a $900 performance bonus at work in January :dance3:

That pretty much pays for the whole SWW trip!!! (or CL for April trip)....

We're thinking BWI...we love the Epcot Resort area. Beach Club was our absolute favorite but I want to try other resorts. I'm sure they all have their positives and no other way to find out unless you try them all :)

I think I should have fully woken up before reading your post. It totally had me freaked out thinking, " omg, she crawled right inside my head and pulled my thoughts out." lol

Yes, I am in your head. Bwah-ha-ha-ha!

All of this MIL talk, it's so nice to have a group that understands! Can I vent a little too? I fall into the category of the "Evil Son-Stealing Woman." It's a bit of an odd scenario with mine; we got along so well ... up until I got pregnant and it all went downhill from there. (Even made a snide comment about the name we chose when seeing Miss M for the first time as a baby! Seriously... what the hay?) I try really hard to not let it get to me but when we actually do see them (they live overseas), it kinda brings it all back to the surface again. When we were there back in the spring after not having seen them for 2 years -- which was a visit to solely see MIL and FIL -- they spent the 4 days we were there all but ignoring Miss M. She'd sit in the room where they would be watching TV and color or read and play with her toys quietly. When she would start talking to her dolls, MIL would turn the volume up on the TV. Not even talking loudly ... just a quiet kid talking to her toys. That's how little they want to do with her. 5 minutes of interaction the entire time is a very generous estimate. Never calls here. Never asks how she is or what she's doing in school. It just boggles my mind. I truly don't understand it -- how someone can be that disinterested. We have an ocean between us so I don't need to deal with it too much anymore, thankfully. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent, ladies.

This just breaks my heart. You would think they would be all over themselves to take advantage of every last second. :confused3

I wish I had my ex-fiancee's mom for a MIL. She was so awesome! Her son, well.... I made the right choice, but still.

You should totally change your screen siggie to call yourself Evil Son Stealer. :duck: :rotfl:

So, SWW is looking really good...and relatively cheap. The airfare is awesome and DH has confirmed he is not working....my problem is the dates...and I am afraid to book airfare based on tentative dates...WWYD??? Wait a few more weeks???

Ut oh, have they perfected batting their eyes at daddy yet? Maybe you better hold off on SWW and see how many AG store trips are in your future first:rotfl2:

All this AG talk has me excited for when my DD gets older. I can't wait to do girly things! princess:

Sometimes even a diehard RCer gets it right the first time! I'd say it's definitely GF time for the pas crew. GV wll be perfect. CL x 2 is really a poor value. Really. ::yes:: Of course I only tell you that because it helps resist the urge. :flower3:

A cupcake tour sounds wonderful!

For SWW the great airfare is actually through SW out of my city. :thumbsup2

Yay!!! No more doctor!!! Congrats!!! :yay:

Second trip, second trip! If it was somewhere else besides BC/YC I'd be pushing the CL, but they are just not my faves. (says the girl who is staying YC CL next month :sad2:)

:)

Thank you! We're looking at any deluxe resort really, trying to stay CL...easier when you have little ones in tow to just grab a snack!

We've always loved BC but want to try elsewhere...hubby previously stayed at poly & I stayed YC (non club for both), we love the Epcot area but our 3yo spends a lot of time at MK. I'm open to suggestions but I may change a few more times before we go...besides I have up until 5 days prior before seeing a change fee!! Lol!

Strictly speaking of CLs, my top 2 are BWI and RPC. However, overall my top 2 resorts are Poly and YC. Clear as mud, right? Have you thought about a split between a MK resort and a Epcot resort?

Your trip is so soon! I can't wait to see where you end up! :goodvibes

Your life -- we can definitely say it's not boring! ;) Fabulous news from the docs. Got the necessities for the trip, I see. :rotfl:

Let's make it more complicated.......Just found out that I am getting a $900 performance bonus at work in January

That pretty much pays for the whole SWW trip!!! (or CL for April trip)....

That's not more complicated... that's LESS! :worship: Let me put my vote in now for TWO trips, no CL. :hyper:

We're thinking BWI...we love the Epcot Resort area. Beach Club was our absolute favorite but I want to try other resorts. I'm sure they all have their positives and no other way to find out unless you try them all

Putting another vote in for BWI. Just because you've already done BC&YC. ;) I just love the Epcot area. :lovestruc

This just breaks my heart. You would think they would be all over themselves to take advantage of every last second.

I wish I had my ex-fiancee's mom for a MIL. She was so awesome! Her son, well.... I made the right choice, but still.

You should totally change your screen siggie to call yourself Evil Son Stealer. :duck: :rotfl:

Thanks muchly. I hate whining about it but knew I'd get a sympathetic ear here. ::yes:: The RCing sisters just understand! Yeah, that's what I thought as well -- hadn't seen her in over two years, you'd think they'd show a bit of interest. Not in their genetic coding it seems -- they're totally devoid of any grandparenting prowess. I think there might be a theme we have going on here in this thread... my ex's (ex of many, MANY moons ago) mom was really sweet. :confused3

:lmao: That would be an excellent moniker... :scratchin :darth:

I'm so sorry you have to deal with inlaws like that and your angel has grandparents like that. I can't imagine my parents or inlaws being like that with my boys. Especially if they had an ocean between them.

Thank you. Gets me a little sad every now and again because I think about how they're missing out. Anywho! They are quite an interesting pair, my in-laws. I'm much better at handling "interesting" now that we've got a 4,000 miles between us. ::yes::

My DH will swear that I watched the video on how to cast-on 200 times before I got it right.

Oh, a video?! :surfweb: Do they have a "Purl for Dummies" one? My one attempt at knitting (only knit stitch, mind you) still sits upstairs in a cabinet... all 8 or so inches of it. Maybe I should make it into a neck gaiter? :rotfl2:

When it comes down to it, I think the DH would prefer what ever resort gives the best discount.

This! Maybe our hubs are related? :scratchin

Your trip is so soon! I can't wait to see where you end up! :goodvibes

Haha! I was leaning towards BWI since we've been to BC already and the Yacht Club is almost one in the same. I'm already slightly disappointed with IPO from GF. They haven't been helpful at all...hoping the club staff makes up for it!

Hi jcondrad, I'm still getting caught up from our trip, so my posts have been sorta short. Just wanted to add my two cents...
I love, love the Yacht, Beach and BWI IPO. They are really fantastic. Whether I email them, or call, they are always so responsive and prompt.
If you book CL at any of the Epcot resorts, I think you'll like them. :thumbsup2

Thank you. Gets me a little sad every now and again because I think about how they're missing out. Anywho! They are quite an interesting pair, my in-laws. I'm much better at handling "interesting" now that we've got a 4,000 miles between us. ::yes::

I had grandparents like that, but they lived less than 30 minutes from us. They missed more of my birthdays than they remembered. The only thing I ever did was that I had the "nerve" to look like my mom's side of the family instead of their's.

Oh, a video?! :surfweb: Do they have a "Purl for Dummies" one? My one attempt at knitting (only knit stitch, mind you) still sits upstairs in a cabinet... all 8 or so inches of it. Maybe I should make it into a neck gaiter? :rotfl2:

I learned a lot from the tutorials at knitpicks.com. I don't know what style of knitting you tried, but that might be some of the problem. I tried continental knitting and I couldn't make it work. English style may work better for you.

This! Maybe our hubs are related? :scratchin

:lmao: Maybe they are

That's too bad. Was there something specific, or just an overall impression?

I agree. They are all great on the Epcot side. ::yes::
