Hello everyone! I'm still fighting with photobucket, so bear with me! I'm chellymouse (35) and a lover of all things Mickey from the tender age of 2 (I blame my mother) and my DH (39) and what we kindly refer to as a "closet mouse lover" :rotfl2: For those of who may remember, we "took the family to WDW and survived" in June (does anyone know how to link a TR to your siggy?) my darling DSIS, niece and nephew started calling their Aunt Chell "the bottomless pit" because, well, I like to eat and I REALLY like my snacks at WDW and since we only get 15-20 days a year at the world...what better time for the bottomless pit to take a trip than during F&W fest? We booked a 1BR at SSR (our home resort) for 10/12-10/21 as this was my "gift" from DH for having the family with us for 11 days in June. This trip was just us, which was awesome because we have been averaging company about every other trip. (we're VERY generous with our points...no we don't rent, but we do invite company frequently) After our usual craziness the day before leaving and DH and his buddies partaking in large quantities of adult beverage the night before (DH says it keeps the plane from crashing..:-)confused3) I should also mention that our camera had acted up on our June trip so shortly after we arrived home, we bought a "grown up" camera (Nikon D5100) and were very anxious to try it out at the World! The morning of 10/12 arrived, our friend very kindly rode with us to the airport and drove our Jeep home so we didn't have to pay the ridiculous charges to keep it at the airport, and were very lucky! Our plane took off 5 minutes early and landed 20 minutes early! :cool1: Since we had been upgraded to business class, we were the first 2 people off the plane! We were seated on our DME motorcoach and actually leaving the parking lot at the time we should have been landing! pixiedust: That's some serious pixie dust and hopefully how our day would continue! We arrived at SSR and our room wasn't ready so we dumped our gear and headed over to the Springs stop and within a few minutes, the MK bus arrives! Thankfully, we had our PAP purchased from our June trip along with our TIW card and all of our tickets for MNSSHP so all we had to do was go! We arrived at MK and stopped for our arrival pic!

We'd had an early morning with crummy food so we made a "pit" stop at Casey's, corn dog nuggets for me and 2 hot dogs with fries for DH. After we had hoovered our Casey's it was time for Dole Whips! We finished our Dole Whips on the way to POTC for our "first ride" Ahhhh, life is good! We snagged FP for BTMRR after POTC, the "pit" needed some popcorn so we stopped for popcorn then made our way over to HM. After our visit with the 999 happy haunts, we did our obligatory ride on ISAW. It was time for our BTMRR FP so we went back over and rode. After BTMRR, we saw that Splash was going to re-open so we went and got in line. Unfortunately, Splash went down again (and for the rest of the day as far as we could tell) just before we could get on and the CM began to clear the queue. At least we received FP for any other ride for the rest of the day. We decided to take a quick spin through Fantasyland then over to Tomorrowland (MNSSHP was tonight so the park was closing at 7pm) pixiedust: for us.....Fantasy land was in its first hours of soft open! We met Gaston, had some LeFou's brew from the tavern and oh yes...We got to ride Under the Sea!!!! :cool1: Here's a few pics!

We left fantasyland and took a quick spin on Dumbo (boy is the 2 sided Dumbo nice!), used our FP for Space Mtn and took a beating from DH on Buzz! By now it was nearing 6pm and we were getting hungry. We had decided not to make an ADR for tonight and just call an audible for dinner. Since Epcot was open until 10pm and it was F&W we decided to make our way over there. We hopped the monorail and arrived at Epcot. We stopped at the festival center to look around, checked out the Chase lounge (which was surprisingly pretty cool), got a free sample of peppermint bark from Ghiradelli and made our way back to WS. Holy flying elephants it was PACKED! We decided to go over to the BW and thankfully, ESPN wasn't very busy so we had drinks and dinner there. WS was still really crowded on our way back through after dinner (and we had agreed to head home by 9pm and it was nearing 9) so we made our way to the front of the park, stopped for a couple of pics then headed out to the bus stop.

We arrived at SSR and hopped off the bus at the Grandstand, walked to the Carriage House and got our room number (1603 Congress Park) stopped by bell services, which was VERY busy, and waited for someone to grab our carry on junk and piles of groceries, put us on a golf cart and drove us home. I should mention that we are "congress park snobs" and we only live in CP. Thankfully that request has been met every trip! Because bell services was so busy, we didn't arrive to our villa until well after 10pm. We unpacked, put our groceries away, set up "command center" otherwise known as the electronics charging area, showered and made it to bed by 11:30pm. Not to bad for a "travel day". Up next... our first full day starting with a 7:30am ADR for breakfast with Stitch!

Yay!! Can't wait to hear more!

Hello SSRMonkey! Just finished catching up on your TR. You know....I love my DH, but if you squint enough....well....he kind of looks like the Squatch that you and koala have been hunting! :rotfl2:

YAY!! ChellyMouse is back! I LOVE hearing about all the snacks!! ;)

:welcome: and thank you for joining in! The snack count is about to go viral!!

Hmm...was he running around in the woods between SSR and THV last week? And does he like to hang out under bridges? :)

It's Saturday and our first full day at the World. Someone....:rolleyes1 had a bright idea that a 7:30ADR at Ohana to start the day with Stitch is a great idea! The alarm was set, however, we didn't get moving on time. We arrived up at the Carriage House at 7:20am hoping to get a cab quickly. Well...cabs were a hard thing to come by that morning. We finally got one at 7:40am. We arrived at Poly at 7:50am, thankfully the lady at check in (seeing how utterly distressed I was) took pity on us and seated us almost right away! By far, this is the Pit's favorite breakfast! All you can eat and Stitch juice, which I have just about perfected the recreation at home! (thank you DH for bringing me the ingredients home!) Here's a few of our friends that came around during breakfast!

After the pit was substantially fed, and our amazing server gave me a "to go" cup filled with Stitch juice, it was time to head to MK! Now, remember, who's bright idea a 7:30am ADR was....the same person who thought we'd make RD for sure to MK...wrong!! MK decided to open at 8am today. So, no RD for us! We arrived at MK right around 9am and thankfully, the park was still pretty empty. We dropped our gear in a locker and made our way over to Tomorrowland. We grabbed FP for Space and then went to Buzz. I really needed to redeem myself and wouldn't you know it...we got stopped on Buzz and I somehow found the 100,000 point target! I gave DH a royal beating earning a coveted 999,999! I knew no one would believe it and since one can score any higher than that, I dug the camera out and took a pic!

145.jpg
[/IMG]

After Buzz, we still had some time to kill so we took a spin on TTA. It was then time for our Space FP so we rode space then headed back to the Storybook circus. Of course we had to ride the rotten spinning, vomit comets, I mean the teacups....a full pit and the teacups are not a good combination! While I'm now sipping on a Sprite and DH is laughing his head off, we made our way over to the Storybook circus. We took a spin on Dumbo with little wait then went over to check out the new character area and gift shop.

We cruised near the castle and Main St. The Mayor of Main St was out greeting guests and this was the first time we'd ever seen him up close!

We then went over and got to ride Splash today! :cool1: Splash being down was a common theme over the course of this trip! We then rode BTMRR again and of course, POTC. By now it was close to lunch time so we decided to spend the rest of the day at Epcot. The pit was needing a feeding so I got a popcorn to hold me over until we arrived at Epcot.
Up next....the pit vs. F&W...Round 1!

Hmm...was he running around in the woods between SSR and THV last week? And does he like to hang out under bridges? :)

Unfortunately, we were not at our second home last week...however, he has been known to hang out under bridges from time to time.....

We arrived at Epcot via the monorail..please stand clear of the doors, por favor mantagenase alejardo de las puertas...sorry...I digress. That's one of my ringtones and it just went off! We stopped at the festival center to grab some passports and to check out Allison Victoria from Kitchen Crashers. I'd really like to run into her at Lowe's or Home Depot one of these days....she can crash my kitchen anytime! DH decided his favorite "decoration" was the what not to do...decorate the toilet, which I have since vetoed...no Mickey in the can, no Santa in the can!

We then made our way into the WS, which was busy but manageable.
We stopped in the Carribean first and tried the ropa veija and the jerk chicken drumstick that were both tasty! Also picked up a dragonberry colada and they were so tasty that we each got one! Moving onto Scandanavia the pit filled upon swedish meatballs and ride pudding...the pit does not care for rice pudding...it's texture was just too weird. DH didn't like it either. the Iron Horse Fairy Tale sparkling wine was pretty tasty too! DH isn't a big cheese eater so the pit stopped for a cheese fondue and riesling...the riesling was better than the cheese....the cheese was a bit stinky! It was then off to Germany where both DH and the Pit made good work. We had decided to share however, that didn't work out too well! We each gor a roast brat with pretzel roll and apple strudel which were outstanding. We decided to share the spatezel...that was not good. DH had quite a sampling of beer and the pit had the wine sampler to wash all of the snacks down! Since we were close and starting to get a little full, we stopped at Poland which was disappointing. The kielbassa and pierogie tasted like anything we could have purchased and reheated from our local grocery store however the belvedere frozen apple lemon tea made up for it! DH then decided he needed some Red Stag so we stopped and got him the frozen lemonade and frozen honey tea lemonade which he still didn't think he needed to drink slowly and suffered some serious brain freeze! :rotfl2: By the fifth time, it was just funny! That will learn ya! Since we were close, we stopped at Hops and Barley for a lobster roll, pumpkin mousse and Sam Adams sampler. All were tasty! By now it was late afternoon, it was near 90 degrees (we had several days that were summer warm) and we were both a bit "full and fuzzy" It was also starting to get a little crazy so we decided to head back to the resort to swim off our full and fuzzies! Normally, I am cute and fluffy....not so much! We went back to SSR, changed and went up to the Springs pool, which was actually quite cold! After deciding a cold pool was for the birds, we went over to one of the hot tubs and made friends with another couple who also thought the pool was awfully cold! The full and fuzzies were wearing off so we headed in to grab showers then made our way to DTD. We stopped at EOS for dinner and the skies opened and angels sang....ok not really, but they were serving the holiday sandwich, which the pit is quite fond of! DH got his usual cannonballs. After we finished our sandwiches and BBQ chips, we decided to shop. We picked up some of the new earhat ornaments at the Christmas shop and sent them for personalization. We also bought a bat from Team Mickey for our friend to give to his DS for Christmas....it was the least we could do...he saved us more than the cost of the bat in parking at the airport! We also did a bit of shopping at World of Disney. The pit was needing a feeding and thankfully Ghiradelli wasn't horribly busy so we stopped for a nice big butterscotch, hot fudge sundae which was enjoyed immensenly. We were pretty tired so we decided to call it a night and head back to SSR. We made it to bed by 10:30pm.
Up next....F&W vs. bottomless pit... Round 2 and our first night of MNSSHP!!

Unfortunately, we were not at our second home last week...however, he has been known to hang out under bridges from time to time.....

Good to know. Since we actually didn't see the Squatch maybe it really is your DH that we were hunting... Koala wanted to ask if you could send something to Abby at NCIS for analysis. Then we would know for sure. Haha.

Congrats on your score on Buzz. That's literally more than 100% better than my Mom.

Congrats on your score on Buzz. That's literally more than 100% better than my Mom.

Tell Koala that I will snip a piece of his hair tonight while he's sleeping and send it....I'm curious myself! Thank you! That is the best score I've ever had on Buzz and probably the only time I will do that. The next trip on Buzz was definitely not pretty! I'm more like your mom when it comes to Buzz. TSM is my party rock!

That sounds like an excellent idea. I'll anxiously be awaiting the results. If you can't get in touch with Abby, my aunt, the scientist, might be able to help us out with the analysis. Maybe the mystery will be solved. I'm not giving up on finding night vision goggles though just in case.

Party rock!!! :cool1:

It's Sunday and a big day for the Pit! Round 2 of F&W fest! We got up around 8am, got ready for the day, packed up and up to the AP around 8:40am for our customary mouse waffle with bacon. After breakfast we went over to the Springs to catch a bus to Epcot. Thankfully it wasn't a long wait and we arrived at Epcot shortly after RD. I ran for FP for Soarin while DH grabbed a locker. We met up at Mission Space and did the orange side twice. Still can't bring ourselves to try to weenie, I mean green side... :offtopic: I will say that during our monorail trips, it looks like TT has a looooong way to go before it's ready to re-open. I will be surprised if it opens Dec. 6th. After we safely landed in Mars, we went over to visit the seas with Nemo and friends and also visit with the manatees. Had to pull some pics out...the mods have asked that we have no more than 25 pics per post. Sorry about that! After our visit with the manatees, we stopped at Club Cool for some refreshing beverages. We did manage to get a newbie couple to try the Beverly....all I can say is at least they were good sports! After some non-adult beverages, we went over the festival center to check out the food displays and try some wine!

[/IMG]

After leaving the festival center, we went over to the locker to grab some much needed waters as it was still pretty hot today.
We also grabbed a few pics near the front of the park, along with playing with the new camera. I am still amazed at how great our photos with our new camara are!

On our way back to WS, we stopped in Mouse Gear to do some shopping. Packages shipped to the resort and now it was time to eat! Now you may have noticed....the pit hasn't been fed since breakfast! Today we started at the other end and Hawaii was the first stop and did not disappoint. The Kaula pork slider was excellent as was the 7 tiki mai tai! From there we moved onto Canada and DH tried a bite of each, but he thought it was just food from Le Cellier and it wasn't all that great...super! More for the pit! The cheddar cheese soup wasn't all that great, but chicken chipolte sausage with polenta and the beef filet were exceptional! Had some Niege bubble to wash it all down and then moved onto the France to try to cuq a vin and sparkling pomegrante kir...and a grand marnier slush...the French sure know how to make a great drink! We then stopped in Belgium for waffles and DH grabbed a Leffe Blonde while I had a Godiva Chocolate liqueor iced coffee that was quite tasty! We then made our way over to Singapore (no Singapore Sling...hard lesson learned 2010 F&W fest!) to sample the beef rendang which was awesome and DH grabbed a Tiger beer that he said was pretty tasty...I didn't think it was too tasty. We then stopped at the Florida local stand and tried the white corn with pork rillette with the shrimp ceviche. The shrimp ceviche was probably the worst I've ever had anywhere. I hated to waste but there was NO WAY the pit was going to take anymore of that. One of the favorite wines (which found a few bottles now in my fridge at home) The Hurriance Class 5 sangria! Awesome. DH tried the beer sampler and was also impressed. Round 2 finished off with Japan and some chicken sushi and beef pan which were both pretty good. Another festival favorite was the strawberry mist sake! The pit was now full and fuzzy and it was nearing 3 pm so we decided to head home to get ready for the party!
We had decided to dress up for real and found a really good deal on pirate costumes. We went home to SSR to freshen up, shower and get our pirate on! Since we had planned and budgeted, we were able to attend MNSSHP 3 nights. We decided that tonight was going to be primarily characters and trick or treating! We made it back to MK around 5pm and we had a 5:30pm ressie at the Plaza. Good thing too because the pit was still full from taking on the F&W fest. I grabbed a strawberry chicken salad and DH had his standard burger and fries and we were both pleased with the food and the service. This was our first time trying the plaza and we really enjoyed it. We shared an ice cream sundae for dessert. Happily fed, we made it over Splash and the 7 dwarves's line by 6:20pm and were happy that we pretty close to the front. Surprisingly, the dwarves came out at 5 til 7 and we had met them and were ready to move on by 7:15.

After the dwarves we met up with the good Captain Jack Sparrow. We did have a bit of a wait for him, but it was well worth the wait!

After meeting the good Captain, the pit needed a snack so we stopped for Dole whips on the way to meet up with the princesses. We were fortunate and just beat the parade and the headless horseman so we met up with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider...I mean Eugene, SNow and her prince and Cinderella and Charming. Suffice it to say the princesses were not pleased to see pirates waiting for them! Rapunzel actually asked if she needed to get her frying pan! After assuring them that we were no nice pirates, we were granted some photo ops!

Mickey and Minnie were back from the parade so we stopped in to visit with them. Mickey was also a pirate and he and DH decided to have a pretend sword fight. Minnie and I just closed our eyes!

Photo0220FourBySix.jpg
[/IMG]

We stopped on Main St for a quick pic, then into the Confectionary for some Mickey Crispy treats...pit needed a snack!

Photo0222FourBySix-1.jpg
[/IMG]

We then did some trick or treating on our way to Fantasyland. Love the new camera...took this in Tomorrowland!

217-1.jpg
[/IMG]

We were too late for Pooh and friends so we did some more trick or treating, caught up with Donald and Daisy then went over to HM to ride and grab a few of the special photopass pics with the hitchhiking ghosts and the driver. We also did a bit more trick or treating!

Since we were close and there was no wait, we went in to visit the 999 happy haunts...after all, it is Halloween! We then did a bit more trick or treating and made it back in time to meet Pooh and pals!

Photo0269FourBySix-1.jpg
[/IMG]

The pit was now needing a feeding and despite having been snacking on our halloween candy, it was time for some of that awesome popcorn. Snacks had we decided to start making our way toward the front of the park where we happened to catch the last couple of minutes of the Villains show and were fortunate enough to meet Cruella, Capt. Hook and the Queen of Hearts!

It was now nearing midnight so we decided to head to the bus. It took a few minutes, I think everyone staying at SSR had MNSSHP tickets tonight (and the next 2 nights that we went!) so we arrived home around 12:30am and by the time we cleaned up the pirate grime and went to bed it was after 1am.
All in all....a great day for the pit with a respectable snack count!
Up next...we're actually not going to MK or Epcot tomorrow and it's the 7month window for DH's Christmas suprise....SWW trip! Can I pull it off without his knowing?

That sounds like an excellent idea. I'll anxiously be awaiting the results. If you can't get in touch with Abby, my aunt, the scientist, might be able to help us out with the analysis. Maybe the mystery will be solved. I'm not giving up on finding night vision goggles though just in case.

Party rock!!! :cool1:

You won't need the night vision goggles to catch DH the Squatch....although I won't tell your mom that....night vision goggles are sweet and she should still buy them for you!

Thanks for the TR's. We like the Food & Wine but are still hungry after all the samples!!! It's like eating finger sandwiches, you never fill up...LOL

I'm glad to know you are on my side! :thumbsup2

Always on the side of reason! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the TR's. We like the Food & Wine but are still hungry after all the samples!!! It's like eating finger sandwiches, you never fill up...LOL

:welcome: Thanks for saying hello! I actually found the serving sizes to be fairly sizable this year as compared to our 2010 trip. 7-8 countries would fill us up pretty well.....of course the adult beverage samples may have been contributing to that also....:rolleyes1

What a wonderful TR! Your pictures are outstanding! :goodvibes

:welcome: Thank you very much!

It's Monday and hard to believe that it's day 4 already. Since we'd had a late night Sunday, we decided that today would be a late start day. DH actually put his foot down this trip and said no alarm clock unless it's for a pre-approved reason. We actually wound up with more late nights than early mornings this trip. We woke up a little after 9am and got moving. I desperately needed DH to grab the paper and head to his "office" so I could call MS. Finally (seemed like forever) he went so I went out to the balcony (thankfully our swimsuits were out there drying) to call MS to get us moved to BCV for DH's surprise SWW. :offtopic: thankfully this is his Christmas present....I don't know how I've managed not to let it slip so far...I don't know how people do it! Pixie dust on my side, got the studio at BCV for the trip then disaster struck. MS computer froze and DH flushed! I was able to convice DH that it was some strange courtesy call from MS and he was satisfied with that answer. Thankfully the CM from MS was able to get back online quickly and finish the transaction! We headed up to AP around 10am for breakfast...now I know why we eat early! Good grief! Mickey waffles safely deposited into the pit and it was off the Springs to catch a bus to DHS. Yes it's true....we were not going to MK or Epcot today! :rotfl2:
We arrived at DHS close to 11am with a 60+ minute wait and no FP for TSM so no TSM for me today:worried: We dropped gear in our locker and stopped for some pics.

We ran over to grab FP for RNR and thankfully TOT had only a 15 minute wait so we rode TOT then, of course, stopped for pics. Love the new magic shot!

[/IMG]

Photo0306FourBySix-1.jpg
[/IMG]

We realized it was time to ride RNR so we picked up another FP for later and rode RNR. After taking a spin to see Aerosmith, we stopped at Scoops for a quick snack....cookies and cream for me and butter pecan for DH. DH was now itching to go ride ST2 so we crossed the park, stopping for some waters at the locker. Today was another scorching hot day! A FP was near ST2 so we stopped for pics for DH.

Photo0297FourBySix-1.jpg
[/IMG]

Photo0293FourBySix.jpg

We made our first ride to Hoth and Tattoine then stopped in the gift shop so that we could make more droids at the droid factory. We were going to make one with Mickey ears in June, however, that piece was sold out at the time. Of course DH convinced me that we should make 2 droids because it was more "cost effective"...:rolleyes1 Ok DH....whatever you say! DH also did some shopping for himself. Packages secured and sent back to the resort, we rode again since the line wasn't too bad. We did get a different scene this time and DH is bummed because he still hasn't been the rebel spy. We still had a little time before our FP for RNR so we stopped by to see the Muppets. Yes, it's a cheese fest, but I grew up with the Muppets and loved the new movie...so...::yes::

Photo0318FourBySix.jpg
[/IMG]

Since CS at DHS is lousy on a good day, we stopped for popcorn on the way back to RNR. We rode both RNR and TOT again as thankfully TOT line was humane! By now it was getting close to our 4:40pm ADR at 50's Prime Time so we stopped by the locker to freshen up and headed to dinner. Our server was fabulous and I was put in the corner because she caught me with elbows on the table twice. Woops! Our meal was excellent as always and our server even made me a special "chocolate soda" because that's what I always order and it wasn't on the menu this time! :worship: Even though we have TIW, we left an extra gratuity for our server today again because she was so good. We also found out that our awesome server from June had her baby girl the week before. 50's Prime Time has become one of our "must dos" every trip. After dinner, we went over the animation art store. Our Dniece is very into art and drawing. She didn't listen to her wise aunt and uncle and spent all of her $$ in June and did not have enough to buy a sketch. She's lucky....we were going back and we bought her a sketch for Christmas. The artist was actually at the table and when she overheard DH and I talking that we weren't able to find the sketch we wanted, she handed us the book. Not only did she do a custom sketch, she personalized it as well. Our DN will be very excited!! DH needed a "pit stop" so we stopped. DH had an epiphany during his pit stop and decided that we needed a sketch also so we went back in and the artist did a custom Santa Mickey sketch for us too! Purchases secured and shipping to SSR arrangements made, we stopped for a quick pic on the way to the locker then it was time to stake out seats for F!

Photo0320FourBySix.jpg
[/IMG]

We arrived and made our way to "our seats"....Mickey section approximately 8-10 rows from the railing. Now it's time to eat! A bucket of carmel corn and a "dessert box" with fruit, cheese and a little adult beverage and we were good to go! Have to say that we do enjoy the pre-show entertainment. Much better than doing the wave for an hour! F! did not disappoint and soon we were fighting our way out of the show. We stopped for a couple of pics on our way out.

This was from FP,

We headed out to grab a bus and thankfully, arrived at SSR shortly as a bus was pulling in as we arrived at the stop. Kind of a strange day for us....really late start, no TSM and spending all day at DHS, which we don't usually do anymore. It was a slower day for us and that is ok! Since it wasn't terribly late and despite my terrible, horrible blister (and I NEVER get blisters!) we went down to hang out at the hot tub for a little while. Love the CP hot tub after dark! always a good time!! We went back up and took showers then went to bed. Up next....the halfway point of our trip...AK, MNSSHP take 2 and our first visit to the Wave!
