November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL MY DIS FRIENDS
We leave tomorrow, its finally here.

THe weather has nicely warmed back up and is sunny and in the mid to upper 70's now. It feels beautiful outside now.

Tuesday we had a perfect day at Animal Kingdom. We rode everything at least once except the train and saw all the shows except the Flights of Wonder. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time.

Yesterday we had a Magical day at the Magic Kingdom. I love New Fantasyland. It is just beautiful. It was agreat day capped off by dinner at the Castle. We enjoyed pretty much everything in Fantasyland, new Fantasyland (except for Be Our Guest), Storybook CIrcus and Tomorrowland. Tomorrow we go back and plan to focus on Frontierland and Adventureland. We couldn't have asked for a better day at the Magic Kindom yesterday.

Happy Thanksgiving all. Today we are taking a quiet day at the resort. We plan to go look at some Christmas Decorations later and will have dinner tonight at Chef Mickey's.

We're 4 days too! Sorry about the kids, but glad you got it checked out, hopefully we beat all these nasty germs ASAP.....

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to do the "refrigeration shuffle" too.

Now down to one day if my calculations are correct. Have a fantastic trip!

Today we are 6 days out. Right about now next week we should be leaving MK and going back to POP to get ready for our dd's birthday dinner at California Grill. Does anyone else play 'What will I be doing at this time on my trip next week'?

I do! I was just doing that yesterday. Then when we get back I play it the other way...this time last week we were...much sadder version!

Just a quick update as promised, we ate at BOG this evening and I loved it! The theming is beautiful and I really enjoyed the food. Me & DH both had the French onion soup to start which was gorgeous. DH had the steak and I had the Cornish Hen followed by the lemon meringue cup cake. Both kids had grilled chicken breast which they did with 'pommes frites' as DD couldn't have the pasta. Beast did a walk through the restaurant twice while we were there then we could go to the study for a picture. So glad we managed to eat there it really made our last night, we fly home tomorrow

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It was so nice to have 2 of our 4 kids here along with their families. So much laughter and fun! Our Son and his wife will be here until Sunday and our daughter and her family are leaving tomorrow morning.

The house has been decorated for Christmas since last Saturday. The Grandkids really enjoyed having them out. DH is putting the tree up on Sunday and I will probably decorate it Monday. I've gotten all the Christmas cards made and will address them on Sunday while watching Christmas movies. I will pack in earnest on Monday or Tuesday. I have a dental appt, an eye exam and a massage before we go. We're traveling 2 1/2 hours to stay overnight near the airport we're flying out of. We can leave our car there and they'll shuttle us to the airport so we don't have to pay for parking. The funny thing is, we live 5 minutes from an airport, but the flights were $300 cheaper going to Columbus and they are both non-stop, so well worth it! I'm getting so excited!!

ETA: I forgot to comment about the kids decorating the tree with lots of ornaments on one branch. That is so adorable. Our DGD, who wasn't quite 3, did the same thing. I left them just as she placed them and after she went back home to Virginia, I would look at those lower branches and just smile. She kissed each ornament before placing them on the tree too, which was precious. I have to say when mine were little I did as your mother did and rearranged after they went to bed. Now I wish I had left them just as they placed them! Funny how we mellow as we age.

Our last day in Disney world! =(

My son had an amazing time. Everyone is so nice here. When we arrived to check-in, they had greeted him with a stuffed donald duck, autograph book, and a big pen for his birthday. That itself had made his day. As for the weather, it did start out horrible. We all ended up getting sick! But now its warming up. Overall, everything was great. We'll be back again once this baby in my tummy turns 2! =)

It's our last day today as well. It's been a great week and we've had a wonderful time. We are going to do MK and DTD one last time. No rushing to get to the park today. Just taking it easy.

The only must do today is getting our photo pass straightened out. We have someone else's pictures on our photo pass and we are missing some of ours. I'm sure it can be fixed, but it's annoying.

The only poor weather day so far has been Monday, so that has been nice. We may come back at this time of year again. Definitely have been inspired for future trips.

Ill do a big wrap up when I get back.

We did have some disappointment last minute - my brother, SIL and DN2 will not be able to join us after all. SIL is 18 weeks pregnant and just found out she has complete placenta previa, so no flying till the baby is born. My kids were SO disappointed. What they don't know yet is that my DH's sister and my DN9 are joining us on Wednesday for 4 nights - it's been planned all along, but we're surprising both sets of kids with that one, so still get to see family this magical trip!

Flight's at 7:30 tomorrow am, Disney here we come!!

We did have some disappointment last minute - my brother, SIL and DN2 will not be able to join us after all. SIL is 18 weeks pregnant and just found out she has complete placenta previa, so no flying till the baby is born. My kids were SO disappointed. What they don't know yet is that my DH's sister and my DN9 are joining us on Wednesday for 4 nights - it's been planned all along, but we're surprising both sets of kids with that one, so still get to see family this magical trip!

We leave at 7:40 in the morning!!! Can't wait!!

Quick catch up from our trip since we've been busy!

Sorry to hear so many have had sick kiddos. I know that is never part of the plan.

Our first day at MK was pretty awesome. DD2 got done up at BBB as Belle and was completely adorable. After that we had lunch at BOG, which was awesome. Then we did Enchanted Tales with Belle and I was one of the knights, DD1 was the Beast and DD2 was silverware. DD2 stole the show when she got to meet Belle. Not a dry eye in the house during that it was so cute.

We have a lot more to do since we pretty much only did Fantasyland while we were there. Going back tomorrow for more.

Tuesday we did DHS. DD1 got to ride ToT with me twice and she loved it. We did TSM, met P & F and took a gazillion pictures of the Osborne lights.

Today was AK. Took it slow and spent most of the day in Dinoland but DD1 did get to ride Everest twice with me.

We had a mishap at DHS. I got to the car to leave and my key fob to start my car had fallen off of my keyring! I panicked but thankfully someone had turned it into Guest Services and I was able to get back to the resort without a problem. Scary stuff though.

All in all it's a good time. The kids are fighting over the stroller of all things. DD1 (7) wants to ride in it and DD2 (4) only wants to ride in it so DD1 doesn't. Other than that its going well.

Off to O'Hana breakfast then MK again!

So glad the key fob was turned in. My dd2(8yrs old) wants to know why we don't have a tripple stroller so she can ride as well! I'm sure if they 2yr old wants to walk a bit she will jump right into her spot. Glad your all having a wonderful time.

So cute how she kissed each ornament and then put it on the tree. Sounds like you are going to get a lot done before you leave. Have fun with your family.

Hey! We just went to Chef Mickeys on Wednesday and my kids LOVED it!!! My one year old cracked up every time they came by us and my 4 yo daughter loved getting their autographs!! I thought It was worth every penny!! It's hard to say how much time. We also are off property and with traffic was about 25 minutes +\-. Enjoy!!!!!!

We keep saying to her that we wish we could go inside the castle! Lol she's going to be so surprised! Wednesday we are having dinner with friends at Cali Grill. Today my DD had to go to he doctor now. She got DS's tonsillitis!! Now she's on antibiotic. Hopefully she'll be better for Monday!
