How has the $399 Premium Annual Pass Deal Changed Your Plans?

My family was planning a 5 night, 2 bedroom BCV trip this February as our only trip this year. But now thanks to this special we will be visiting Disney at least three times within one year. We will be staying in a 1 bedroom OKW unit this February instead of BCV to stretch our points and then plan on staying in a 1 bedroom BCV this summer. Then the following January I get a one month sabbatical and plan on spending and extended amount of time in preferably a BWV Value Studio. It will be a good place to read and relax. I can have quiet study time when I want and have plenty of place to walk and explore. I will spend some time alone and the family will come and stay with me here and there. Wow! I am pumped!!

This deal has really enhanced my plans!!!

Well we've added a trip next October that we had not planned on taking. We had planned on going to HHI twice next year, but now with the addition of using points for DD's honeymoon next May and us going again in October to use the PAP a second time we will probably not go to HHI next year.

We had a DL trip planned for January. I had a 1br booked at GCV. With the AP offer, we switched to WDW in January. Also, I will be at a convention in February so my husband and daughter will join me that weekend, then we'll do another trip in the fall for F&W. DL & Cars Land will have to wait until 2014.

It's just a small thing, I was always going in Spring, first with friends & then DH was joining me for a few days. I love F&G and I enjoy swimming and would normally have stayed at BCV, but with the water parks included in our passes now, we're staying at VWL.

I've booked BWV standard for me & my friends & was going to change to BCV for that, too, but changed my mind. So, the PAP saved me some points.

Bobbi:goodvibes

We were already planning to buy APs next month, so the only change is that they will cost us a little less money, and we will definitely try our best to make it to Disney Quest once or twice. Would love to try a water park, but it will probably not be warm enough during our trips.

We're not making more trips but we did change our itinerary for our trip this past October to include a half day at Typhoon Lagoon and a few hours at Disney Quest. It had been a while since we last went to Typhoon Lagoon and we had never been to Disney Quest so I'm glad we were able to fit both of those in during our stay. Thank you DVC for offering members these discounted PAPs!

We bought PAPs for our October trip and are saving the passes we'd already bought for another future trip. We'd already decided to go for Spring Break, but we'll likely add another day or 2, and be sure to hit a water park. My husband even mentioned we might go for a really long weekend this summer... Then I added a girls' trip in January, and have a conference in Orlando in late April... Yeah, it changed our travel plans. :D

We also changed from DLR to WDW. We were going to DLR in February and in August for our son's first birthday. With the PAP and airfare, we decided to go to WDW instead. We'll bank our VGC points and go to Carsland in 2014. We are now going to WDW in January and September. We figure we might use the DQ tickets in January, but for sure we can use the water parks in September. We'll use the 20% shopping discount on both trips! :rotfl:

We usually take one or two trips a year but now we are planning to save our points for one year and double up in 13-14. We will buy the pass in December this year and then return in December of 2013. Then we hope to go again in march, October and again in December of 2014. Since we love our DVC, well save our points for a year so we can stay in studios or one bedrooms for all 4 trips. This is a huge change for us and were pretty excited.

I'm actually considering a trip next December because of it. We just returned from a trip a week ago, and our next planned trip isn't going to be until Summer 2014. A nice long 10 day relaxing trip. Now I'm thinking instead of doing a 3 day weekend next December to hit the MVMCP one more time while my kids are young (they will 4 & 8 next year) and just shave a couple days off the summer trip. The difference in points, I could get a 3 nights in a studio in Dec, and shave only 2 days off the 1 bedroom in the summer. Maybe even get a studio for the first night so it only trims a day. Not bad to cash in 1 day in the summer for 3 in December.

We had bought APs already.. but got the free water park tickets.. We will be going to both Disney WP, (1 day less during Spring break from MK and 1 day less at AOA/IA) I also added 4 nights on to my Sept trip and did 8 nights instead of 4, to enjoy both WPs a 2nd time. 5 days was just not enough for 2 MK and 2 EP days adding in the free WP and 1 travel day. Since the DD8 will be missing 3 school days for just adding the 1 WP day.. ..I am just letting her skip the whole week and used 2 weekends. Never did that b4 a week from school. .. but will b this yr. :) TY free WP tickets.

I wasn't going to get annual passes, but this pushed me over the edge. On top of that, although I would have come 2x this year, I am now going to stay longer.

Also, if it works out, there is a chance that I will sneak down for a few days over the Christmas break. Although I would have been in Orlando anyway, I wouldn't have gone to Disney. So, at the very least, they will get a lot more meals out of me, as well as some souvenir purchases.

I had already planned on buying annual passes for my 3 trips starting January 2013 and ending in January 2014. (Jan 2013, f&w festival and early Jan 2014.)

So pap just shaved a few bucks of the price. I've used up my supply of 10 day no expiry park hoppers, except for a few odd days but I still have multiple tickets with 'plusses' on them. Last price paid for those by me was in the $400's so almost $700 was not sitting well. We usually were doing park days 2,3 or 4 days a trip and managing our must see's around that schedule.

We also missed almost a year and a half of Disney trips due to schedule conflicts and illness, etc.

That was a huge change for us as we usually managed at least 2 trips per year.

So now we will probably do more park time over more days as opposed to a few days of parks and more exploring the local area - trips to Tampa, Cocoa, etc.

We weren't planning on going to WDW at all in 2013 as we have already booked HHI. We are seriously considering buying the passes for a trip in October 2013. We will probably have to pay cash for that trip since we already used our points. That is going to be a shock! :lmao: We had already planned to go sometime in 2014 so the PAP do really make financial sense. I will probably try to sneak in a long weekend trip somewhere in there much to my DH's dismay.

Disney's business team is pretty smart. They just got two more trips out of me!

was only going once in 2013 - now at least 3 times and one time in the summer (I hate summers) to be able to use the water parks late.

It hasn't changed anything. We still only benefit from the non expiring passes. We like relaxing and enjoying the resort while vacationing.

The only thing it has changed for us is that instead of the regular AP, we will be getting a PAP this time.:thumbsup2

We were only planning a family vacation in 2 treehouse villas in February. I was looking at buying only a 3 day non-parkhopper to save money but the Premium Annual Pass isn't that much more and my son will turn 3 later in the summer, so I am now planning a early-mid summer trip to use my AP again and to get my son in for "free" one last time. It will be my first time with an AP, so I am excited (plus getting to go again in the summer). Of course, the 2 villas are taking up all our points so we'll have to find other accomodations and another set of airfare, so in the end, its costing us a lot more - ahh the logic of a Disney fan.
