Kindakrazy and bskelly you guys are standing next to that devil on my shoulder that convinces me to do crazy stuff like this, and signing along! Worst is those three races will qualify you as a half fanatic, Bethany. That and a c2c medal is mighty tempting. But gotta save something for next year, right?

For those of you who are "thinking" about Tink....DO IT !!! Last year it was SO much fun and just think Coast to Coast. Who doesn't want a little more bling.

It's also fun to run in wings. Personally, I think you run faster.

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but with 253 pages it's a lot to sift through!

The rundisney website says the expo is at Coronado Springs, BUT the confirmation email from Active says it is at ESPN WWoS.

Anyone know which one is true?

Thanks;)

I can't think of anything else that teaser from runDisney could be other than opening up some more spaces...though I didn't even think earlier about what a bummer that would be to those who signed up through a travel company or charity after individual spaces had sold out. For those still on the fence...I say to go for it if that's what they end up doing. I really really enjoyed the course...I liked it a lot better than the DL half.

I'm off to WDW in the morning! And I have to pat myself on the back for a moment...I knew there was no way I was going to get up Saturday am at the Caribbean Beach and run the loop around the lagoon 8 times, so I did it today...just got back in from my 8 miler...of course it warmed up this week and it was a sunny 82 when I started. That wasn't so much fun, but I feel better knowing I did it. I need to try to at least get in 4 or 5 miles while I'm there, but I'm not gonna stress if I don't. The bf has decided to get in his 16 miler tomorrow am before we leave...which means a 3:45 am wake up for him tomorrow! He's crazy...but I bet he'll have a great nap on the plane :). I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Let's all be sure to indulge a little bit...I think we deserve it!

Have a great trip !!!! Good job on your run before WDW. We're staying at the CBR for Princess weekend.

I love CBR! We just stayed there for the Wine and Dine half weekend. Transportation to all of the race related events was seamless. Seems like every time we walked up to a stop, the bus we needed was pulling up. :goodvibes

Got my green sparkleskirt in the mail today. I ordered the fairy green because it's closest to the Shot@Life colors since I raising money for that org. It doesn't look as cool as I wanted it to. :worried: But, with my girls' green fairy wings it looks great!!! :rotfl:

But now I'm all dressed up for the Tink half and not the way I wanted to look for the Princess half. And now you princesses are telling me there are potentially spots opening up for the tink? One thing leads to another :rolleyes2

Maybe I'll see if my daughter wants to be a fairy with me for the 5K, but I really was looking forward to being Pochahontas to her Meeko. Decisions, decisions...

I'm back... Almost... For the first time in almost two month I did a run yesterday without any pain in my hip. It was only a 2,4 mile trip and I went veryyyy slow, but I did it and it didn't hurt!!! :cool1::cool1:
I know it well take time before I can start a proper training, but at least I can do smaller runs now. PHM here I come!!!

If anyone has an extra race retreat ticket they aren't using, I'd love to purchase it from you! Just made the decision to run the race today so a little behind the eight ball on this one! THANKS :)

Hey all. I am looking for one for myself, too. This is my first 1/2 at the age of 50!!!!

I did my first race ever today. A 5k. I finished at 36:51 and GPS said 3.15 so my pace was 11:45. It's my longest run in months!

Hope all the other racers had fun!

Hey princesses! Happy thanksgiving!!!

Finished my first 10k today. 1:08:20. I wanted to stay under an hour 10. I can't believe I did it!!! It also was about 75 out. It felt like 90! I bet if it were cooler I could've shaved a few mins ;) regardless I am so happy!

Hope all of you who participated in a turkey trot did wonderfully! Now go reward yourselves with turkey and pie. We deserve it! Xo

I did a turkey trot this morning. PR of 37:45. I was so trying to get under 38. There were over 600 runners. Absolutely crazy and wonderful all at the same time. Btw. DD finished 30:30.

Congratulations to today's racers! Look at all those PRs smashed and those goals achieved. Way to go princesses!

:thumbsup2

It's really inspiring to hear Turkey Trotting princesses getting your times and beating your PR's. great job!

Congratulations to all!! What a great, healthy way to start out the holidays!

Ran a virtual 5k turkey trot this morning before heading over to the family's. My legs went to lead around mile 1.5 and it was all I had to make it through. And what do you know? I PR'd with 37 minutes exactly!!

I think it must've been soo hard because I didnt give myself much time to warm up (so nervous about having enough time to finish and get out on the road). But it all worked out and now I can't wait for them to bring out that turkey!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

I did my 10k Turkey Trot this morning in 1:07. Well, that's my official time, my real time was around 1:05, but they only had a timing mat at the finish, not the start, so starting at the back of the pack (about 500 people I think) hurt my time a little.

I'm actually super proud of myself for starting out slow and sticking with my plan to run 5 minutes, walk 1 minute until the last mile which I ran the whole way in. I my last two miles were my fastest miles, which was awesome. I really kept the mantra "run your own race" in my head, not trying to worry about being in front of or behind anyone else. It was great and I felt really strong at the finish, like I could have kept going. Yay!!! :cool1:

And I celebrated with a perfect meal and two kinds of pie (peanut butter and apple!). ::yes::

It was my first run with my Garmin Forerunner 10 and I LOVED it! It has a great run/walk interval timer and the distance matched the mile markers perfectly even though a lot of the race was through trails in the woods.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!
