We were quoted 450 by first phone call for a Mad Hatter cake but after emailing the chef the quote is now 125 so if this was the phone call go ahead and email and chef to get the correct price for the cake. :) This is the example of the cake I sent the emailing the chef at Boardwalk. We ordered a 10 inch tapered to a 7 inch chocolate with chocolate mousse filling!

this is from oct 2011 from beach club bakery(?) we had it delivered to coral reef
it was the smallest i could get if i remember right it's a 6 inch round
it was simple chocolate cake chocolate filling, fondant all around
I talked with the bakery 1 time, emailed 2 or 3 web photos so they had an idea of what I was looking for, $120ish , and it was wonderful , we were very happy with how it turned out

If I wanted Chef Brian--do i call or email? I know this has already been answered, but can't find. Thanks

I called and left a message at the Contemporary Dining number, they called back and would give you his email :)

For our daughter's 3rd birthday we had a message in a bottle with a note from 'the pirates' to invite her to pirate-y adventures in Disney World to celebrate. She's really into pirates. We arrived at 2am and had this cake delivered to our room for breakfast at 7am. It went over huge!

It was a 6", chocolate buttercream with chocolate buttercream and fresh strawberry filling. Delivered with fees it came to just under $100. The detail was fantastic and it tasted even better. It's a lot of cake for our small fam of three. We ate it the entire time we were there and still had about 50% left. Note the little skulls on the top made out of icing! Loved it! The map was my daughter's favorite and she felt it was a special message from the pirates on where we were to visit next.

My husband and I ran the Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon on my birthday a few weeks ago. I had a birthday cake made by the contemporary resort to refelct our achievement.

It was so Yummy. I was a white cake with a stawberry and bavarian cream filling with buttercream frosting. All for only $75!!! Best part is I got to spend my birthday with my godmother and her family.

Can someone please guide me in the right direction.

DH and I are celebrating our 10th Anniversary at CRT on Valentines Day :goodvibes

I would LOVE to order the Cinderella Slipper Desert, AND a mini wedding cake.

Who should I get in contact with, to get this accomplished.
TIA

You can get the slipper when you call CRT. Just ask to add it to your reservation, you can also add sprawling cider. It will come in champagne glasses you get to take home. DH and I did it for our 3rd anniversary.

Has anyone had any luck with having a cake delivered to Boardwalk? Thinking about dong this instead of dining out. IF so, who would I contact?

What size cake would you recommend for 4 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 preteen (who really doesn't like cake) and 2 kids?

I would call Private Dining at the Contemporary to place this order, since mini cakes are not among the standard options offered by CRT's own hotline. See Post # 2. :thumbsup2

We had a delicious mini cake made by BoardWalk Bakery earlier this year. See post #2 for contact info. Disney may try to talk you into a bigger cake, but I think you could get away with an 8-inch for that size group, unless you like dictionary-sized slabs of cake! :teeth:

So we should call CRT directly to have it added? CRT is going to be my birthday celebration and dh doesn't know it but he's surprising me with this dessert. :rotfl2: So.....what's this sprawling cider all about? What is the charge?

It's been a couple years but I called CRT directly and asked for them. I think they were $15 each, but you can ask when you call. You can also ask for a message in chocolate around the plate. I had 3 magical years of Happily ever after.

Hi - Just an opinion question - I am looking at getting a 6" or 8" cake from the Boardwalk Bakery to be delivered to the Coral Reef. I want to get it customized with a reef/aquarium theme. Now, it is for 6 adults and two kids(who don't eat anything ever). What size should we go with?

I got a 6" for 5 adults and 3 kids and had a lot leftover. We served very large pieces as well.

Thanks! :) This helps a lot. I don't want to over order and have cake to deal with.... Plus there is so many other in goodies in WDW we plan on trying ;)

We ordered an 8in cake from YC delivered to the Coral Reef. My kids are all scuba divers and the highlight of our trips are diving at The Seas. I asked for a scuba/coral reef cake and got a masterpiece. I will try to get my computer to work and get a pic on here. It was amazing! Sharks, scuba equipment, blue marbled fondant, tropical fish, tropical reef and so much more.

An 8in was huge and too much cake for four of us, but we were able to take it back to the room and snack on it for a couple of days.
