We live pretty close to WDW, have passes, will probably go a time or so to the parks over the next month or so. Of course the resorts themselves are amazing this time of year, so I'm thinking about a day just to resort hop, see all them all dressed up in their holiday best.
We've stayed at WL during the holidays, and know how beautiful it is.
I've heard about the gingerbread house at GF, so those will both probably be on the list. Which other places do you all suggest?
I like to visit the WDW resorts to see all of the Christmas decorations, too.
I really like the resorts with the very large lobby Christmas trees. And of the foru resorts that fit that description, you are staying at my favorite, the Wilderness Lodge with the large lobby Christmas tree. But I also love the log walls and columns and fireplaces and nice seating and everything about the resort in decorated for Christmas. Plus, the Wilderness Lodge Villa has a nice Christmas tree and nice seating area next to the fireplaces.
The other three are the Dolphin resort and the Grand Floridian Resort and the Animal Kingdom Lodge and just use the sidewalk to visit the sister resort to see some decorations.
While I am at the WL, I have loved the evening strolls through the Fort Wilderness CampGround to see all of the campers lighted decorations, too.
And when at Epcot area, I walk or use the boat launch to visit the Boardwalk Resort, the Beach and Yacht Club Resorts and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.
While at DownTown Disney in the evening, I love visiting the Disney Christmas store and all the decorations at all of DTD, and West Side. Then I take the DTD pontoon boat taxi to visit Saratoga Springs Resort or Old Key West or Port Orleans Riverside and stroll along the sidewalks to Port Orleans French Quarter.
This year, I want to visit the new Animator's Resort and cross the bridge over the lake and see the Pop Century Resort.
I might even visit the AllStar Sports, Movies and Music Resorts.
During the day, I like to visit the Caribbean Resort and Coronado Resort and also stroll around their lakes.
And when I visit Polynesian Resort, I time it to watch the
MVMCP Wishes on the beach and the Lake Electric Light Parade and get a Dole Whip from their fast food area. If you are a DVC member, watching from atop the Bay Lake Tower is pretty cool, too.
Did I leave anything out?
