Cool. We did not regret it in fact we bought more points since! Have you tried Hawaii yet? We would love too. We did a cruise around the Hawaiian islands a few years back when my health was better and were blown away by it.

We were on the first Hawaian cruise on the Wonder in April/May. It was fabulous. I would not want to stay at Alunai. Besides being to many points per night, it is way to far from everything. We were able to take a free tour thanks to DVC, but after seeing how far it is from Honolulu and Waikiki, we are not interested. It is a beautiful resort though. I will give it that.

Thats really helpful actually thanks. Dont like the idea of being so remote! We havent stated at the disney dvc resort in California. Is that nice?

We decided to keep this cruise but our booking won't be official until Dec 9. So excited for 2 member cruises in one year.

Just want to fill everyone in. I currently in a fight with DCL to price match my cruise. Why should I have to pay extra for the same room cause they displaced me?

Oh really? I think the Wildreness Lodge is nice. Not stayed there though but we liked it when we went nosing at other resorts.

Sorry. It's nice, just because I think it's a rip off of Wilderness Lodge, I think it lacks imagination. That's all. Sorry. Just upset right now, cause DCL will not do the right thing and I really do not want to go up the corporate ladder, but I think I am going to have to.

Thanks for the support I was kicked off the cruise. I have the same cat. booked. It should not cost me one more dime. I would understand if I wanted a better room.

Good luck! The person I spoke to at dcl said to avoid this in future dont book a cruise in september....how about dvc organise themselves instead and charter cruises before they go public? How were we suppose to know! Also what if next year they decide on october and didnt they randomly have one in Jan next year? Like its our responsibility to guess!

Just a update. I now have been indirectly threatened by DCL. What I mean is they have asked if I would like them to cancel my reservation as they will not budge on price.

That's why I already email the executive office again with a copy of the email they sent. I will post it here as well to show the hard stance they are taking but I am not going to back down.

Dear Alan,

Thank you for your e-mail.

I regret your discontent with the final answer you received about us not
being able to price match. I understand your disappointment, and I
sincerely regret any inconvenience the cruise alteration has caused.

Since you said that you will not pay extra, and we are not able to
negotiate the price to anything lower than the prevailing rates, I will
be more than happy to cancel your reservation now. As long as you cancel
your reservation prior to July 23, 2013, you will not incurr any
cancellation penalties.

Please let us know if you wish to proceed with the cancellation of your
reservation
