My thoughts on tonight's dances -

Shawn: I think out of who's left, she probably is the best. I thought Carrie Ann was smoking crack with her comment about her tango. Her tango was EXCELLENT - well performed and technically flawless. Not as many lifts and "tricks" as Melissa's, but I tend to like the "pure" dancing better. Derek's choreography is the best of all the pros, I think.

Melissa: I think she's 2nd runner up or winner (or should be). Her tango was awesome - she is a great dancer.

Apolo: He's a good dancer, but I haven't been totally enthralled by him this season. I think part of the problem is that he and Karina don't really have any chemistry together. She's not one of my favorite pros, anyway. I thought Apolo probably deserved a little better than the judges gave him tonight (especially comparing Emmitt!). But I have thought all season that Apolo was always a few steps behind Gilles, both in technical dance ability and performance.

Kelly: Kind of over the her and Val laying all over each other thing! I'm not sure she would still be here if they didn't have that going for them. She's not on the same level as the other 2 women left.

Emmitt: WHY is he still here?!?! All I could think about was the fact that HE's here, and Gilles isn't. The lindy hop especially was a mess - sloppy footwork and missed steps all over the place. His level of dancing is WAY below the other competitors, and has been all season. I do not get why the judges keep scoring him so highly!

In the end, I was a Gilles fan and I still think he should have gone to the finals.

Yes! A laugh for each of his kids when they see the hot pink and lime green satin sleevless shirts their dad is going to make them wear.

I wonder if they will be wearing those bicep garters that Emmitt wore tonight, instead of sleeves. he wore them in both dances. So technically he wasn't 'sleeveless' or at least bare armed in his first dance tonight.

Did Val just kiss Kelly passionately at the end of their rumba????????????????

He's probably working on getting a love scene with Kelly on GH. From what I read, currently, he only has a scene where he briefly meets her at her work. Not too exciting. That's barely better than a walk on role.

I agree with all you said, except about Shawn. I was hoping for Gilles in the finals too.

I thought that Emmitt's dance was nice but not on the same level of all the rest, including Kelly. Tonight was probably her best night but she shouldn't be in the finals although I would rather see her then Emmitt or Apolo.

All my votes are going to Melissa, she probably has the smallest fan base. Kelly is a soap star so she could get into the finals, Emmitt is a football star and I think that's what won it for him before but he sure doesn't deserve to still be there.

It is so hard to know who will be there but if Emmitt makes the finals then we will all have to pick one of the other two and vote, vote, vote so that Emmitt doesn't win.

This is the first time I voted tonight. I gotta keep Melissa/Tony & Shawn/Derek in!

What do you think is the age difference between Kelly & Val? (I went back and googled it. Val is 26 & Kelly is 36. I thought she was older than that!) I just get the feeling he is more "taken" with her than she with him. Does anyone else feel that way? I think once the show is over she will be done with him. I think it's time for them to go, along with Emmitt/Cheryl.

My top favorite is Melissa, with Shawn a close 2nd. Although Shawn's voice is like nails on a chalkboard!

I agree, my votes are going for Melissa and Tony too. I love how excited Tony is too, poor guy who has been stuck with some of the worst partners....Kate Gosselin I'm looking at you!

I just use the text vote, so 5 of those...I may need to go find my families' cell phones too.

Your a day late and a dollar short on that one. I've been doing that for as long as I have been watching the show and voting. I pay the cell phone bill, so I get my cell phone, DH's cell phone, and both kids phones. If they sit and actually watch, they get a say in who I vote for on their phone, but other than that, it's all mine to use. The only exception to that rule, is no voting for Anna.

Same way with online voting. Each e-mail account I have, DH has and the kids have, all have a user id on ABC.com and the get used for voting. And like the phones, if they watch, they get to say who gets the votes from their e-mail.

But seeing as DS has never watched the show, I get all his votes. DH watches only when Lacey was dancing, so I have his all to myself now. And DD, she's hit or miss on watching. More times then not, I get hers as well.

Here's something I don't understand about all of the Anna hate. Well, I guess it's more about inconsistency than Anna hate. See, I can't stand Karina. I think she is one of the worst pros as far as choreographing to highlight strengths and mask weaknesses. It seems that she does choreography to highlight her abilities and just hopes that that works out with her partners. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. However, I would be able to handle all of that had she not walked out on two of her partners. Now, I understand Tony walking out in his situation with Kate. Personally, I think he should be nominated for sainthood for not walking out weeks prior. However, Karina walked out on her partners not because they were being rude and disrespectful, but because they were struggling to get the steps. I don't understand how people can be so angry with Anna for changing up the routine and not be angry with Karina for some of the stuff she has pulled.

I would venture to say, that many of us that don't like Anna, don't have a high opinion of Karina either, stemming from her actions after losing with Mario. BUT by far, Anna is the worst of the female pros that like to showcase steps to her strenght, not her dancers.

Karina walks out on HER partners during their practice time, it is to calm down and collect herself, so that she can work with them to get the steps. The whole Anna thing, goes back to the fact that SHE didn't want to bother to learn a dance that didn't showcase her, so SHE changed a routine for a star that another PRO had put together. If she is as good a dancer as she wants everybody to believe, she should have been able to pick up the steps that Lacey had put togther in a heartbeat. Oh, and believe me when I say, if it had been Lacey to pull that stunt, I would have been and still be all over her rear end for pulling that on another pro and star team. It was and will always be the wrong thing to do.

I would be pretty sure that at one point and time, every single pro has had to leave the practice room, to collect themself before continuing with a rehersal. I've seen teachers at DD dance studio, leave a room, just because someone(s) in a class are working a nerve and it's leave and collect themself or say something that they will wish they could take back.

And yes, after putting up with Kate, Tony has an express pass to the pearly gates in my book. I wouldn't have wished her on my worst enemy.

ITA on both points. You first point reminded me of something last night ... did anyone else notice how much V-V-Val was acting like the M-M-Maks of the past? He seemed very annoyed that Kelly wasn't dancing up to her potential.

ETA: I was not a big Karina fan until a couple seasons ago.

2. I hope Franken-Emmett and Apolo go home tonight. I can't stand Karina at all, and Emmett isn't fit to polish the dancing shoes of the other contestants.
