Is JcPenny still giving out Mickey globes on Black Friday?

I know that JcPenny has taken on a new direction and I've yet to see anything about the globes. Did they stop this tradition this year?

No more globes. Buttons will be distributed in the stores BF-12/24. There will be a code on the back of the button that you enter online. Prizes include discount coupons, merchandise, and vacations. Customers can ebter two codes per day.

To me, JCP has been sucking all over the place.

I agree with this.

I used to love shopping at JCP with all their sales and coupons, etc.

I rarely even go in the store now. :(

I had a $10 coupon last week, from my gold credit card I guess, so went in and bought DH a new pair of Levi jeans and 2 shirts and still spent $70 just on those 3 items. :( I think their prices are just too high. Wish they would go back to the "old ways."

I too use to love shopping there. I'd buy stuff for the whole family but now I can not find anything for myself to wear. I'm a 39yr old woman who does not want or need to be wearing skinny jeans with big huge tops. I loved their St Johnsbay jeans but they've done away with that line and brought in the JCP line which is horrible. Hot pink, yellow, glue and green with skinny jeans to match the tops. NO THANKYOU! And I too have a $10 coupon that I can not use because I can not find anything to buy.

Thanks. Sad to hear this. DD loved collecting them.

OK, I admit, this was the last remaining thing that would get me out on Black Friday. I had the silly snowglobe for every year going back to 1998, I think (the early ones weren't dated though). And I just couldn't miss a year or it would mess them up :rotfl:

So if there are no snowglobes this year then I might just do my shopping online and sleep in instead. :thumbsup2

I guess JC Penny's and many other big box stores are running into trouble trying to lure shoppers to their stores. More often people buy over the internet to find bargains and avoid the crowds. Was reading this year that to bring in holiday shoppers Penny's was going to be offering free picture portraits and haircuts for elementary students. No mention about snow globes.

I feel the same. At least with snowglobes, I always bought SOMETHING from them on Black Friday. Now, there's no reason to bother getting up. Like others have mentioned, I can't find much worth buying these days from JCP.
