Little fun things to do on the ship? - tips?

We are almost ready for our cruise on the Dream!

I've been seeing tips here for fun things to do and am trying to remember them all now.

For example:

- check out the midship detective agency (?)
- order room service b/c its free, the fruit/cheese plate
- get a wake up call b/c its Mickey's voice

Anything else we should do? The little things that are "fun extras" that we may not have otherwise done (i.e. I NEVER get wake up calls on vacation, but we will this time just for fun!)

Skipped the Villain's show (we saw them all last cruise), to spend an evening swimming and on the Aquaduck with my 10 year old son. Playing with him at night in a virtually empty Donald pool watching the Lion King on Funnelvision, and having the Aquaduck almost to ourselves is one of my best highlights!

Also, I'm a big fan of the little known approx. midnight free appetizers outside of 687. Great way to enjoy a beer in the sports bar and watch Sportscenter with some good apps.

Just home from the Fantasy.....there is a TV channel in the room that plays all the classic Disney short cartoons. Since they are short, it isn't a huge investment of time as you would have watching an entire movie. DH would watch for a few minutes while getting ready in the morning or while dressing for dinner. Hilarious stuff like Chip and Dale scheming to steal Donald's pancakes, or Goofy going on a road trip vacation and everything goes wrong.

just off the fantasy as well and my boyfriend and i did the midship detective toward the end of the cruise ... it's pretty cute and fun for the whole family and an excellent way to see the ship. we chose to take the stairs around the ship instead of the elevators since the elevators are sort of slow with all the people trying to use them and it is a good form of exercise since it literally had me going to the aft on one level then up a level to the forward and back to aft again and so on. but still very fun. i highly recommend doing at least one of the midship detective cases.

besides midship detective agency, you can stand on the gold circles on the floor and the regular pictures are interactive so you can go around and look at all the interactive pictures on each floor.

order more than one appetizer, entree or dessert at dinner b/c you can :thumbsup2

review your pictures at the shutters digital booths daily or play the picture game on the big screen outside of shutters

play miniature golf on the top deck

Do you remember the channel? We will be going on the Dream, so I believe the tv channels would be the same. I love those old cartoon shorts, especially the one with camper that I think maybe the Goofy one you are referring to.

Yes, the one with the camper! I cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard.

I think it was just called Disney Cartoons. The kids set it on the channel, so I'm not sure of the actual number. My son thinks it was 24.

I'm sure we will be playing a LOT of mini golf, that is what my son is most looking forward to, I don't know why but he just thinks its the best thing ever to play golf on a ship.
