Anyone here done away with a PC and gone strictly tablet?

As my PC has gotten slower, the only thing I am using it now for is to update my iPad and backup photos. How do I send everything to the cloud and how do you update iPad without a computer?

I would rather ND play Florida or Georgia in the National Hampionshop. I think Alabama should have been penalized harder for losing at home to A&M.

Seriously considering. Although we have a Mac not a PC.

If Windows 8 Works like my phone does, it may have taken the best of PC and tablet and combined them. The only knock on the Windows phone compared to the iPhone is the number of Apps available, which means that I have to use the regular site, which runs into problems when the site requires Flash Player. I was able to download that Photo Flash Player for iPad. I wonder if Windows 8 figured that out.

I have a coworker who is not a Apple fan and purchased the surface. He is not happy with it at all. He said Windows 8 is still buggy. I didn't realize he Surface was available yet :confused3

Afternoon Gents!

Hope you all have had a great weekend. its been a busy and tiring one here.

We had our annual sport summit and sport awards over the last two days. Throw in a board meeting Friday night and our AGM in between summit sessions on Saturday, it has been long. Yesterday first session started at 7:45 and I made it back to the hotel room last night around 1 am.

Right now I feel a nap coming on.

Haven't read a lot of good reviews either. There is also the Dell competitor. Either way, I don't want to buy anything.

I have a great wife. I'm hunting again for the the next few days and she always has me packed and loaded with baked goods. My buddies love it when I come along. More venison in the freezer is a good thing. BTW, I did buy a new crossbow today so sorry deer, you don't stand a chance!

Paul

Good luck and stay safe! Remember to stay tied to the tree if you are up in the air.

I just got my first deer yesterday for freezer meat. Now I'm hunting horns for a few days after Thanksgiving with my FIL, both BILs, and 14 of our closest friends. Deer camp here I come!

Me either. I am putting all extra spending on lock down. I want to cancel cable, but DW is finding it hard to imagine life without certain shows? That would save $600 over a 10 month period! My estimate for the adoption is between $30-35k so every little bit helps.

What county were you hunting in?

Are you keeping internet? Are the certain shows not available on the internet?

I was in Henry county on a small bit of private land. Next weekend I'll be up in Steuben County looking for a trophy, and helping everyone else find the deer. I might look for one more for the freezer too, it all depends on what comes my way.

That's a lot of $$$$. Are you all still doing the Disney cruise?

We have to keep Internet because I work from home sometimes. I'll have to look into that though. I was hoping Netflix and Hulu would help offset the sacrifice.

I don't know yet. It all depends on where we are this spring with fundraising. I don't want to cancel because it means so much to the girls.

Just think how many people we can pick up on our boat mutiny. :lmao: I get it though, so no pressure from me. As for cable, some of the shows have their own website and some you can get thru Hulu or different network apps. The pay sites will open the show a day after airing. The free sites have the show opening 8 days after the show airs.

If I charge them all $100 I think I would come out ahead :lmao:

That is a very good estimate of the cost... With Ethan we were somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-40k. Part of that was because of having to stay for nearly a month in NY and having to fly with him to Salt Lake to finalize. Luckily our work had a program for adoption assistance and then the government offers a 12k (approx.) adoption tax credit that also helped. I wish that I had used the Lawyer with Lauren that I used with Ethan it would have saved us thousands, but I did not know sthat time. With Lauren our expenses were only about 15K. Good LUck!!!

I am hoping the tax credit gets renewed this year. Adopting two, that would be a nice deduction.
