Let's all do our part to keep everyone SANE and frazzle-free this Holiday season.

1. If it says EXIT - don't walk in it.

2. If it says ENTER - don't walk out it.

3. Those white lines on each side of your parking space are NOT a mere
suggestion - stay between them.

Please feel free to add any suggestions for the sanity of all...
:wave2:

Glad I use public transit; I've forgotten what road rage is! :) Be safe out there, everyone!

3A. And those white striped lanes on the road? One lane per vehicle, please.

4. The left lane on a multi-lane highway is the passing lane, not the "drive the same speed as the vehicles to your right and don't worry about all those cars/buses stacked up behind you" lane.

5. If you're going to jay-walk at night, PLEASE don't wear all dark clothing.

Whew! That felt good! ;)

My 2 cents

Parking lots are not free range for vehicles. There are rows for a reason, stay in them!

1. The arrows in the parking lanes mean something....don't go up the down or down the up!
2. So one or two over the 20 item limit is one thing....15 or 20 over the limit is another!
3. If you're sick, please stay home. I understand you need your vacation time for the holidays, but I don't want your bug over the holidays either!
4. And finally.....please don't park your cart/buggy in the middle of the aisle in the grocery store. Be courteous and pull over to the side so others can get by you!

Wow, I do feel better now.....

My rant?

In addition to all of the above,

When you approach a red light at an intersection, see that very wide white line, several feet away from the intersecting road?
You are supposed to come to a stop BEFORE that line. Not cross over it and then stop.

Believe it or not, those of us who are turning right have no way of
looking over your huge SUV or whatever you drive to see if it is safe to turn right.

Oh, and for the record, I would love to speed too. But I try to follow the speed limit. So get off my bumper.

5. If you're going to jay-walk at night, PLEASE don't wear all dark clothing.

5a - Same applies to nighttime cyclists! And PLEASE, have a light of some kind on your bike!

My own additions...

6 - Control your children! Yes, it's a stressful time to be shopping and kids will be kids, but if Tommy & Suzy start knocking everything off the shelves or just generally destroying a store, *please*, stop them and/or make some attempt to pick their mess up. It is rude to others shopping and to the store employees.

7 - Try to decide on your purchases BEFORE you get to the register! Okay, not every store has price scanners (but if you do this at a store that does, then everyone will REALLY hate you) and sometimes you just need to check or decide at the register, but *please* don't have a cartful of stuff where 70% of it is being price checked and debated on while everyone waits behind you!

That's all I can think of, for now, LOL.

Love it. My contribution is that when in a store please be kind and end your cell phone converstation before you get to the register. It is not nice to hold up everyone and be rude to the cashier while you are off in your own conversation and not putting your items in your cart or listening to your total. It is simple to ask someone to hold or call them back.

The other one is get off your cell phone or text and drive unless you have a headset and are talking. Pay attention!!!!

Also when on your cell phone in public remember nobody wants to hear as you talk loudly about your STD or your personal crisis with your significant other etc.

Whew, now I'm done. lol

Those diagonal lines through a parking space next to a handicap spot is NOT a parking space. There is no way to let the ramp out for the wheelchair if a car is in that spot.

If you take a refrigerator item or freezer item and change your mind, don't just stuff it in a random aisle to spoil.

Please be prepared tp pay for your items at the register, it should never be a surprise that this is coming. Have your card or cash ready like the rest of us.

Don't park in the handicap spot at Starbucks or Dunks cuz your " just running in" , so is everyone else. Those spots are for people who need them and have a placard to prove it.

I understand you are trying to find a parking space in a completely full lot, but if you don't give me enough room to reverse out of my space before you pounce on it, I will just sit there until you stop blocking me!

When you are blocking an aisle and someone needs to get by and they say excuse me, actually move out of the way. Don't just move two inches and think they won't take out your shins with the cart.

I am not American, but do talk to them all day on the phone so I get to play too

Just because I work in a call center, please don't assume I am stupid. When I ask you to repeat your name or address because you spoke so quickly I couldn't type it all, don't slow down to a snails pace the next time. It drives me NUTS!

Pay all your bills and responsibilities first before you spend money you can't afford on Christmas gifts.

Do not supply your kids with gifts way beyond your means and then come crying to me that your electric is going to be shut off and you need to borrow money.

A lane that's about to merge is for folks who have been in that lane to merge and should be done as soon as possible...don't zip up the merge lane from way behind the pack just to get ahead of folks...the merge lane is not your personal 'don't have to wait with others' lane and this action causes traffic to back up.

Don't park curbside at a store even if you are 'just running in for 1 thing' and definitely don't park and wait on your passenger to run in and do extensive shopping (I see folks doing this and coming out with bags of stuff, not just 1 item). Park in the dang parking lot with the rest of us and walk your butt into the store. Curbside is not your personal parking spot.

Don't park your family's 3 or 4 cars out on the street where the neighbor across the street also does this, leaving us only a tiny bit of room to drive by (making it oh so fun when there's a car coming towards you at the same time).

That lane in the middle with the arrows painted on it? It's a TURN lane, not a MERGE lane.

Oh, I like this. Not holiday specific at all, but the "right turn on red after stop" sign also implies after the people across from you with the green turning arrow. You do still have a red light, and they do still have a green.
