I haven't seen one started yet so I thought I would open one up for discussion of the final film

Spoilers about the movie

Lets talk

I took my daughter today to see it an she loved it

I did have to parental control a couple of scenes though
I don't want her having nightmares about vampires ripping the heads off others

I was sooooo shocked when Carlisle had his head ripped off and then jasper!!! The audience was full of teen twenty something's and everyone gasped with Carlisle them screed with jasper

Thank god it was just the future that could have happened if aro continued

I took dd14 to go see it this afternoon. Not a lot of people in the audience and luckily none of the older women screamed at taylor lautner taking off his clothes like last time.but everyone. Was gasping at the scenes of carlisle and jaspar and I liked dakota fanning running all scared lol. But then we realize it was a vision. I adore charlie.

I lived Charlie when Jacob showed him he is a wolf lol. It was priceless

Our theater was packed last night and there were definite gasps. I just couldn't believe they were killing people off like that!

That was an amazing and unexpected twist.

I liked when charlie said he knew a boy all his life and just watched him turn into a really big dog lol.

Is that not what happened in the book? I don't understand the audience being surprised - did they change the story that much?

Not everyone has read the series. I'm good with just watching the movies lol. Now Stephen King, read the books and watch the movies.

No it's not what happened in the book.

The book ending was pretty boring. Lots of talking and bella surprising janes attempts at hurting everyone

The movie added a huge fight scene where lots of vampires died

You sees little of it in the commercial so yes you knew it was coming but you didn't expect what happened right off the bat

I don't care about Twilight enough to have ever wanted to read the books so I didn't know what was going to happen. I had seen commercials and you know there was going to be fighting but I don't think anyone expected there to be so much ripping everyones heads off everywhere.

I'm not ashamed to say I got a little choked up at the end credits. I have really loved those characters and I will miss them and not having anything else to wait for. I'm sure I'l see it several more times before waiting for the dvd release. My dh asked me to try to explain why I loved the series and movies so much since they are all "kids"; we are late 40's. I really cannot put my finger on why exactly but I do know that every woman wants to be loved the way Edward so completely loved Bella.

I think my favorite scene was at the end when Bella is finally able to "show" Edward all of her emotions for him.

I was going to make a thread. Glad I scanned through the list first.

Saw the movie this afternoon. I've read all the books. It caught me completely off-guard when they "killed" Carlisle and Jasper.

After the credits, I would have liked to have see Alice's vision when she first showed Aro that Bella would become a vampire...you know Bella and Edward running through the forest, and then pan the camera to show Renesme running alongside them.

The book ending was pretty boring.

Completely agree.

My son said that he cried when Seth was killed.

I'm honestly glad you enjoy it and all but that's just .... so not true. Most women I know are pretty horrified by that relationship. To each her own, just saying.

An old man kneeling all alone
plants his flowers in a garden of stone
For seven years now she's been gone
and his devotion is still going strong.

I wanna be loved like that, I wanna be loved like that, a promise you can't take back, if you're gonna love me, I wanna be loved like that.

Can't remember who sings that song, boy, it's old.

I wanna be loved like Edward loves Bella, like Rhett loves Scarlett.

Saw the movie opening night(10 pm showing). The battle was so not what I expected. I actually had to get up and stand at back of theater. The rest of the movie was amazing and I was one of those that got teary eyed during credits. It was such a befitting ending to a great series.

Ok, I am a 44 year old woman and some of the old fashioned parts of edward. Have made me go aww,but the modern part of me is like oh no I. Would not be into that. Someone coming into my room while I sleep:stalker lol. And it seems like edward was the first guy bella was into,I myself couldn't settle for the first guy to come along. In the first movie when he saved her from the drunk guys once again stalker. And had charlie given her that pepper spray earlier she could have used it on them . But a lot of women believe in or want to believe in the prince coming to save them. I do like the ultimate opposites attraction though.

And had charlie given her that pepper spray earlier she could have used it on them .

She didn't get the pepper spray until after Edward rescued here. Charlie gave it to her after Leland was killed by the "animal" to give her extra protection in case something happens to her. The potential attack Edward rescued her from happened before the pepper spray was given to her. It all happened the same night though.

My daughter is Dakota's double in the twilight movies and we didn't know about the twist! It shocked us when we saw it! LOL.

I have to say that I did enjoy it, though it was a little hokey. There were so many teenage girls in the theatre that you could hear collective gasps when main characters were killed, except for when Jane (Dakota Fanning) was running away. Then there were cheers. There so much monetary incentive for them to either make a sequel or a something. Any chance for the author to branch off with one of the characters?

Exactly, hence I wrote had Charlie given her the spray earlier previous to the rescue scene she could have saved herself lol

Um, no. Many of us see his behavior and controlling and stalker-ish and would want no part of that.
