So I book my dining next week. We were last in Disney in 2009. I have some I want to try again and some we definetly want to skip.

1900 Park Fair -did it last time for dinner and fine with skipping it. My daugher will be 8 this time. We thought the food wasn't great, but experience was excellent.

Chef Mickey - did it last time for breakfast. Was good, but trying Cape May Breakfast time time.

Le Celluliar - totally annoyed that it is 2TS now. Would love to go again, but refuse to use 2 TS for it.

With that being said this is what I came up with.

HDDR - so excited to try this. Can't decide if I want to go this on arrival day (not doing the parks on arrival day, but will already be a long day). If we don't do this on arrival day, we will just go to DTD and get CS at Wolfgang Puck.

Ohana Dinner - a must and loved it last time. Best Meal!

Cape May Breakfast - super excited to try this.

Via Napoli - We all love pizza and excited to try this. We ate at the other Italian place last time.

50s Prime Time Cafe - ate here last time and loved it. Doing again and for lunch. I can't decide if I should pay out of pocket for this and schedule another dinner. We can get away cheap for lunch (order water to drink and skip dessert - or get one to share).

Also doing the Castle for breakfast and will pay out of pocket.

So ---- I want one more dinner ressie and so can't decide. I had it narrowed down to
A - Captains Grille -- seems good - we don't eat fish, but like our meat/potatoes -- also seems hard to get to and out of the way. The kids kabbob dessert also sounds cool.

b - Liberty Tree Tavern - sounds neat to eat dinner in MK - but my daughter won't eat much here with the family style only entree. What have you thought of this for dinner? She is working on a Colonial Times unit in School and think this would be good for her to see. How is the adults family style meal? Good Quality?

c - Was thinking of WCC - but heard they recently changed the menu. I think it is more of the atmophere than food. Pretty sure we will skip this option.

I am open to other ideas. We don't eat fish and was traditional American eaters. I also love Italian, but don't see anything that tickets out. I heard poor reviews of Tony's Town Square

Thanks again

Have you thought about mama melrose? They have the fantasmic package that is part of the dining plan. It a good use of a credit because the package comes with an appetizer, and it was one of the best meals I had in our last trip.

Liberty Tree dinner is pretty good. Some ppl dont like it, but I always loved it. Its very tasty. Turkey, beef, Ham, mashed potatoes, mac n' cheese, salad, stuffing, green beans, cranberry, apple cobbler for dessert (not sure if they changed the dessert). But we love it here. I recommend it.

Tony's is so terrible. I honestly wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Awful food. I dont even like the theme of the restaurant. If you decide to go, stay away from dishes with marinara sauce. (spag/balls, chicken parm etc). Stick to the white sauces or steaks etc.

Maybe try LTT for lunch when it isn't family style. We love it there for lunch and dinner.

We've never had an issue with Tony's and go every trip.

What about Kona Cafe? Yum!

We stick with burgers and shakes and go to Sci-Fi. Love the atmosphere!

We're also fans of Mama Melrose.

If you like Chinese food, we love Yak and Yeti in AK.

I know you mention that your "traditional american eaters" but I totally recommend Teppan Edo. Its interactive and fun for kids, and the food isnt very intimidating at all. Basic chicken and steak with veggies and noodles and rice. They wont put anything you don want on your plate (my kids dont like onions.... No problem!) its a better than average hibatchi restaurant, thats a "must book" for my family. (if you like Ohana, I think you would love Teppan Edo.) The wave was also excellent.... Great menu with tons of variety- even kids meal options seem better here.

I agree with trying LTT for a late lunch perhaps on the day you do CRT for breakfast. They start serving dinner at 4:00, so 3:30-3:45 should still be a la carte.

If you do HDDR, I wouldn't do WCC just because the food will be similar.

Have you considered Be Our Guest for dinner?

I liked the family style food at LTT, and so did my DS who was 5 at the time....he didn't eat everything, but they were happy to bring more of the things that he did like; very accommodating.

We are also trying Teppan Edo this trip, we've never been there, but we have been to other restaurants of the same style (Teppanaki) and my son just loves the performance factor.

I really like Italian as well. Via Napoli was very good. You should enjoy it. We eat there last trip and plan on eating there again next trip. One of my favorites at Disney.

Tony's was average but we got a table on the deck and were able to watch the electrical parade which was very cool. I think i would have liked the food better but we ate at Via Napoli on the same trip and it blew it away.

Mama Melrose was one of one of the worst experiences I've ever had out dining ever. Food was bad, service was bad and we weren't seated until an hour and ten minutes after our ADR. Never again. Just no excuse for this experience. It honestly should have been at least partially comped but I'm not one for complaining at restaurants as I was a server in college.

Did you look into Portobello at DD. I've never been but heard good things for an Italian meal in Disney.

For American food I really enjoy Wolfgang Puck. However, If you go there for CS I'm sure you won't to go back.

Also, HDDR is great. We did it last trip for the first time and it was a lot of fun.

Have fun!

HMM. I honestly have not done any research on this yet. Is there any characters at dinner? ANy info would be great. Any reviews on the dinner yet?

Thanks!

No characters (LTT doesn't have them either), but I think you'll find a recent review on both allearsnet.com and easywdw.com.

Thanks for all of the input!! I think I totally switched gears and going to try Chefs de France! I always like to do two countries each trip (other one we are trying is Via Napoli). I am soooo exited to try their mac and cheese! There is also plenty of choices for my husband - probably the short ribs...

Also my DD will love seeing Remy. I heard he comes at 5:20, so going to try for an 4:50pm dinner ressie.

Thanks!
