Oh man, I hope you don't regret it, we stayed there over President's weekend and man it was the worst hotel in the area we have ever stayed in......I will not stay there again, it was terrible. :( I hope you have better luck!

What exactly made it so bad? Still looking around for a good rate for the diva trip.
We always have good luck with BW Park Place Inn, staying there this weekend. Under 100 per night. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the parks.

I have so not been keeping up!

I hope everyone has an awesome time at the sleepover this weekend. I wish I could make it but I absolutely have to go to California. For those who I haven't found (or haven't found me) on facebook, it has been a really crazy week for me.

Saturday we got the keys to our new apartment and my youngest and I, who have been staying with my parents (most of our stuff is in storage in CA) finally moved into our new apartment.

Tuesday I finally had my first interview after applying for every job I could find, they made it pretty clear that they felt I was overqualified. Yesterday I went to my second interview and got the call today offering me the second job. It's in downtown Seattle, great pay and benefits and the one I was really hoping for, and I start Monday.

Also today my ex-husband texted me to let me know that he doesn't want our oldest daughter living with him any more, then my daughter called and wanted me to come and get her right that minute. Now I think both of my kids are pretty much done with their dad, which is sad but not surprising. So, although I had planned to put off the trip to get our stuff from storage if I started work right away, that's no longer an option and I'll be bringing her and all of her stuff back with me as well.

This weekend is going to be crazy. My parents, kid #2 and I will be driving their car (I'll be driving) down to CA, leaving late tomorrow night to arrive around 10am on Saturday. A friend will be meeting me at the storage to load up the truck, then I'll go pick up kid #1 and her stuff and head back to the motel then early Sunday she and I will head back here. The parents and kid #2 will come back Tuesday as she has an appointment down there Monday. I think I need a nap just typing it out!

So I got a new place, a new job and my daughter back all in one week. I'm pretty happy right about now.

TGIF, ladies!! Hope you all have a good weekend.

OMG, I just realized my WA countdown is in the teens!! Holy crap, time is going by fast... lol

Hello ladies! As promised yesterday, I am beginning sign-ups for our annual Christmas card exchange. :santa: I will start taking names/addresses today through Friday, the 30th. Names/addresses will go out that morning.

For those of you who are new to the card exchange, it's simple. First of all, who doesn't love getting Christmas cards? Come on. I'm like the Grinch's long lost sister, and even I love getting a pretty or funny card in the mail. Much nicer than bills! ;)

So, if you are interested, all you have to do is send me a PM, either here or on FB, with your name and address. (PLEASE double check for typos and make sure it is correct, thanks.) Then on November 30, all those who signed up will receive a PM with the names/addresses to send to. In other words, everyone on the list will send a card to you, and you send one to them! Easy.

The only thing I ask is that if you sign up, please be prepared to send a card to every person on the list. Don't worry. It's not like you are signing up to send out 70-plus cards! :scared1: No. Traditionally we average around 20 sign-ups.

Here are some fun ways to display your cards. Much nicer than what I do, which is tape them to my door. You can find many more ideas online, especially on sites like Pinterest.

If you have any questions, just let me know. We had a good turn out for the Christmas stocking exchange, and I hope to see many of you signing up for this as well. :goodvibes Ho, Ho, Ho! :santa:

ummmm everything......lol The staff was rude, they repeatedly scoffed at us, told us they wouldn't bring us extra towels (when there were NO towels at the pool), yelled at Cassidy when she simply called and asked if they had WiFi (not free, just if they had it and the lady yelled through the phone "we don't have FREE WiFi!! it doesn't say that anywhere!!!" or something along those lines. We had 6 people in the room (and they knew that, that was why we stayed there) and 4 towels but they would never bring more, we asked for extra blankets (blankets on the bed were really thin and it was cold that weekend, it rained the whole time (and yes, the kids still went in the pool lol) and it snowed over the Grapevine, they said they "might have a blanket or two but probably not". They did bring 1 blanket, luckily we had blankets in the minivan so the kids used those and Micah and I used the one they gave us. There were odd hairs in the tub, I cleaned those up and the floors were sticky. As for the towels, we asked 5 times in 2 days and never got them, finally we walked past a maid cart and we just grabbed some from her cart so we had 8. I contacted the management after we got home and they didn't respond at all, I also posted on TA and if you do a search on the board for the Castle Inn you can find this report (probably with more details and slightly different wording lol) again. lol We won't stay there again, it just wasn't worth it.

Happy Friday everyone, super busy right now!! Got haircuts for Jade and I last night, then went to Target to look for clothes for her trip, we didn't buy anything though. We did get stocking stuffers (Target had chocolate bars for $1 each, king size ones) and I got her an ornament, it felt weird, to buy that stuff with her there.....lol I got some bells but I need to get more and I need some silver cording as well, I may go back tonight to get that and some Twinkies.....LOL Since Hostess is declaring bankruptcy....... :(
I have a lesson tonight, it's a high intermediate lesson so more complicated. Should be fun! Girls leave tomorrow, they will be gone until next Saturday.

I may go back tonight to get that and some Twinkies.....LOL Since Hostess is declaring bankruptcy....... :(

My WalMart, Target and Safeway were all out of Twinkies. Just sayin. LOL

Got something else for my Diva stocking today though! :cool1:

One week from RIGHT NOW, I should be at Art of Animation. EEK!

Does this mean that I arrive the day you leave??? If so, darn! I would have loved to have met up with you and gotten to meet that darling little girl of yours!

Well, I hope that I am not going to regret it, but I just booked Castle Inn and Suites for our trip. It is only 3 nights, so I know I can stand anything for that long...Everything is so expensive anymore! It was the only place that I could afford that was in walking distance.

LOL yes, you leave the day I arrive. Bummer.

Ummm the Castle Inn is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. My friend booked the hotel. But maybe they have changed since 2007?

Dropping in to say hi to all. It's been a bit since I have been on here, FB is where I do most of my keeping up.lol
So lots going on. One is I just had a surprise party for my husband. It was great. He had no clue and I was so happy to give him his first surprise party.
This week is my last at current job and I couldn't be happier. Seriously just didn't like it and will never miss it.lol I can't wait for my new job selling cruise vacations with a huge travel online travel agency. I start classes on the 26th.
The next news is my health. I am not feeling to happy with what I have read. Most know I had the pulmonary embolism in Jan to which kept me from coming to the trip this year. I had to have a repeat cat scan in June and the embolism was gone but they found a spot on my other lung that needed to be recheck again. I just had the new scan and we hoped to see it was gone or that it didn't grow but... it did grow and there are 3 more. So I am still waiting to hear from the dr but it's a high chance I will need to have a lung biopsy. So not wanting this to happen but don't like the unknown. I have been googling it quite a bit and don't like what I read as grown and finding more is just not a good sign. Please say a prayer that all is good. Oh and my current ins will end at the end of the month and my new ins from the new job kicks in on Jan 1st. Does anyone know if they can use it as a pre exhisiting if it's a group ins and not an inexpedient one?
I am also planning my daughters baby shower. It's going to be beautiful. She wants an elegant party with little baby shower norms. Her colors are black and white damesack and purple. I have someone special from here making her a baby blanket and cart seat canopy plus a crib bumper.

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

Michelle,
Congratulations on the new job. I am sorry to hear about the test results and I will pray for healing for you.

Well we will see what happens with castle inn. At least the name is exciting...

Well, that is alot to be "thankful for!"::yes:::goodvibes

Heard someone say a box of Twinkies went for a $100.00 by us. :faint:

Your DDs shower sounds beautiful. :cloud9: So exciting to have a grandbaby. :lovestruc
I am so sorry to hear about your health problems. I hope you find out soon what is going on. I will keep you in my prayers.

Tracey, looking forward to your review now. :listen:

Kerri, no check yet. So strange.

Beth, you are going to have so much fun in Washington.:goodvibes:goodvibes
Also, I need some help getting that image i showed you of the new tee on the internet. I talked to Derrick, and he needs to draw the image on another computer program so he can digitalize the image for the printshop. So he will have to start all over again. He doesn't have time to draw out two images, so hopefully the unfinished one that i showed some of you will do, until the other is finished? I hope everyone will be satisfied, knowing that the one being posted here is not the finished product?
In the meantime, I need to get the new tee shirt process going. It's one thing after the other, isn't it?

I want all of those orders by the beginning of January. ::yes::
I will find out the price for those when I pick up the other orders. I'm thinking they will be about the same as last years. Also the same price for bling. Lots of rhinestones. :rolleyes1

Good morning, ladies!! I hope you all had a great weekend. It's Noelle's 16th birthday today, so we celebrated over the weekend. She had a "Forever Young" theme, so she and some friends went to Flip-n-Out (an indoor trampoline place), In-n-Out, Chuck E Cheese, glow in the dark mini golf, and Cold Stone. I think they all had a blast! It's fun to just be silly with your friends sometimes, especially when you are a teen girl and usually so worried about what others think, kwim?

Anyway, that was on Saturday. Then Sunday we went to see Breaking Dawn part 2. It was good. Ruben and I have decided to work a stop at Forks into our trip. Not that we are huge Twilight fans, I just thought it would be fun to say we've been, and take a few pics. Sunday night, we had some family time with pizza, some pies and presents. I think it was a good birthday weekend. :goodvibes

Well, have a good day! :wave2:

Michele, I am so sorry you are going through all this right now. Let me know if there is anything I can do, even if it's just to meet for lunch to take your mind off things for awhile. I'll say a prayer for you!!

Mel, I'm happy to help, just let me know what you need. :)

Tracey, I'm sure it will be fine. I've stayed at some real dumps in my time, including one up in the Tahoe area that very closely resembled the Bates Motel. We were even given Room 1!!! :scared: As long as there are no bed bugs, I can deal with just about anything else if I have to for a short while.

Michelle I am sorry to hear of your health troubles and will pray for you! Congrats on your new job!

Mel can't wait to see the design for the new shirts!!

Beth Happy Birthday to Noelle. Sounds like a super fun weekend. We went to Forks on our trip 2 years ago and I will tell you it is pretty anti-climatic. It is pretty far off the beaten path and there is the sign of course and then you get to town and it is pretty much a one stop light town LOL. They do have a nice gift shop. If you have the time they have a tour that supposedly goes by Bella's house as well as the high school. I really wanted to do it but my dad didn't want to wait. We arrived in the morning and it was in the afternoon.

Hope everyone has a good week and a nice Thanksgiving.

Mel, did you see my reply on FB? I'm going to send you another one but now I'm out of stamps so it will be tomorrow before I can get to the store. Well, probably, I may go tonight. I'm so annoyed by this!!!! :( I promise I did send it......
We had a good weekend, took the girls to the airport on Saturday, saw them off safely and then Micah and I went to lunch, then to a fish store in Sac, then to see a friend of ours for a little while. When we got home we put the new corals in the tank and then watched Battleship, it was OK, not great but OK. Yesterday we had lunch, went to Lowe's & Home Depot & OSH to try to find a heater element for our bathroom light/fan combo but they didn't have it so we headed to Napa where I picked up my wine club shipment, then to Petaluma to go to another fish store (which was closed contrary to what their phone message says) and then to San Rafael, on the way home we had sushi at a new place by us. I didn't like it that much to be honest, Micah did but I didn't. It was good but not as good as the other place we like to go. We rented The Campaign from RedBox but it didn't play so I have to email them today and let them know. Instead we watched random things on TV. LOL Tonight I have class so I'll be at the bar for a while, not sure what I'll do for dinner, probably get myself something and have Micah do the same. With the girls gone there isn't much reason to make a big meal. lol
I may make it to the grocery store tonight but I might not, if I do I'll get stamps so I can send Mel's check again......if not I'll get it done tomorrow after work. I have to get the stuff to make my famous "yucky beans" for Thanksgiving dinner. ;)

Not a Twinkie left in my town. I bet they are all over ebay!

Sorry to hear about your health. Sending good thoughts and wishes your way!

We had a great time in the parks this weekend. Violet enjoyed everything so much, she was super calm all day, but that is the norm with her anyway. I'm ready to take her back to do the things we didn't have time for. Maybe I can leave her parents at home this time.
Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving? I'm having it at my house with 10 people. The shopping is done but not the cleaning. Ugh.

Cleaning is the worst! :rotfl2:

Sure is! :headache:

I'm not having Thanksgiving here, but I will be having family staying here. So, I will be cleaning extra good for that. I am making a brined smoked turkey, stuffing, gravy and creamed onions, to take to my SIL's.

Today, we painted part of our garage. Then we have to put some cabinets back in that we took out. Those have to be repainted also. Grrr! The list never ends.

Beth, Noelle's party day sounded perfect for her.

Kerri, I did see your reply on Facebook. I totally believe you, and am not worried.

Howdy all!

Michele - If you maintain continuous health coverage, you should have no problem. I believe the law allows 61 days that you can have between plans. You might call your current insurance company and ask them to be sure. Worst case, they will tell you to get COBRA coverage for December, but I think the HIPPA law is 61 or 63 days.

I can't believe I'm only 4 days from WDW. I'm starting to get nervous that I've totally forgotten to do or pack something important. I'm such a stress puppy.
