:cake: Happy birthday to Caitlin! :cake:

Thank you!

Happy Birthday Caitlin! I hope you are having a wonderful day and I can't wait to see pictures of your new baby....er....I mean puppy! :woohoo:

Thank you!

It's still in the works and nothing is set yet *fingers crossed* I was supposed to be moving down to LA sooner but unfortunately that's not happening so Andrew and I thought a dog would be good company for him until I got down there. A friend of ours from church works at a kennel and they recently got in a male teacup chihuaha so we are hoping we click with him!

Happy Birthday Caitlin!

Happy Birthday Caitlyn!

Thank you!

Hi All! Caitlin appreciated all the birthday wishes! She celebrated for several days and had a lot of fun! :)

When I left off we were headed to lunch. Those who guessed Hollywood Brown Derby were correct :thumbsup2 Now I would have much rather stayed with our original adr, Via Napoli, but Dale really likes HBD and since we were celebrating his birthday I went along with his choice.

My view from my seat-really crowded, huh?!

For our entrees we both ordered the Cobb Salad-YUM!

Even though I was less than enthusiastic to go back there, I did enjoy my salad and our server was great. However the best thing about the meal was the "magic" we witnessed at the table next to us. Shortly after we were seated a couple and their very physically challenged daughter were seated at the table adjacent to us. Soon after we saw another couple approach their table. They explained to them that they had seen the "unfortunate incident" at Toy Story Mania and were very sorry for how the CM had treated them.

(yes we were eavesdropping, shame on us, but we never figured out completely what the "incident" was other than that her wheelchair couldn't/wouldn't load onto the ride)

Anyway, it was very apparent how much it meant to the parents that these strangers cared about whatever they had been through. The other couple then said "please take this and buy your daughter something from us" and handed them a Disney gift card. The parents were both crying and Dale and I were misty too! Quite often at Disney we see the worst in people so it was just beautiful and reaffirming to see the best in people!

After we finished eating (and being nosey) we headed back out into the park and over towards Star Tours. Dale had picked up FP earlier and was eager to ride! While he toured the galaxy, I watched the end of the Jedi show.

When the show ended I wandered over to the Backlot Express counter service restaurant. I had never been in there before but I had recently read a Blog about how awesome their theming is so I decided this was a great time to check it out.

If you've never been in there, the theme is that it is a movie studio prop shop and the place is packed with props!

As I was exploring I realized that there is a fence that seperates the Backlot Express from the Indiana Jones show. I was able to catch about half the show from that location. About the time the show was ending, Dale returned from riding ST twice. Perfect timing!

We decided we were ready to go back to the resort for a pool break so we grabbed a boat back to

When we got back to the resort we checked out the beachfront movie schedule.

Just a tip-if you have kids, you must sometime take them to one of the movies on the beach! They have a campfire, roast marshmallows, sing songs and then a movie. So fun and free :thumbsup2

We then headed back up to the room. Dale was feeling tired so he decided he would just nap in the room. (that daybed came in handy!) I have a hard time sleeping during the day, so I went out on the balcony and called home. Caitlin and I talked for about 45 minutes. Once Dale got up he was ready to head over to Epcot.

I think I will save our Epcot adventures for next time. Remember how my first day drama was forgetting my hairbrush? I know, not all that dramatic right? Well trust me, in the next update the drama is getting very DRAMATIC! Be prepared!

Thanks for reading :)

What a nice couple you saw! There are alot of good people in the world, too bad we always focus on the ones who act badly.

OOOh drama! I'm ready to hear all about it. I am quite the eaves dropper myself. ;)

I agree. I felt very lucky to be able to see that moment of genuine kindness :)

Glad we aren't the only ones :rotfl:

what a nice story about another Disney family "paying it forward". I hope that it made the little girls day!

I had the cobb salad for the first time on our last trip and really enjoyed it also. Its a great size for a lunch!

I'm with you, I can't nap during the day, if I do I end up just feeling groggy and even worse.

We must have read the same blog as I went to Backlot Express on a recent trip to check out the theming as well!
It was very cool in there.
And the burgers were pretty good too.

Then again, I'd still be all in favor of demolishing it and replacing it with the long-rumored Cantina from the now Disney-owned Star Wars! :cool1:

I hope so too!

It is and it's also pretty reasonably priced for Disney :)

Same here! Dale however can nap anywhere at anytime :rotfl:

Was it All Ears? I love their blogs!

That would be awesome!

I'll take one of those empty chairs, thank you very much!

We ate at Backlot Express last time. I'm not really into old stuff (hate antique stores) and did not enjoy eating in there at all. It just felt a bit dirty to me.

Happy to hear about other Disney guests spreading the pixie dust. :wizard:

Drama coming - hope it's the happy kind!
