That was me yesterday, up too early!! lol
We had a great time Saturday at the birthday party, ate at BJ's and then went back to her place where we played games for a few hours, then it was home to bed for me. I had to get up at 5:30 am to get ready for working the game. We met at the school at 6:15 am and then headed out for the longest day ever. LOL Got to The Stick (Candlestick park) where we got to work setting up our booths, we have to stock them with food and drinks and put out things like ketchup, mayo, mustard, napkins, the big containers of onions, etc. Then we have to set up our registers and get a quick lesson in how they work. Did all that then grabbed a sausage to eat from one of the carts we were working (we had 1 sausage stand, 1 burger stand and 3 portable beer carts), the gates were supposed to open at 11:15 but they opened at 10:15 so I was still eating my food when they opened, but I took my time and finished that and then went back to my booth to work. When I got there the "stand manager" (one of our group who was managing the booth) said "Kerri, I'm sending you to another stand" so she took me, 2 other girls from our cart and then my friends who came with us and Cassidy and sent us to another booth, up on the 4th level of the stadium. That booth was an interior booth (the others were out in the plaza so they were out in the open) that sold sausages, hot dogs and garlic fries....OMG I sold so many garlic fries and cups of beer yesterday it was INSANE! LOL It was cool though, once we got into a rhythm and knew what we were doing. I had a couple of rude customers but most were really amazing, I got hit on at least twice (maybe a couple more but I wasn't sure if they were just friendly or were actually hitting on me lol) and a made a few dollars in tips. Once people found out we were volunteers and not getting paid actual money for our pockets they were really nice. lol When we finished we had to count our money and clean the work area and kitchen so once that was done we were able to leave. Got home about 8 and we picked up dinner on our way so once we got there we could just eat. I was in bed and asleep by 10 pm......hahahahaha I was exhausted! But it was fun and we had 4 people working for Cassidy so hopefully we made a good bit of money for her account and man, I now have a huge amount of respect for the people who work those venues, we didn't get any breaks at all and I barely was able to take drinks between customers!
At work today and have a lesson tonight, the girls are at home enjoying their day off today.
