I did stay in the touchdown section once before but the other building across the field. It was a great location and practically seconds away from the lobby and bus stop. Call me spoiled but I like the surfs up section right in front of the pool, closer to the bar that way

Luster, you forgot I am cheap and allergic to paying whatever they charge extra at Surf's Up. I got put there one time but I really like TD the best IF I can get the side of the building that I want.

Maybe I scared everyone off with my cheap talk?

Seems like this is the only thread where I post lately. I have been reading some other ones up in the theme parks and man are they getting out of hand. People are duking it out nonstop over the usual- strollers, ECV'S, and the what not

Yeah....I will just miss you. We get there Feb 2 just staying one night before our cruise on the 3rd. My son has always wanted to stay at Sports so he will be so excited. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he finds out!

Luster, they are kind to me at Sports because they see too much of me and are afraid I will go to another resort and throw off their profits. Who, but me, would invite the maid to sit down and watch her show with me and even share my pizza?

Piglets Mom, are you THE Piglet's mom? The one who used to post here a lot? I got to be friends with her a bit and if you run into me could you please do so slowly as I am now old and decrepit and will fall down and not be able to get back up?

I used to post on the DIS a lot in the "old days" but not as much lately. I have always loved your posts, you make me laugh and have such a kind heart. I'm not sure if I am the same Piglets Mom that you are thinking of, as I never really posted here on the Sports thread till planning this cruise. I would love to run into you someday, and promise to do it gently

Btw.... You mentioned the Villiages earlier .... Do you live there? My Uncle moved down a few years ago and loves it.

We are currently in surfs up resting up for an early start tomorrow at AK.
Some refurb being done on some of the tennis rooms round the back away from the tennis court.

Im sad that i was unable to stay for our trip. By the time we decided to extend our trip the only value available for our nights is pop! I guess its better than not staying at all.

I know you have a motive for being so nice to the maids. It is so you can get the towel animals every day isn't it?

in my stay september 2011, i received towel animals daily.
i was there for 8 nights and some days i received 2 towel babies.

i had a new girl that had only been on the job 1 week.
i handed her a $20 the second day i was there.

she had shared with me she was a single mom and struggled with bills.
how could i not tip her big?

anyhoot, she did a lot of towel babies for me and even decorated my toilet in the room..........

i tipped her regularly that week.

the trip i had this fall, staying at sports naturally, only had towel babies 2 nights out of the 8 nights there.

We are currently in surfs up resting up for an early start tomorrow at AK.

tennis building is too far from the food court for me.
i was assigned there once but asked to be put in touchdown 10.
had to wait many hours for the room but it was well worth it.

some peeps like being in the back buildings as they are very (usually) quiet.
i like to be near food.........

staying onsite at the motherland is awesome.
if you can't be at Sports, Pop is a great second choice.
staying on site is so much more fun than staying off site.

Sports is my home away from home.
i can't tear myself away from that resort. i am so comfortable there.


i say i am going to stay at POFQ or at Contemporary for a few nights then switch to Sports.
it never has happened.
i don't think i can give up any nights for another resort yet.............

We stayed one night at Sports this trip then moved to CBR. I miss Sports.... We have has the worse Mousekeeping there. I tip well and its just my Dh and I so really no work. I have had to call for stuff every night! Can't wait to go back to Sports next trip!
