Anyone else watching Boardwalk Empire?

The gangster who killed Angela was a German Jew, he owned a kosher butcher shop. He was running booze for/with Nucky.

I think Manny Horvitz was referred to as the Hungarian in conversations between Jimmy, Meyer Lansky & possibly Luciano in some of their deals.

I took Gillian's tale of her runaway younger husband as her twist on the situation with Jimmy. Of course Gillian is an incredibly twisted individual, so not much more to say about that.

Yes, she is another scary character...so is Nelson's new wife.

Maybe I'm twisted, but Nelson's wife makes me laugh. I think maybe because she's helped redeem his character for me. I couldn't get past his cold-blooded murder in season one at the revival/baptism at the river. Now his life is in shambles, he's completely out of his element & he's very well aware this wife is no shrinking violet, willing to sit home & accept everything that comes out of his mouth just because he says it. He's fully aware she's a great partner, yet at the same time he's never in greater peril as he is if he steps out of line with her. He's cowed by her brand of crazy & it cracks me up.

Yeah, that's what I thought she was doing too. The whole thing with that guy she killed was sick. When she decided to call him James, .

I hope Richard and his new girlfriend run off with the little boy and get him as far away from her as possible.

Did anyone watch Sunday ? I was totally blindsided by what happened ! I wonder what Margaret is gonna do now

I didn't see that one coming! Sad.

They said there are only two more episodes left. Is that for the season or for the series? The next two episodes look intense!

I believe it's just for the season. I think it will be back next yr, at least I hope. I just wonder if Margaret will tell nucky she is pregnant with Owens child.

The whole episode, I thought it was going to happen, but I wasn't expecting it before the episode started. The way things were going on that episode, I just had this feeling and as soon as they said there was a package I was like "nooooo!".

I do like shows that aren't afraid of doing things like that with major characters. They need a new cute guy to replace him next season.

See I was expecting that Margaret & Owen would go away together an it would be nucky to get Owen out of revenge.

So, is Gillian dead or what? Was that an overdose she was trying to give Gyp and he used on her...so then she's dead, right? And I guess Margaret terminated her pregnancy...that was a bit of a shock. She loved Owen. Glad Gyp and Gillian are dead! Was sad that Harrow seems to think he's dead as he dropped off little Tommy and told the guy that all he wanted was for Tommy to be safe...he seems to not be under the delusion that the 3 of them could be a happy little family. I wish they could be. So now Chalky will get his club on the boardwalk.

Pretty sure Gillian survived, especially after her comments to a very confused and extremely disturbed Nucky. I think she's another piece of music Nucky has to face to account for his behavior, along w/ Eddie, Chalky, Margaret, Billie, Eli and the Atlantic City community, etc. Seems he's realized he has been far off track & hasn't kept his attention properly focused & realizes the damage he's caused & the losses he's suffered for it.

His comment to Eli about nobody but people they know and trust getting close, turning his heels on the Ritz & removing his trademark red carnation signal a more focused, determined & cautious Nucky -- w/o the trappings of power from before.

I'm assuming Gillian is dead. Not sure about the pregnancy. No way to know for sure yet whether she went ahead with the termination.

I hope Harrow ends up getting out of the mess with Tommy.

So...the new season seems to be pretty dark. There were some graphic scenes in the 1st episode. Where is Margaret? Where is agent Nelson...that wasn't him who was killed in the opening scene in the parking lot of a diner?

That wasn't Nelson that Richard killed. Did not enjoy Margaret's storyline at all last season, maybe season and a half. I'm ready for her to embark in a completely new direction when she resurfaces.

I think the elaborate set they built means a lot of the season's action will take place in Chalky's club, which might be very interesting because Chalky himself fascinates me since I'm never entirely sure what he'll do next.

Personally I'm very excited thinking we're going to spend time learning more about Richard. Not sure what he's up to, but I think it's personal and not professional.
