November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

Probably just me, but is anyone else obsessing over the Accuweather forecast? I get so excited that the forecast goes so far out, but yikes, below normal temps the whole last week of November? Not even one pool day???

Ok, so logically I know from experience that alot can change 2 weeks out from a weather perspective, but really???

We did both last time and they were both good but I think it would be an awesome way to end a great day. The dinner meals seem to me like fine dining (I had duck) so it's a nice way to relax and savor the end of the day.

If I'm short a magical express luggage tag, can I pick up my piece of luggage at the Orlando airport before going to the bus if I check it?

I have been wondering this same thing. Been watching Accu weather for a week or so. The changes just make me giggle. But I actually like the way its going now. Less rain then when I first starting watching.

I wasn't watching it until today. I was looking at weather.com but it wasn't showing far enough out. Now it looks like we'll get some wet on our first couple of days. Hopefully it's just temporary wet like happens normally in the summer. Might mess up our plans to hang at the pool on our first day though.

One week from today we will be on our way!!!!! Anyone else leaving next week?!

We leave Wednesday the 14th. next week. We are all packed pretty much except for some last minute things. I have been eyeing the forcast too every day- doesn't look too bad, although the 17th is our Epcot day and its supposed to rain, hoping that will change. Overall it has improved somewhat. You just never know with the weather in Florida. We are ready no matter what!!

Aww shucks, I could tell how much this meant to you from earlier posts. Are there still a few members coming? If not, is it too late to go up to be with them for the holiday?

Aww, thanks! You are so right about me being excited about them coming. Our son and his wife are coming and my parents will be here. They live near by. We have 4 adult kids, 2 live in Virginia, one in Florida and the "baby" lives here in Ohio, but 2 1/2 hours away. He's the one who is coming. I wouldn't be able to go to Virginia for Thanksgiving since I'm the only family my parents have up here. My sister lives in Texas. So, we'll be grateful for those who are here and thankful that the others are healthy and safe even though far away.

I haven't been paying any attention to the weather this time. When we went the first week of December in 2010 the day before we left the 10 day forecast was 70s every day but one. Well, in the 8 days we were there, we wore shorts for 1/2 a day! It broke records for low temps two days in a row at 32 degrees!!!! We were not prepared. This year, I'm taking a little bit (ok a LOT) of everything, so we'll be prepared.

This is a very well known and documented fact!

If I'm short a magical express luggage tag, can I pick up my piece of luggage at the Orlando airport before going to the bus if I check it?

You can call ME and request another tag if you have time to receive it before your trip. Usually they send two for each person but I just got one for each of us this time. Don't know why. If you don't have enough time to get the extra tags, you can just pick up your bag and take it to the bus yourself. That would be a shame and sort of defeat the whole purpose. Good luck!

Ahhh! It's hard to see those of you still counting down when we are back and our trip is over!!! We had a fabulous Anniversary trip, just 3 nights, but that's better than none! I started a TR for anyone interested, the link is in my siggie.

Morning! I hear you about the weather, but honestly I hate when it's TOO hot! Then everyone is too cranky to enjoy themselves!! That's why we love going this time if year! On top of that, there's nothing better than walking around Disney listening to Christmas music and seeing all the beautiful decorations!!! Not only that, but on the ride down, we always find radio stations that play 24 hour Christmas music which puts me in an even better mood!! Can't wait! Hope you have a great time!!!

We head out 11/21 (Grand-daughters 12th birthday). Invade my sisters palace in Atlanta for Thanksgiving. Then arrive at ASMu Friday 11/23 for 7 magical days.

So close I can almost taste the smell of gingerbread at Grand Floridian.
