Less than a month until we go - I'm so excited!

I read somewhere that there will be the tree lighting ceremony and some sort of ceremony for the castle lights too.

Carrie - I definitely want to see pictures! I'll also be looking out for the new schedule to see what they've got lined up!

Yeahy so excited! Did I miss it but there was no mention of the castle lights?

There is to be a special 'magical moment' for castle lighting (might not be quite correct name but it's something like that) every night when park closes at 7 pm, it will be at 6.45 pm, so prior to Dreams basically. Think it will be 8.30 pm when park closes later (seems a bit late but that could change I guess).

Leanne - thanks for posting this - saw those photos last night and thought they looked amazing .

Carrie - yes please, I too would love to see photos .

I see a tiny Woody & Buzz in one of the toy boxes - not sure if it will be a character or a 'toy' IYSWIM, but obviously I wasn't going mad when I mentioned on another thread that I had read somewhere that Woody & some of the gang would feature somewhere

Loving the toy soldiers but do they look like the traditional nutcrackers? - I don't know. I'm hoping so as they were lovely.

We're all so very excited over here (even if I still feel very ill prepared! Lol)...I don't mind spoiling it for myself, and then I know where I need to be or make sure we see....but it's still a surprise to the rest of the family.

That is one massive tree!

I just got in the mail a metal Mickey tree for displaying park ornaments, as we buy one every trip...can't wait to get a 'Frenchie' one this year.

Can someone tell me if Small World gets decorated/changed for Christmas? But there isn't any form of 'Haunted Mansion Holiday'...correct?

Small world is decorated, was done during the last refurb. They play Jingle Bells in English and in French in there mixed in with the original song

This thread has made my morning! The moment the DLP Christmas decs are up I feel justified to have mince pies in the cupboard and Fairytale of New York on my iPod!

Amazing thread! I love everything Christmas but nothing more than Disney at Christmas!

I've told DH he will have to celebrate his birthday at Disneyland every year so I can get a Christmas Disney fix

Everything looks wonderful, still wish they were doing MWW, my little Harry is so sad he won't see it, he watches it weekly on YouTube!

As Carrie says, the Christmas update was done a little while ago during the refurb (as apparently they did it later last year, like mid/end November and people who had gone for Christmas season complained they missed it). BUT, I had to laugh as they only recently took the Christmas banners down outside the loading area of the ride (like, in the summer!), and have justh had to put them back up again

Leanne - I've been working this am so didn't see the update on twitter re the garland. I am presuming they will be multiple like in DL, all the way down Main Street. IMO I think Main Street will look the prettiest it has in a long time at Christmas - those garlands just look so right framing the Castle at the bottom .

The tree still looks to have gaps to me. Someone on DCP has said that there are special 20th lights to come - but who knows with them shelving the 20th decs .

One more day and we'll have blast off on the new programme and lots of new photos to drool over . Agree that although I would love to wait and have it all a surprise, I just can't help myself wanting to see what is coming. The girls and rest of my family will be in for a surprise though. DH asked me a few weeks ago if the parks would be decorated for Christmas - doh! Bless him....

I am so excited - can't wait to tell my girls. DD1 is already "feeling Christmassy" as she has lots of Christmas songs & lines to learn for stage school, as well as at school too. We have been listening non stop to 'Santa Claus is coming to town' for the last week - all part of her rehearsals of course . On a personal note, my DH spent Christmas apart from us last year in a not so nice place with work, and so it was a difficult time for us all (esp the girls), therefore this one is super special, and of course, there is our special Wedding Anniversary to celebrate during our trip too . Think I am going to BURST!!!!
