Exchanged DVC AP for DVC PAP

They are accomodating but are inconsistent it seems. I got what jekjones1558 got as well.

maybe I will try again tomorrow, when I have the energy and patience to deal with them

I tried this 3x, twice at Epcot and once at Magic Kingdom and had no luck. I do intend to buy the vouchers before December for next year, however.

I'm sure this is correct, and I'm sure this has been asked and answerd, but If you have a voucher you are getting the luxury of getting upgraded, regardless of when you purchased it this year...If you bought an AP & already activated it, even only like 3-4 weeks ago, then you can't get upgraded to PAP. This is what was told to me yesterday by MS & also the ticketing agency, as well as DTD guest services which they also connected me to.

I explained to them that there were plenty of people that have been awarded the upgrade even though they had activated there AP's and they said It's not true it couldn't have happened....So where does that leave us....:confused3.

Either way I'm glad that the voucher holders are getting their's upgraded, I just wish they also make some kind of clarity on whether or not to also do the short time AP activated holders as well...pixiedust: Maybe this will change their mind..LoL

Was your AP already activated?

I did this over the phone using 407-566-4985. I was worried I'd have to get a supervisor or something but the ticket services agent knew exactly what he was doing. :thumbsup2

Just off the phone. 20 minute hold time...was told it'd be best to just do it at guest relations.
Phone rep told me that he could refund my purchase to my CC and I would then have to call DVC MS and purchase my AP's through them, but that would probably tie up funds for a little while. He suggested that when I go to redeem my "ticket order confirmation" at International Gateway that they will just do the upgrade there and refund the difference as that is the ongoing practice now that supposedly (and hopefully) they are all aware of. Said it would be much easier to do it that way.
I'll find out in December:rolleyes2

I called this week and they changed ours for the pp. The refund has already shown up on the cc. They gave me a new confirmation # to activate when we get to park.

The guest services number above or member services?

We called and they gave us a new confirmation number or magic number as he called it and told us we would get a refund at the park when we picked them up.

We called the number listed on this thread. Had 20 minute wait to speak to someone, but the person I talked to had no problem switching the passes.

Odd, so did I, same wait time, but ultimately told to do it at the park. Either way I'm pretty confident I won't have any issues at IG exchanging them and getting a credit or gift card.

Well I got my Premium Annual Pass and 110 dollars back in my pocket. Guest Services did the transaction quickly. This is a tremendous benefit.

I called the number on this thread and was told I had to contact Member Services. A DVC Member Services cast member was able to upgrade our annual pass vouchers to PAP vouchers over the phone. I received a new confirmation number and was told my credit card would be issued a refund for the savings.

Just got off the phone with the Ticketing Dept (number from this thread). Spoke to an Aurora (I know, magical, huh?). She was nice, told me I should be talking to Member Services....I told her they had sent me to Ticketing (all the while hacking/coughing from pneumonia!) and she was sweet and took pity on me and fixed me up!

Got a $28.xx refund and own 3 PAP's!!!! :-)

Someone in this thread had mentioned a 20% discount.....what is that for???? I'd love some more info!

Thanks OP!!

From what I've read, the PAP's give you a 20% discount at most Disney shopping locations.

so I just got off the phone with Member Services...I was told it CAN be done but it has to be done down there, at Guest Services. Not a big deal, I just thought I could save a few precious minutes of Disney time doing it ahead of time. I guess it just depends who you get on the phone! Maybe I'll try again later. :goodvibes
