Feeling better after reading the past few responses to my freak out about crowds! Hopeful for a relaxing stay!

Glad my review made some of you even more excited!

Lol, it depressed me because I want to go back sooner than two years from now!

For those worried about crowds, having stayed at CSR, POR and CBR (each more than once) during some very crowded times, these spread out resorts hardly ever feel "crowded". There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out in!

And again, I have noticed this at POR and CBR as well. Its one of the reasons I MUCH prefer a larger resort.

Hmm, other random question....I am sure it is in this thread somewhere, but you people talk too much! ;) Is there pin trading as in a pin book at the resort (not just CMs)? Concierge maybe or the gift shop? Deluxes tend to have books at both concierge and gift shop or large traveling pin boards. It has been a long time since I have stayed at a Mod, before pin trading became popular in fact, so I am not sure how they work.

We were there last month and in the gift shop they had a pin pinata, lol, every time I saw it was at the back counter where you'd pick up packages. Enjoy your trip!

Here at CSR now. We are in Cabanas 8B standard view 1st floor. Great location. About a 30 second walk to bus stop 4, 3 minutes to the Dig Site, and 4 minutes from El Centro. Loving everything about CSR except 1) How is the Pepper Market a sitdown buffet but doesn't accept TIW? 2) You CANNOT add too many warm things to the fridge (i.e. room temp water bottles) or the fridge cannot keep up with it. We ruined yogurt and milk by doing this. You can only add like 2 at a time and wait for them to cool before adding them. I guess I could get some ice and chill them before adding. :confused3:confused3

This trick works wonders for us at CBR. When you leave the room for the day and when going to bed, leave the door open to the cabinet that the fridge sits in. We have put up to 12 warm bottles of water and they were all ice cold by the time we returned from the parks at night. The only time we leave it closed is when we're getting ready in the AM or getting ready for bed. Hope this helps.

There's just not enough air circulation around the fridge with the door shut. Open the door to the cabinet when you can.

:goodvibes We will be checking in a week from today! We are so excited about this resort...cant wait to be there:cloud9:
I have a question re: some grocery items for the trip...I originally was going to order from Garden Grocer, we have done this in the past...however I am driving down with my sons on Wednesday, staying in Savannah and then getting up and heading to this resort for check in. We will have room to bring bottled water, paper products, snacks, etc. For the few refridgerated items, such as milk and juice, will there be a walmart en route? or dont bother with stopping and just purchase from the shops there? <I know it will cost more, but again, I only need a few things> :confused3

Tim, as for Pepper Market, you have to remember those restaurants are NOT owned or run by Disney, but an outside vendor.

Just got back from a 5night stay at the Coronado. There are basically two recommendations I have regarding this hotel.
1)pay up for the preferred room, unless you want to do a lot of walking...a lot of walking on the hotel property
2)when going to the parks, more specifically MK, don't wait for bus stop #1, which is actually the last of the 4 on the CSR loop. you may not even get on. with the preferred rooms, you are close to bus stop #2, which is the first stop on the CSR loop, you'll always get on.

If you only need a few things like milk and juice, I would wait and buy those at Cafe Rix at CSR. But there is a Walmart and Winn Dixie not too far from Disney property that you could stop at also. Just look online for directions.

Panchito's gifts, between the lobby and cafe Rix, has things like loaves of bread, half gallons of milk, boxes of donuts, etc.

The Hess gas stations on property also sell these items:)

Considering CSR for our next stay, so it looks like I have some reading to do!

We really enjoyed our stay at CSR back in 2009 and are considering it again for next year (August). The beds are super comfy, the resort grounds are beautiful and we actually enjoyed the food at the PM. We've made it a point to stop and eat there on each trip we've been on since '09, including our last trip this past August - we did the lunch buffet for the first time. While the majority of us enjoyed the food, we actually liked the set up for dinner better. Now, my entire family is torn about where to stay next August. Oldest DD wants CSR, youngest DD wants to try POR RGR, I'd love BC again but I'm having a hard time justifying the extra $$ to stay there, DH doesn't care where he stays. I've thought about a split stay CSR and POR to make both girls happy, but DH hates the thought of moving... decisions, decisions :confused3

I will say breakfast was good there. It was $14.99 for adults... not a bad deal since we were paying $30 for our other breakfasts. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the responses about the fridge. I did notice in my mom's room her fridge is much colder than ours and has a thermostat- our fridge doesn't have one. We've been using hers for our milk and ours for water.

The reason TiW doesn't work at the Pepper Market is because CSR is a resort with a TS restaurant. You can use TiW only there. The same can be said for POR, TiW doesn't work at the QS only the TS there.

The only food courts where TiW does work are those resorts that don't have a TS option...Pop, All Stars, POFQ

True. But you can't buy anything a la cart at Pepper Market anymore. It is a buffet( for breakfast at least) Seems that the TIW would work there since that is the only breakfast option.

But then it would have to cost 1 TS credit instead of 1 CS credit before they could give us our discount, and I think many people would protest. I'm all for making it TS so I can get my 20% discount!

Can't you buy breakfast at Cafe Rix too?
