For the CD, each room must purchase their own. The only exception to this is where there are 2 rooms with mom and child(ren) in one room and Dad and child(ren) in the other. Nuclear family only.

Extended family (mom & dad, son and his wife, daughter and her husband, uncle bob & aunt mary, and various cousins) they won't do it.

If you feel you may only purchase a few pictures, you can purchase the 10 or 20 photo package. These packages offer you 10 or 20 pictures (either on the CD or prints). If you select the prints, you can select whichever 10 or 20 prints you want.

The only other way to get other people's pictures is when there is someone from your stateroom in the photo. For instance, if your kid has a photo with Aunt Mary, Uncle Bob, and all their kids, you can get that photo as part of your package because your kid is in it.

Exactly, if you have everyone in all of the shots, or all of the kids in shots, then they will be on your disc.

We were on the Fantasy in April with my parents. This was our second cruise with them, the first on the Wonder in '10...on both cruises we bought the photo CD and we were able to have my parents on our CD. We made it a point to always use DH's KTTW when it was picture time. Not only did we have the big group shots on our CD, but we also had the pictures of just my parents by themselves.

We made it a point to check the kiosk (on the Wonder) and our folder (Fantasy) to see if all the pictures that were taken that day had made it on the CD. If some were missing, we simply told someone and they were then put on there by the next day.

We love the CD, my parents split the cost with us and we make it a point to get pictures taken every night before dinner. We have some great pictures from our trip.

We have always found that a package around $175-$200 works for us. We can get enough photos to have a nice one for our wall, a few for the albums and some for gifts for family. We don't usually get a traditional family photo done, so the ones on the cruise are perfect and always look so nice.

This is not what they are suppose to do and honestly it makes me mad when we see instances of this being allowed because it is not the policy that everyone else is able to do. They need to stick to the rules or change them. It doesn't matter which card you use. They are only suppose to put one stateroom's pictures on each CD unless you have immediate family only in two rooms.

These are the Shutters prices currently on a 7 night cruise:

The CD has different prices depending on length of cruise.

It's my understanding that there isn't an age limitation on the 2 rooms - parents/kids thing. Possibly there were just the parents in one room and the (adult) child in the other.

I know they are inconsistant in their photo packaging. On our recent cruise, we had 3 rooms: DH & I in one, DHs mom & husband in another, and DHs sister & husband in third room. We only had 2 group pictures (formal nights) and DMIL & hubby had 3 pictures of just them taken in the MDRs and DH & I had one with Mickey. All pictures showed up on our KTTW when we checked the kiosk. We didn't ask them to do that, that's just how it showed up.

As it turns out, we were only purchasing 5 pictures, so we went with the individual price, so no harm, no foul.

Yep. That looks right :) (they've changed it just a bit since March 2011-used to be you had to get so many 6x8's and 8x10's in a package, so the price was different and I couldn't remember the exact amount, and I don't save the advertising or take photos of it)

But if you are talking about parents/siblings wouldn't they be immediate family? I understand not putting multiple parties on one disc if they are not related, but your parents/siblings are your immediate family, even when you are an adult.

If the parents and adult children are the only ones traveling then yes that would apply. However, if the children are married that changes the dynamics. If the children have children then definitely no. You have people who want three generations cruising who want to get family pictures also.

How about this situation? We have two rooms (one family mom, dad, 3 kids) one room is dad, mom, son (6). Other room is DD 20, DS 18! We plan on buying the CD, will they allow us to only purchase one cd???

Or do you think I should call DCL and have them put me in my DD20 room and move DS18 in the room with hubby and DS6?

I know for sure I'm not buying 2 cd's!

You are one nuclear family with no extended family. You should be able to get everything on one CD.

For shots of the family, and ones with all the kids-try to just use one card. We always gave the same card for all the group shots. (we didn't get a disc, but that way all the photos went in the same folder)

Giving them one card does not always accomplish this. We tried it a couple cruises ago with the family we were linked to and they were not linked to our CD.
