I am booking a trip for our family to WDW for next Aug./Sept. DH and I both wanted to stay at CSR but it is booked solid part of the time that we will be there. DH will NOT do a split stay, so I need to book another resort.

I am looking at booking either CBR or POR. Our son will be 9.5 on the trip and daughter will be 8.5. The kids want a fun pool with the best slide possible. I would like a resort that has good transportation to the parks.

We are going to book 2 rooms--hopefully connecting--so bed size, etc. is not an issue. Which would you choose? I have never stayed at CBR and only stayed at POR once when I was younger and don't really remember it! Any input would be great!

I say POR, CBR is very spread out, to get to the main pool and CS you have to take an enternal bus! We didnt care for it at all!

AT POR you can have5 in a room they have a pull out in the AB section! Its really a beautiful resort! We will be there ourselves again in DEC

The only mod we've stayed at is CBR and we loved it. The pool was fun, the food court was very good, and the bus transportation was great :thumbsup2. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. CBR is spread out, but we didn't mind the walking because the grounds were beautiful and we didn't think it took that long getting around the resort. With that said, I don't think you can go wrong with either one as POR looks like a great resort as well. Good luck deciding :wizard:.

Havent stayed at CBR, but POR we have. Very impressed with it, very nice grounds and enjoyed the rooms. Didn't swim in the pool but was nice looking. Looked like there were some games they did at the pool there for the kids too on certain days and times so that might be fun. Don't know if the other resorts do that too or not, but just noticed it on the last trip last yr.

We really loved CBR. The pool has 2 slides and is beautiful. The grounds are relaxing and tranquil. About the size. We stayed in Trinidad south in the furthest building from the pool and food court with 2 toddlers. Never once did we feel like we needed to take an internal bus. It was maybe a 7-10 minute maximum walk. Bus service was fined during our stay but I have seen bad bus reports from both POR and CBR on these boards so you just never know.

I would look at you tube videos of both resorts and see which resort fits your family best. POR is nice as well (and not exactly small either). I don't think you can make a bad choice at either.

If you're going to book two rooms, have you considered just one room at a deluxe?

I have thought of that ;) DH husband doesn't sleep a lot--maybe 3 or 4 hours per night. The rest of the time he is on his lap top for work--even on vacation :rolleyes1 If we have 2 rooms, the kids won't be disturbed and I can even go in their room and crawl in bed while hubby is up working. That is why I am hoping for connecting rooms!
