The dream christmas cruise dec 2-6 2012

I have a few question if I may. First is do magnets work on the door? About how big is the door below the peep hole? I hate to admit it, but we usually go on cruises that use Cruise Critic and they set up a cabin crawl. It is a chance to see the other staterooms. We have a GTY 05A stateroom we would be will to open up for those wanting to join this. We can do this on the sea day Like between 10 to 12. If anyone want to see the other staterooms please let me know, and if you are willing to show yours I will try to organize the crawl. I can't post my email address yet but I am bobbano and I can be reached at gmail.

Door magnets work great on the doors...in fact Disney doesn't allow any adhesives to the door/walls due to the damage it may cause. Just something we found out was that we took our same door decorations on the Wonder that we had used on the Dream...and it didn't stick!! The reason being is that there are too many coats of paint on the doors...and we recycled the magnetic photo pages scraps on the back....so the lesson is that get the regular or heavy duty magnets (we got some from Guest Services) that way you can use them on all the ships! LOL!! I can't say for sure the distance of the peep hole...I would say about 5' from the hole to the floor...but just a guess.

We would not be able to do the crawl...but for the most part the major difference is the deck location...we have been on decks 5 and above and the only one that was really different was the room on the corner had a larger verandah....however, we would LOVE to crawl over to see the Roy or Walt staterooms!!! LOL!!

is the bon voyage bar the one hidden behind the stack by the backside of aquaduck. Its below goofy golf and b ball court. Its a nice open area and convienant?

That sounds like Waves open bar on Deck 12? That works for us.

Bon Voyage is the bar in the Atrium area ...

I am going on this same itinerary in a week. A bit crazy, I know. :joker: Next week's cruise is with my dad and the one with you guys is with my best friend. Couldn't pass up the Florida resident rate.

Anyhow....if there is anything you guys want me to check out or try and get photos of, please let me know. This will be my first time on the Dream, so I'll be exploring for sure.

If it isn't out of your way, could you check to see if Tony from the Phillippines (bartender) will be there for the Dec. 2. He is really nice and we enjoy having a drink and visiting with him...he remembered us when we did both of our cruises.

I don't think you are crazy at all! You can't pass up those FL rates!

Thanks.

JUST WATCHED THE DREAM LEAVE, A NICE SUNSET ON BACK OF SHIP. IT LEFT 10 MINUTES EARLIER ALMOST MISSED HER:rotfl2:

I will check for Tony and Sergio. Any idea what country Sergio is from? It might help narrow the search.

I making a list and putting it with my passport so I don't forget it.

Dropping in to say hi! My partner and I will be on this cruise (as well as the Dream sailing 11/11). Love those FL resident rates. See you around the ship.

Oh it's so nice to see so many new posts. Love that many more have joined the FE too. I can't wait to start packing. It's 42 degrees here today and my soul craves the warm sun shining down on me...

The kids are finally starting to get as excited as I am :yay:. Feeling very blessed to have the opportunity to take them again.

For those of you who live in FL near Disney, what's the typical day/night weather like during early December? Trying to figure out what all to pack since we're also doing a few days at WDW and going to be hitting the Mickey Christmas Party Thursday night after the cruise.

Any other "magical secrets" any of you can share about the Dream :wizard:?

I SEE YOUR DOING THE MICKEY PARTY SAME NIGHT WE ARE. HOPEFULLY WE RUN INTO YOU. WE HAVE DONE THE PARTY THE LAST 3 YEARS ALL AROUND THE SAME TIME. THEY FILM THE CHRISTMAS DAY PARADE IN PARTS AROUND THE TIME WE SAIL OUT. WE WERE AT MK LATER ON THE SATURDAY AND THE CHRISTMAS TREE WAS STILL DOWN FROM THE FILMING. THATS WHERE THEY SIT AT THE END OF MAIN STREET. WE ARENT FROM FLORIDA BUT HAVE BEEN AT WDW THE LAST 5 YEARS AT THE SAME TIME. THE WEATHER HAS BEEN ALL OVER THE PLACE:rotfl2: ITS BEEN IN THE 80s FOR A COUPLE DAYS AND THEN DROP TO THE 60s BY DAY AND 30s BY NIGHT. WE BRING EVERYTHING FROM SHORTS AND BATHING SUITS TO COATS FOR COOL WEATHER. YOU CAN TELL THE CANADIANS THERE WE STILL WEAR SHORTS WHEN IT DROPS INTO 40s:rotfl2: USUALLY WE FIND IT COMFORTABLE DURING THE DAY.
