Christmas parade taping

Hello, I know this may be kind of early, but does anyone know who will be performing in the Christmas Parade? We will be there Nov 27 thru Dec 6th and my daughter is a huge ONE DIRECTION fan. Personally, I hope they are not perfomring, lol, because the Magic Kingdom is not on my radar for that weekend. Too many ADPs to change around, etc... TIA

It's kind of early. We don't typically get wind of this info until just a few days before.

My girls & I have been trying to guess which performers will be there as well. We thought maybe One Direction or Carly Rae Jespen. If it's someone they like, we may go check it out as we will be there as well.

At least two of the following 4 dates, with the actual "parade" elements on Saturday.
Sunday is a back-up day, if needed.

I noticed they moved the parade to 5pm on thurs, fri, any chance they will do the xmas parade because of the inconvenience?

1- In general, Fri & Sat, yes.
2- 7:30AM-ish
3- 2:00PM-ish
4- Unless you normally spend your MK day on Main Street, I don't think that
it should eat too much of your time.

We were there last year when Justin Bieber was performing for the taping. Main Street was an absolute madhouse. They actually opened up the area behind the buildings because the crowds were so thick. I will never go to a parade taping again, it was just too chaotic. We didn't know it was going on, so we walked into the MK totally clueless about what was happening.

But, again, it was Main Street that was packed.

I spend nearly zero time on Main Street in the mornings (I love it at night)
so if you just avoid Main Street, you can have a pretty normal day back in the other areas of the park, where the attractions are.


BTW, below is the "the area behind the buildings" that was mentioned.
Guests can bypass the crush on Main Street and emerge into the park
near the Plaza and Noodle Station Restaurants.

They moved the normal afternoon parade at 3pm to 5 pm. At least that is what i noticed today on disney's calender.

When they have the backstage area open for a walking path. Is there much signage or cast members pointing people in that direction?
Or is it obvious because its packed on main street.

If there are performers going on during taping days. Where are the performances at? Right at the castle?
How do you find out who is performing?

If this years performers are anything like The Beeb last year, they will tweet during the week about going to Disney to tape the parade performance and cause MK (well at least the Main St and Hub area) to be more of a madhouse than it already was going to be.

So far that 5PM info is only on the "official"WDW Calendar site (and that site is infamously inaccurate,)
but, in this case, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the truth.

And, yes, it would likely be the "Christmas Parade" performed on those days (at least on that Saturday.)
It is also possible that they would perform the "Christmas Parade" the next day (Sunday Dec. 2,) too.
