please Disney, read this. Star Wars themed cruise!!!

I think that's a fabulous idea :thumbsup2

Anyone else hoping that their involvement with Star Wars might squash the Avatarland nonsense? :lmao:

Our family of 4 would LOVE a Star Wars themed cruise. I saw the original Star Wars movie 5 times in the theater when I was 10. We've watched all the movies as a family, and my DS was Darth Vader for Halloween last year. I just told him about the Disney aquisition of Lucas Film, and he was excited there will be new Star Wars films. DH and DD are probably less into it than DS and me, but I think they would still be excited to go on a Star Wars themed cruise. Bring it on, DCL!!!

I would love it but no way I could get DH to go with me! Some days I cant believe I married a man who doesn't like Star Wars.

My BF has never seen Star Wars... However I know he'd still come on the cruise with me. :) I can't believe someone has managed never to see a single minute of a Star Wars movie. (Unless you count going on Star Tours. Which he does for me.)

Were were on one of the Pixar cruises last month and when I heard about Disney buying LucasFilms, I was thinking the EXACT SAME THING- we need a Star Wars themed cruise!!!

Am I the only one who would LOVE a Star Wars themed cruise???

That would be a great idea!

This doesn't matter now that Disney owns Star Wars, but how did MGM have that star wars attraction before? It makes no difference now but still just wondering.

They licensed the rights.

It'd be nice to see a few SW charactars incorporated in the regular itineraries for photo ops.

Given how popular the Star Wars weekends are at WDW I am sure you can count on them doing something.

My son would attempt cartwheels if he could get a pic with Darth Vader!

I think a Star Wars cruise would be awesome! There could be a Star Wars night, instead of pirate!

You should hear my daughter's story about Darth Vader at WDW.......yeah, we got the photo!

Stars Wars night would be TOO awesome.

I'd like it but DW is afraid of the costumes that would be around. Let's face it, having been to conventions, there are a lot of broken mirrors out there. I speaking of the ones that tell the 60 year old (yes I've seen this) that they look good in the Slave costume or that a cross between Solo and Tom Seleck is a great thing.

Apologize if this has already been posted, I haven't read the whole thread, but I was thinking it would be great if DCL, in recognition of Star Wars becoming part of the Disney family, would show some Star Wars movies on the cruise ships over the next few months. Okay, specifically, on the December 8, 2012 Fantasy cruise that I will be on!! I would LOVE to see the original Star Wars on the big screen on the cruise ship!!

Great idea!! I'm soooooo geekingout imagining the possibilities!

Star Wars Cruise - Fun that would be...

(to powers that be at disney...hand wave)"This is the cruise you are looking for"

DCL would be crazy not to schedule a SW cruise for, oh, say May 2015 or whenever they plan to release Episode 7. Midnight premiere on the ship, anyone??? Or maybe to coincide with one of the Celebration conventions in Orlando. Synergy, baby, synergy!!!

yes but we are talking about DISNEY! not the brightest of executives :lmao: :scared1:  i mean how many opportunities have they missed on disney cruises for theming like a disney channel stars cruise or cruises with stars from popular abc shows...a few star wars cruies to tie into star wars weekends in june with prime pricing would be nice!!!

OMG my daughters and my husband would freak the heck out!!!!! My dh would move mountains to get us on a SW cruise.

Yeah, my family would freak out as well. My son can't get enough of jedi training and the Star Wars ride at Hollywood studios. There are enough star wars fans out there to fill up more than once ship. Star wars weekends at Disney are a big attraction.

Now that Disney owns Star Wars, hopefully they'll add a little bit. At least a movie or two to start off.
