coronado springs

Hi: DH, DD, DS, and I stayed there December 2010. Resort and rooms were nice. Food court was a little weird. It is a QS on dining plan. Even though we stood in line to order/receive our food there were waiters/waitresses there and we felt that we had to tip them. They were basically just cleaning around. This is the only Disney resort that I have seen do this. Can't say that this is our favorite moderate resort. We much prefer PORS if we are staying moderate.

Well, I was going to lie, but since you asked for an HONEST opinion, I guess I won't. :duck:

You can find tons of information in the official thread. It's our favorite, because (among other things) it has some features of a deluxe at a moderate price - we call it a "mod and a half." If you want the heavy theming of an All-Stars like resort, it doesn't have that; that's another reason we like it. :goodvibes

P.S.: The "weird food court" now works that way at dinner, but is a buffet for breakfast and lunch. It's a great value for lunch if you're on the Dining Plan, because it is a counter service credit.

Thank you very much. We were debating between here and POR and opted for here. Glad we won't be disappointed!

If you stay at this resort pay for a preferred room because it is enormous. The food court is kinda weird because they tack on a fee but the food is good. It is definitely a beautiful place. They also have a gym if anyone in your party likes to work out.

The wait staff is tipped ecause unlke other food courts, the get your flatware and drinks.
CSR is beautiful. The staff is wonderful. We love the room decor too.

I loved CSR. We stayed in June and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautiful and mouse keeping did not let us down. They aren't as Disney as some, more like a nicer hotel. As for the food court, we really enjoyed it. It is a little different and yes, there is a wait staff that fills your drinks, etc. the best part is that you pay for your food AFTER you eat. No waiting in line to pay like a traditional food court and then searching for a table and ending up with cold food.

The resort is large but not unmanageable. It is a different set up because the food areas are close to the preferred rooms but the pool is not. The grounds were pretty and relaxing. We would stay here again for sure.

There is also a limited amount of food at the pool- cheeseburgers, hot dogs, nachos, and drinks.

We stayed there in 2011. i also suggest booking preferred. we like being closer to the main area. i loved the pool, the resort, the castmembers, the food. csr is my favorite resort and it is absolutely beautiful. in all honesty i am hoping i can convince my family to go back next year.

We have stayed at CSR three times and are booked again for January! We have stayed at all star sports a few times as well and the theme feel is fun, but I LOVE CSR because it is less themed. The rooms are comfortable and there are two queen beds as opposed to doubles. Many people complain about the convention center but it has never been an interference for us and we have been there with proms and huge parties at the convention area. I also like to workout a few times while I am at DW and they have a nice gym. The complex is huge, but they are all fairly large and I just request to be as close as I can to the central area. I come expecting I am going to walk a lot. Once we were in the back forty.. but it was okay. We just dealt with it. I can't bring myself to pay almost 200.00 more for a closer room.

Having stayed both I prefer CSR much more.

It has a more Deluxe feel to it than POR...

It is the only MOD I would consider staying at again!

Staff is great, best pool and hot tub...

Favorite area is Cabanas - close to everything!

twinboysmom is right! Paying AFTER you eat in the food court was a plus for sure! Loved the pool and the queen beds. Walking around the lake is awesome and the grounds are lovely. This is the only moderate we have stayed at because of the fitness center. Recommend it!

I stayed there a few months ago and it was absolutely beautiful. Definitely one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at. I honestly can't wait to go back to CSR.

Looking at this resort for June. Give me your honest opinions!

Coronado is our home resort !! our favorite part of the resort is Ranchos even when most people complain for the walking for us is one of the perks !!. Love the Peper Market but I'm Colombian so hispanic flavors are part of my culture. This month we are going to stay in POR (hoping we like it) and is just because Coronado was full for our vacation dates.

Hello, my mother and I stayed at the Coronado Springs in the Ranchos side and we loved it! It's a great place to stay especially if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel with some peace and quiet without breaking the bank. Recently they renovated the rooms and they're gorgeous! They have 3 different heated pools, a jacuzzi, and they even have a gym and a spa. They have different restaurants to choose from I personally love the Maya Grill they serve breakfast and dinner but you can also choose a quick service experience at the Pepper Market they recently made it a buffet and its delicious! I personally recommend this hotel, it's one of my all time favorites. Hope you have fun and are able to book this fantastic resort :D

I am loving all the responses. This is where we will be staying and so far im not even concerned about a certain section since it seems like i will be happy in any section!
