Are All The Rooms Booked For Nov 10?

I have been watching the Disney web site for a week or so hoping that I might see a bigger room become available so I can switch my reservation in one of the Deluxe resorts. Now, tonight, there are no rooms available at all in anything other than value resorts. Anyone know if this is normal? I have not been to Disney during a busy season and am wondering how crowded the resorts might be. I know there are a lot of things going on but I am still surprised.

It's a holiday weekend, the end of Jersey week, the last weekend of the Food and Wine Festival and *I think* there's a Disney Run race that weekend too. So yep, it's entirely possible the deluxes are sold out 9 days out.

Yeah as the PP said, most if not all are sold out and have been for a while now (I've been checking). There's alot going on that weekend.

I know there's a runDisney race that weekend. Its the Wine & Dine Half Marathon and I'm completing my Coast to Coast challenge there. There are 14,000 runners descending on WDW that weekend, and the Beach Club is one of the host resorts for the race. Disney will provide transportation from host resorts to the start and from the finish line. I'm booked in the Beach Club as it is the closest resort to the finish line at EPCOT.

If you want to stay at a Deluxe resort over Veteran's Day weekend, I'd look at the properties up by the Magic Kingdom. The race doesn't go anywhere near the Magic Kingdom and there are no host resorts up there.

Best of luck in finding a Deluxe room!

Just noticed a possible room at BWI Nov 10-11.
Keep checking multiple times a day OP. As we get closer to the date, people may be adjusting their plans. Rooms do go into inventory throughout the day.

Thanks, I have had our room booked for months so that's okay. I love that there is so much going on this time of year. But, I was going to try to upgrade and thought there would be more available. Even with all that's going on I am surprised. The website has gone back and forth with what's available for the last few weeks. Just wondering what affects the room availability so much? When we first booked there wasn't a Poly room to be had. Then there were all types, then none again. WDW resorts are so huge. It just amazes me that they are booked solid!

People's plans change. Room changes, resort changes, extending days, dropping days. I would think, sadly, that weather in the NE will affect some reservations in the near and longer term future.
Veterans Day weekend and Jersey week, Disney events like the half marathon and F&W, they all contribute to the resorts being busy.
Groups/conventions that have block reservations also periodically return unreserved rooms. There are a lot of possible reasons for fluctuating availability.
