The "Official" June 2013 Thread

but I am super excited!:cheer2: Booked our flights today. When I told the kids, they ran around screaming excitedly - you would think that I just told them we were going to Disney :rotfl2: Now to book our resort (POR)!

I sent a request for the FB page. Chad Allgeier is the name.

Hi! Fellow June 2013 here.

We are currently booked at AKV - Kidani from June 16 - June 28, 2013

We are DVC and are currently waiting for our 7 month window to open. We want to do a split stay at BCV & BLT.

:thumbsup2

We are booked at Beach Club Villas for June 9-19th. Celebrating my younger daughters high school graduation and also our first trip "home" as DVC members. Can't wait for June!

We are planning on going June 4-June 11 when my boys get out of school.

The last two years we went to DL. We were there the week Cars Land opened this year.

I can't wait to go back to WDW! We haven't been there for ten years. We stayed at the All Star Movie Resort last time. I miss Epcot, it's my favorite Disney Park!

I'm having some trouble finding good flights to & from Denver out of Orlando. It's really hard. I've narrowed down my hotel choices. I just need to make my reservations. I think Expedia or Orbitz seem to have the best deals. I used Travelocity for my two DL trips but, the rates they give me to Orlando are not very good. I am so excited!!!!

We'll be joining the June 2013 crew! Myself, DW, DD6, DS3, and DD1. We were originally going to be doing it in December 2013, but turns out my brother is getting married on the west coast of Florida in June, so we changed our vacay to the week before - June 9-15.

I actually bought tix from Undercover Tourist before the last price hike, so I saved some money there. We'll be staying at Windsor Hills.

Just FYI - For those looking for a rental car deal - I was looking for a good discount on a minivan rental for that time period, but it seems like most of the reputable in-terminal places have outrageous prices right now. Found a tip on FlyerTalk that said to join KLM's Flying Blue program, which is free. They then have a website with their partners that includes a discount code for National. Ended up getting a Minivan for $335/wk, and that's with everything included. Most other places are around $400/wk and that's before taxes/fees/etc.

Im joining here as well! I guess since most of our trip is in June, I will join y'all along with my May group :) We will be there May 30-June 7 at POR Royal Rooms. We are sooo excited, this is our first family trip to WDW. DH (32) myself (32) and DD (6). DH and I have been to WDW several times, but not really as adults so it has been a while! DD is having this as a surprise first trip!

Looking forward to hearing all your stories and "getting to know you". :cool1:

I'm tentatively planning on going back to Disney World in June for my sorority's national convention!! The convention is June 21-24 and its at Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa. Since I'm off from school for the week I'm hoping to get there a few days before the convention to get some solid park time in. That will depend on my sisters and their budgets! Ideally will be there June 17-24! :cool1:

We'll be joining you lovely people in June too :yay: Booked into OKW 4th till 11th then AKV on the 17th and 18th yippee.

We are- Me, DH, DD 4.5 and DD 23 months.

First visit to Disney with our Kids (hubby and I been a number of times), so so excited to finally be taking my girls.

We are planning on going June 7-15. It will be first time for our kids DD(10) and DD(will be 7). We are from CA and they have been to Disneyland several times but never Disneyworld. My brother is thinking of joining us and bringing his wife and DD(4) too so need them to decide so can figure out where to stay which would probably be a rented villa if they do decide to go.

I just booked our trip for June 14-21! We'll be staying in POR. It's the first trip for all of us - me, husband, and my two kids, who will be 7 (girl) and 4 (boy) by then! So excited! Husband has been to Disneyland and Tokyo Disney as a child but none of us have been to WDW!

My family will be joining all of you in Disney 6/9 - 6/15 @ AofA LM rooms - so excited!!!! I love planning a trip almost as much as travelling and this is my first time planning a Disney World trip!:yay::yay::yay:

:cool1::cool1:

Add me, add me! Just got back from an AMAZING October trip, and my daughter (12) and I are going back June 1 - 15 (as of now, may adjust the dates slightly once SW releases their airfare next month). We are staying at Art of Animation.

Ok...off to read this entire thread. Do we have a Facebook group? I loved our October Facebook group!

Three of our last four trips to WDW have been in June -- always arriving on Father's Day (the other trip was in May) and we find the crowds and heat/humidity to be high but manageable with a little planning. It's certainly not as bad as being there during a holiday week. We've always done rope drop at the parks and gotten a ton of stuff done by noon. We spend the afternoons taking in shows (and spending more time in the a/c) and then head out of the park and back to the resort by early evening (6:00 or so) and call it a day. Or we head back to the hotel by 2:00 or so and go for a swim, have dinner, and then head back to the parks for the evening when it's cooler. I know some people absolutely refuse to go to Disney during the summer months, but that's all that really works for us at this point. I think with a little planning and accepting that it's going to be hot and there will be more people there than "off season", you can still have a very enjoyable trip.

We've gone in the summer a few times as well and this sounds very much like our plans. We always are there at least 45 minutes before the park opens so that we are rolling at park opening. And I go through tour plans and we have an order to hitting each ride and we stick to it on ride days. We also go for longer so that we can have ride days and character days separate. We always take afternoon breaks that include a nap. We are also from Texas and the heat is really the same at home as it is there so it's not a big transition for us weather wise. Just have to be smart to avoid the lines.

Our page is started on FB!

I asked to join - I'm Kimberly Sloane

I could be wrong, but I don't think they have ever offered free dining in June.

I believe you had to be there by May 30 or 31, but we had free dining for one of our June trips - I think the last time we went in June maybe? I just moved us back to arriving then. There's no way I could get us there any sooner than June 1 this year though..

I was finally able to convince the hubby that we should go back to WDW this next June. :dance3::banana::dance3: I told him it was my Mulligan trip. This time, he is not allowed to try and force the DSs on rides they don't want to go on. That is one of the main things that made the last trip so bad, and what had me in tears on our first day at the AK. Plus we ended up not going to Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center because it was raining.

To make it even better, a friend that I grew up with, is planning her first WDW trip with her kids for about the same time and I get to help her plan!! I am as excited about that as I am planning our own WDW trip.

It's always fun to go with someone as long as they are there to have fun. We invited my dil last time, and low and behold my son wants to go! He is neither a ride or crowd person. So trying to keep him satisfied, did not get to enjoy myself as I usually do. But believe it or not he wants to go back this next June. Go Figure. But it is fun planning when you have someone else to make plans with.
