Hi! I'm new here, but a big fan of Disney. My daughter only knows WDW so I'm surprising her with this cruise. We'd love to participate in the FE's! Can I post our names and stuff on here or can I e-mail it to you? I read that I can't PM you since I don't have so many posts.

Hello all!
I am new to this board and new to cruising. My family and I booked the Dec 2nd cruise a few weeks ago. While researching I stumbled upon this board.
I booked three cabins--
In our cabin there is My Husband, 7 year old son, 3 year old daughter, and 13 week old son!
#2--my sister in law, her husband and 2 year old daughter
#3 --my in laws (we are actually going for my father in laws 70th b-day which is on Dec 1st)
We are super exicted and looking forward to getting to know all of you! --I have not read through all of the posts but will do so as time permits (with a now almost 8 week old!)

We definately would like to be part of the FE. I have been dong some google searching and have some ideas. Our room is 6603 (a little worried about motion sickness, not sure we could have managed hearing the water well we tried to sleep). Kids are daughter 9 (t shirt size medium) son 14 (t shirt size mens meduim), husband (t shirt mens large) and myself (t shirt ladies small). Starting to get excited, I think I have remembered everyting, sure hope so. The tigger logo, is that something everyone in the FE puts on their door to make them easier to find?

A lot of people get worried about seasickness. The best advice would be to talk to your doctor and see what he/she recommends for each member of the family. Over the counter medications may make you drowsy (or they may not, everyone's different!), but might not be a bad thing to bring along for just in case. DH and I have had good results with Sea Bands (well, HE has, I seem to have an iron stomach!
), which are basically wristbands with a little button that puts pressure on a certain point of your wrist, using that to combat nausea. A lot of doctors recommend them for morning sickness, as they're not a drug at all - but they don't work for everyone. A pair runs about $10 and they're at pretty much any local drugstore or big box store in the health and beauty department. Some people swear by ginger pills. It's all in what works for you - and you might find that you don't get seasick at all! I can assure you, though, that the medical center on board has a good stock of remedies for seasickness. In fact, when the waters get particularly rough, I've seen them just put a big basket of the pills on the counter at guest services (free of charge, even...it was pretty rough out there...
)
I love the fact our group is growing... though I think my wallet is starting to get nervous if our group keeps growing at this rate... but we will have to see how that continues.... The meet time is fine with me as well... maybe a little bummed we aren't doing anything on the first day. But I'm just basing that off my last dis board meet up. If everyone is fine with day 1 at sea then I'm right there with you. Also if people could get sizes pm or posted on here by Sunday the November 4th that would be great.. that way I can figure out if I can get it all done before we head to
Disneyland. And even if it doesn't work out I still hope you like the other FE's I have come up with.

I kind of figured the first day might be too hectic, with the safety drill, sail away, luggage arriving, kids club registrations, learning the ship (or in my case, showing mom my favorite spots...can't wait to be back on the Wonder!
), and all that. If you happen to see a foursome including a really tall man, a shorter man, and two women who couldn't deny their mother-daughter resemblance if they even wanted to, hanging on the top deck smiling like idiots

Okay, now that I have answered everybody (I think), on to what I actually have to say!
I'm thrilled to see our group growing! I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying the Mexican Riviera with a great bunch of people!!! We have a lot of first-time DIS cruisers, from the look of it. I can't wait to see the

We still have a few days to get the FE information to me. I will be sending out the list on November 1, so if you're on the fence, jump! For whoever asked (I know I read it, but my mind is foggy at the moment), we have 23 adults, and 8 children ranging from 13 weeks to 14 years! I believe the count is 11 rooms, but as I said, foggy!
I will also be printing out door magnets soon. I will make plenty, and I'll have them at the meet on our first sea day.
With all that out of the way...IMPORTANT news to share with everyone! I am very much in the path of Hurricane Sandy
, and for anyone who doesn't know, DH and I are both in emergency services. 
I will most likely not be on here, on facebook, or on my email, very much over the next few days. Please do not be offended if I don't respond to you right away. I WILL get the FE list out. If you email me, PM me, or post here, I WILL get it and respond eventually! It just might be a little delayed.
