Called twice today and they refuse to give member # over phone. Have to wait for "the letter" Ease my mind by saying plenty of 2br will be available @OKW Memorial wknd.:worried:
 


My apologies but isn't that who I just called ? 800-******** #2 ?

Option #1 is MS, #2 is Administration. If you are in the system, MS can look you up, give them your SSN to search by.

My guess is that Administration is tired of new resale buyers calling. They may have instituted a new policy of not giving out any info. We have never received anything but our member ID in the mail when buying resale.

Ok I'll try #1 soon . You're probably correct about them being tired of folks like me being anxious. Thanks for help.

OK I tried once more and still nothing. MS told me to contact my broker(he seemed unsure of himself) I did and she called who she normally works with at Disney and there is a new policy in place of not giving new members their numbers until they get that "letter". Done trying hope the letter comes soon.

Ooooooh that's a bummer. We closed on 10/17 and was hoping I could call at the end of the week to get my number. Itching to start planning vacations! Thanks for the update on your experience.

Great timing for new rules right ! I closed on the 11th so tomorrow is 2 weeks.Up to this point everything was fast and smooth. I'll post the moment I get my "letter"
 
Ours closed on 10-18 so we too are waiting for that coveted letter. Does it come as an e-mail or by regular mail?

It comes snail mail. Ours was sent from Disney on the 19th and (fingers crossed) I hope to get it today. Silly that they have the number and won't give it because the girl in MS said if I don't receive by this friday to call her back.Then , I assume, she would give me info on phone?:confused3
 
Whew. Finally closed today. Twenty days after we received the final contract papers. Guess they weren't kidding when they said to not bother paying for overnight delivery when we returned our buyer stuff on day one. Now it seems, another Disney imposed delay before we're loaded. But for half price, I'm still glad I went resale!
 
The "letter" came today ! Just called and all is well for May 2013 8 nites including Memorial weekend. OKW 2 BR first time we will be "Welcomed Home":dance3:

We received the letter with the member number yesterday and was wondering if that was enough to get the required info for the for the website or if we have to wait for the additional packet to come in 4-6 weeks.
 
The member number that was sent in the mail should be enough to log in as a DVC member. If it is not, call MS to work through it. I can't post a link because I'm new to the boards, but searching "DVC home page" will get you the link.

Wow We closed 10/11 so it was exactly same time to get letters. I just called MS and got Activation code and club ID which is dif than member ID for online access.
