Does anyone know how well stocked the Kidani Village store is with grocery items? I'm just looking for basics - bread, milk, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, etc. I started to place an order through Garden Grocer but with delivery fees and what not the total came to over $80  We won't have a car so it seems my only option is the Kidani store or ordering from GG.

Hi :) Have you priced We Go Shop? That's the company we use and their prices have always been great. :thumbsup2 I choose for them to shop at Walmart, you can specify which one you want, they bring me the receipt so I can verify that I am only paying what they paid, plus the delivery fee. The Kidani store does have a decent selection of necessities, but I highly recommend We Go Shop!

The store at Kidani does have the essentials but you will pay for them. Also if you are buying groceries from GG or WGS make sure to add plenty of bottled water to your list. It can be very costly to buy it in the parks and you really don't want to drink from the water fountains provided. GG might be a little more expensive but it is worth the convenience to us. We don't bother with a car either. We order snacks for the room. Wine so we can have a glass in the evening. Coffee and creamer. I like a decent cup in the morning. Not the Nescafe crap they serve in the parks and most of the resteraunts in Disney. Things for breakfast. Some lunch items if we are at Disney at a time of year when we will be spending some pool time. We make our own lunches when we do that. We usually spend 6 or 7 nights there so laundry detergent is on our list. If nothing else I do a load of towels. Dishwasher detergent is another one. Groceries can add up but to me it is worth the convernience. We had extra but we try and find someone just getting there about the time we are leaving so they will get the extra coffee, partially gone jar of peanut butter, extra laundry stuff etc. That way I don't feel so guilty about not using everything up.

We stayed at Kidani 2 yrs ago. The Target is really close and the cab ride there and back is cheep. It's an easy trip if you're not happy with the selection/prices at the resort. It was a surprisingly quiet and easy outing for Mom (no nonsense) while the kids relaxed after a day in the parks and dinner.

Just seconding the suggestion of We Go Shop. Amy does a great job and shops for you like she'd shop for herself (looks for the best bargains, quality, etc.). She's reliable and well worth using to elminate the hassle of having to find a way to the grocery store.

I've never priced the resort store items vs. her delivery fees, but I'd guess you'd come out even or better using We Go Shop and it will be there waiting for you when you arrive!

Here's the link to the grocery order form for AK Villas: http://advc.disney.go.com/media/dvc...groceryorder/GroceryOrderForm_DAKV_101912.pdf

Kidani does sell gallons of water or you can get a 24 case of water from the Hess Stations for about $5 or so. I usually ride the DTD bus to the West Side and walk across the street to the Hess Station or you can ride the bus to Boardwalk Villas and walk across the street to the Hess Station. If you're going by yourself, make sure you carry a bag with you to put the water in. I always have Hess cut the case open so that I can put it in smaller bags.
