Mr. and Mrs. Weak Sauce Go the Distance (a completed Disneymoon TR!)

I've been a lurker on your TRs but I had to pop in to say that you had such a creative idea! I also envy you for making time to craft while working full-time and adjusting to married life. :)

I looked at your blog...was great... You are very creative...:)

Love all paper related things...I've recently done some Paper Source workshops-love them... but when I do them I want all those cool tools...$$$ dangerous...

Recently I bought a book Outstanding mini albums 50 ideas for creating mini scrapbooks... It's very cool and good for someone like me because the projects are relatively short and there fore you get instant gratification- well maybe not quite instant-but pretty quick...;)
c
Btw... I voted for you... an they tell how many times you vote... it didn't seem so...:rolleyes1

Yay for more Animal Kingdom! The animal trails are always so fun to explore.

I am so jealous you get to go in December...you guys are definitely getting your money's worth out of your APs! If only I didn't have to cancel the Dec. trip I had planned...we could've maybe had another DIS meet. :( Hopefully if Emma extends her CP I'll be able to go NEXT December. Oh man, you guys are going to love it. The Christmas decorations are amazing. It will be crowded but so worth it. Are you going to be staying on property again?

I am excited to go back to Animal Kingdom in December. It will be fun getting a chance to see the park when it's not sweltering hot! Too bad we can't have another DIS meet. Going during Christmas time is something I never thought would happen!

Yay for a December trip! :cool1: Don't you love AP's? They are the reason I got a bonus December trip last year! I'm going to miss mine, it expires on October 5. Brandon actually got an email today inviting us to the Fantasyland AP preview, and he called me at work to ask if I knew about it :-)rotfl2:) and when our AP's expire...I said they expire on the 5th, but we could always renew them...he said ok until I told him how much it was to renew! Got my hopes up there for a minute...oh well!

I love Animal Kingdom, but it is really hot there, we skipped it in May, and I'm glad we did since it was a billion degrees while we were there!

I love your pictures of the trail (or trek, whatever it's called!), we went through one of them in December (I think?) and it was cute. I like the tiger part, but I can do without the bats!

I tried reading the Kingdom Keepers books, but I just can't seem to get into the first one for some reason! I keep waiting for something to happen! Although I haven't gotten very far...it's been sitting on my shelf at work for months, I should try it again!

Seriously, having the APs has made this possible because otherwise there's no way we'd even think of going to soon. Haha, Howard showed me the Fantasyland preview email too, but I was like, "It's in November" before he even scrolled down.

Superbly excited to see AK when it's cooler out! I'm sure observing the animals will be more interesting, and we'll have much more patience!

The beginning of Kingdom Keepers is a little difficult to get into because so much is up in the air. They don't explain it right off the bat, but I took the time to try it again when I was injured and was just lying in bed. It picks up, trust me!

Okay, I'm getting all caught up, so this might be quite a post. LOL.

Wow, that's great that you had no trouble falling asleep the night before the wedding. To me, that means you weren't too nervous, which is great.

I hate false lashes, but they really do make a huge difference for photos.

Your hair looks gorgeous! :goodvibes I'm so so jealous of how beautiful your hair is.

You can absolutely see how joyful you guys are in those pictures. It's so great.

I do the same thing with my hands when I'm nervous! I fiddle with my rings. I can't tell you how many rings I've dropped on the ground because of my stupid habit.

Beautiful vows, absolutely beautiful.

You're not the only one who doesn't like posed shots. Natural is always best. But you still look beautiful in that one where you said your hand looks like a claw.

Chocolate cake with peanut butter sounds absolutely divine, and the cake looks awesome.

Girl, ain't no shame in having dinner with your parents on the first day you're married. :lmao:

McGriddles are so bad, but oh so good.

Hahahahaha. I almost died at your "a lot of women poop in airports comment", because dude, seriously, I've thought the same thing!

Skymall is great, and I'm always fascinated by everything in it. I would totally be that person that buys something too.

MCO is one of my favorite airports. It's just so pretty and clean to me. Such a far cry from my Chicago airports.

I knew you guys were going to Chik-Fil-A! That's totally where I would have gone too.

Soda and fried food go together beautifully! Just like alcohol and Taco Bell.....

That was awesome that Joanna sold you guys DVC points. :goodvibes

I love AKL and I think it's great that is the resort you were able to stay at for your first time staying on property.

My Mom and I had to rush over to Kidani from Jambo house one year too. We made reservations at Sanaa, and our plane was delayed also, so we were hauling it over there in the heat.

Your hair looks so cute!

Oh, the bread service at Sanaa is to die for. I love it! Love love love.

You're so funny about the rice pilaf. That's my favorite rice. I don't know why, but I've loved it since I was little.

The thing that's great about Sanaa is that their portion sizes aren't insane like most other restaurants at Disney. Gives you the chance to really enjoy everything.

Agreed, to really appreciate AKL you have to go and see it in person.

Nothing wrong with hitting ITTBAB for your first attraction on the honeymoon. Location to food is very important.

Those mad hatter mugs are too cute!

Yay for you guys going back in December! That's awesome.

Yeah, not having issues sleeping the night before the wedding was awesome! Also not being nauseous the next day was such a blessing too. I'm normally nervous about anything new! I was sure this would be something that would cause a ton of anxiety. I'm glad the entire day is just over. I love all the photos to remember it all, but I would not want to live through it again, haha.

MCO is definitely a fabulous airport! I don't know if it's made even better just because it's in Orlando, haha. When we go back in December, we're definitely going to have to hit Chik-Fil-A again to try more sauces although we'll be arriving late at night so it probably won't be open.

THRILLED to go back to Sanaa for that bread service! I suggested it to my cousin who went last month and didn't enjoy the restaurant but didn't try the bread service. I think that makes all the difference. Delish!

Yay! I am so glad you get to go back in december! It will be much nicer at AK. Maybe you will even have time to re-read the book! I really need to read them before I go next Oct. I haven't read any of them!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

They're definitely something you have to read! It just makes me suspicious of everything and makes the park even more fun (although sometimes scary, haha). The books just make me feel even more like a kid.

It's so funny watching the videos and hearing the screams from the EE riders, seeing people riding Kali River Rapids in the background, and then seeing the gibbons. It makes you realize how amazing Animal Kingdom really is!!

I think the trails are definitely hit or miss, but you can definitely see some amazing things there! :thumbsup2

I tell myself to take more and more video, but I come back and feel like it's not that much even though I do come back with more each time. I think it captures the atmosphere much better than JUST pictures. Yeah, those trails are hit or miss. It's worth going through though ... in the cool weather!

Hooray! We'll be there in December too! :goodvibes I'm buying an AP for this trip and my DFi has a 10 day non-expiration pass. We're planning on going back in September/October next year, but I'm hopeful we may get a long weekend trip between now and then... :scratchin I mean, hey, it's FREE! ;)

Love the update! I love wandering around Animal Kingdom. December is definitely the best time to be at Animal Kingdom, though. I hated when we used to go in August :crazy2:. We're having a welcome party breakfast at the Tamu Tamu Courtyard in Animal Kingdom and I think I'm most excited about exploring the area. Well, that and the Mickey waffles :).

Can't wait to read more! :cheer2:

Ooo, seriously? You'll be there in December?! When we get closer to the date, we should see if any of our plans line up!

We love Animal Kingdom! It is the most thoroughly themed park.

We have been on a hiatus from the parks but are getting passes again in November. I can't wait!

When I feel stressed back here at home, thinking about AK out of all the parks is what makes me feel calm just because of that beautiful atmosphere. Yay for getting passes in November! Just less than a month left!

We love the Maharajah Jungle Trek. The theming back there is the BEST! But I must say, it always feels 10x hotter than the rest of the park!

Oh, SERIOUSLY, that heat was like, insane! It was like the sun was shining right about that trek!

I really hope you are going to do a TR for December! You will LOVE the decorations! :santa:

I will definitely do a TR! It just might take a while. I have a trip from this year in April too that I can write about eventually!

Thanks for two more great updates Rachel. The ground pictures really cracked me up. You would not believe how much video footage we have of grass and basketball courts where I forgot to turn off the video camera at my kids games.

Congrats on the December trip. We were there last December and I am sad we will not be there this year, but I wanted to experience MNSSHP, so we will see what I like best.

Can't wait to read more

Haha, so I'm not the only one who takes those ground/feet pictures! It's such a good thing that we don't use film anymore because I would be wasting a ton of film on that! Haha, all that money developing those pictures!

It must be wonderful getting a chance to go during different times of year and during different holidays. Christmas is the only one we can experience if I continue to teach, so I'm happy to at least see something! Excited to see the Osborne lights!

hooray for the AK update! Can't wait to see what you did next.

Hopefully, I'll be able to update soon! I'm home recovering from a crazy viral thing.

I have more ground pictures than I'd care to admit...

I think those trails in AK are one of the things that make that park so special... they really are evocative and if you want to pretend and squint to ignore the trash cans... you really can pretend your in an Indiana Jones film...;)

Are the Kingdom Keeper books good... I mean they must be good cause you're reading them... but do they add to the experience when you're visiting the parks?

Congrats on your December trip...:cool1: My DH got a deal on one through our DVC points because he wanted it to get a TIW card which he got a discount on too... and I'm already thinking it would be a blooming shame to just get use out of once... I feel we might need an October trip next year to do the Halloween Party and Food and Wine...:scratchin

Ooo, that's the perfect description! An Indiana Jones film! Haha, how fun would it be to run around exploring as if in one of those movies.

I always recommend Kingdom Keepers to Disney fans! It's so crazy in terms of its plot, but it makes me feel like I'm more of a kid because I really root for the good characters and get scared of the evil characters. I see the costumed characters in the parks and think the way they do in the books ... I wonder if it's just a costume or if it's like, the REAL Maleficent, haha. I know libraries have them, so I'd suggest checking it out there first if you don't want to invest any money in it.

YES, you need to have another trip! Haha, one can never have enough!

I voted! Your memory box is great!!!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

I LOVE your idea! I wish my husband liked sentimental ideas like that. I would totally make him one for our upcoming anniversary!

Thank you! I'm happy that my hubby likes all those inside memory things. Haha, I don't always know what to do or get for him for his birthdays and such since what he wants is an expensive camera lens.

I voted! :) You're so talented!

Thank you! I appreciate it!

I voted... And I'll vote again tonight when I get home from work... Good Luck!!! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

I've voted a couple of times since you sent it via Facebook. Thanks for the reminder today tho! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much, Jen!

I voted! What a clever craft!

Thank you so much!

I've been a lurker on your TRs but I had to pop in to say that you had such a creative idea! I also envy you for making time to craft while working full-time and adjusting to married life. :)

Thank you so much! Thanks for coming out of lurkdom to tell me. I don't have that much time to craft, which stinks, because being a wife and teacher doesn't really leave me with time for much else, but in situations like this, I really do make sure I have some time once in a while.

I looked at your blog...was great... You are very creative...:)

Thank you! Paper stuff is seriously so dangerous! It's hilarious how much paper crafters have and don't use, yet they go out and buy more! It's just so PRETTY!

Ooo, I'd love to see anything that you have crafted! Do you have a blog? Or have you made something that you can post a picture of here? I love finding fellow crafters especially fellow DISNEY crafters!

Thanks for voting! I really appreciate it!

RAWR!

Real Life Update
- I finished #5 in the Master Crafter Challenge! Though I didn't win the #1 prize or any of the random prizes, I'm still excited to have been able to finish so high up on the list. Thanks to all of you who voted! It was the last time I crafted, so I still think about the time fondly.
- The short version is that I've been at home recovering from a severe viral thing that caused me to pass out last Thursday. Howard caught me and couldn't wake me up for the longest time. I woke up and was a little dazed, so Howard called 911 and an ambulance came to take me to the hospital for about 12 hours. Ton of symptoms and days of feeling bad, I went back to the doctor today and still need some time to recover. That's why I figured I could update a bit today since I'm tired of resting, and that's all that I can do.

There aren't that many rides at Animal Kingdom since it's all about the animals and the trails, but that doesn't mean I don't absolutely LOVE one of the rides there! On the way to our next location, we stopped by the Yak & Yeti shop or something like that since we had seen it on the list of places with an AP discount. They had non-Disney merchandise, which typically I don't care much about since I figure it's all about the Disney stuff when you're IN Disney, but this stuff was actually super adorable! For those of you who checked out my blog, you know that Howard and I love sushi, so there were some shirts that were very fitting.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur1.jpg

Howard is a huge fan of dumplings so I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up getting a shirt similar to this for our future maybe daughter!

6-BrowsingandDinosaur2.jpg

They had a ton of choices of funny and witty t-shirts.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur3.jpg

Outside I checked out all the bags and such on the cart and really loved the huge silk takeout box.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur4.jpg

When I was younger, a girl at church had a bag like this but MUCH smaller. I always looked at it and wanted it, so ever since then, I look at these things and want them! But no, I didn't buy this because I had no need for it. Maybe if I find a need for it, it'll one day come home with me!

6-BrowsingandDinosaur5.jpg

Here's a view of the really small shop. Not enough AC to really take a full break in it. In fact, it's actually really tight by the counter where the register is.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur6.jpg

We continued on our walk and I pointed out how the sculpture matches the peaks of Expedition Everest.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur7.jpg

This lady walked right into the shot, haha. We were too hot to stick around and try again.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur8.jpg

We stopped to watch the coaster for a while because I wanted to see just how steep the drop was. I would really like to ride this, but there's something nerve-wracking about the backwards drop.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur9.jpg

WHEEEEEEEE!

6-BrowsingandDinosaur10.jpg

Moving on to DinoLand! I'm surprised they never had these huge dinosaurs come alive in Kingdom Keepers.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur11.jpg

I like the angle that Howard took this picture because it makes the dinosaur look so high up in the sky.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur12.jpg

Let's walk along the road to our destination. I stayed in the shade as much as I could, of course.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur13.jpg

We're here! YAY!

6-BrowsingandDinosaur14.jpg

I was so excited to be able to ride Dinosaur again. The first time I rode it was when it was still called Countdown to Extinction, and I remember being jerk around and semi-squinting because I was scared and excited at the same time. This is my kind of thrill.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur15.jpg

I don't like it when rides are too crazy, but this is just right for me. I was so excited! Haha, the first time I rode it this year though, I screamed so loudly with the dinosaurs especially in the spot where they take your picture, haha. Howard got such a kick out of that, but this time we had a plan for the picture.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur16.jpg

When I was younger, I would not have appreciated flooring like this.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur17.jpg

Ride vehicle! We had front row seats too, and I had to make sure Howard was sitting on the outside, of course.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur18.jpg

We had our plan for the photo ...

6-BrowsingandDinosaur19.jpg

We held each other's hands and gazed into each other's eyes as if we didn't notice the dinosaur at all! Haha, so corny, but we wanted to do something different. I think it's funny that Howard still has one hand on the bar though, haha.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur20.jpg

I think this thing is rather creepy in the dump shop.

6-BrowsingandDinosaur21.jpg

Creepy! Never thought I'd actually prefer to deal with the large animatronic dinosaurs instead!

6-BrowsingandDinosaur22.jpg

SO much fun! We laugh during the entire ride, and all I ever want to do is ride it again and again!

Ugh, sorry you haven't been feeling well! But yay for an update!

hahaha, that ride picture is actually really funny. Love it! It is more fun when you plan something different like that.

You really should try Expedition Everest on your next trip! It's a great ride. :thumbsup2

Just found your report. First off congrats to both of you. Your wedding cake looked awesome. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. Also I hope you get to feeling better.

How have I never seen that little shop before? Some of those tees look too funny and I think I would be so tempted to buy one. Not sure if I would end up wearing it, but I think I would get caught up in the fun of it all and buy it while I was there. :lmao:

Hope you're feeling better.

So sorry to hear you've been sick. I hope you're well on your way to a full recovery!

I really can't believe how much you love Dinosaur! It is a great ride, but in every one of our ride photos my DD is in the "duck and cover" position - and the rest of us are usually laughing!

Ugh I'm so sorry to hear you've been sick! Thank goodness it happened while Howard was around and you weren't alone when you passed out.

If it weren't for the backwards part on EE, I bet you'd love it. :goodvibes

Hope you feel better soon! :flower3:

Thanks! I'm not as miserable as I was, so that's why I was finally able to get on my desktop yesterday. Beforehand, I was in bed (or on the bathroom floor).

We took another ride picture being silly later on too!

I will definitely have to think about riding EE!

Just found your report. First off congrats to both of you. Your wedding cake looked awesome. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. Also I hope you get to feeling better.

Yay for joining in! Hope you're enjoying it, and thanks for the well wishes!

They're definitely really cute! If anything, you can buy something for your DD to wear!

I am feeling better, thanks! Still recovering, but I'm beginning to eat so that's great!

So sorry to hear you've been sick. I hope you're well on your way to a full recovery!

I really can't believe how much you love Dinosaur! It is a great ride, but in every one of our ride photos my DD is in the "duck and cover" position - and the rest of us are usually laughing!

I can't wait to be fully recovered. So tired of just feeling useless, but there isn't anything else I can do because I'm so tired.

Haha, it's such a fun ride! During one of our rides, we were with a family where the dad used his high flash thingie to record, so we saw all the tracks and the half dinosaurs. That made it even more fun because it's like, hilarious how a half dinosaur can be so frightening!

Ugh I'm so sorry to hear you've been sick! Thank goodness it happened while Howard was around and you weren't alone when you passed out.

If it weren't for the backwards part on EE, I bet you'd love it. :goodvibes

Hope you feel better soon! :flower3:

Seriously! Howard had asked me before I got out of bed to take my medicine if he should stay home with me, and I said no. Then when I got dizzy and he caught me and put me on the floor, I finally came to and I was like, "Are you staying home with me now?"

I think I'd really like the ride. It's mainly just one big drop, right? The rest is the twists and turns?

Thank you!

I'm so sorry you were sick! That must have been scary for both of yall.

Your Dinosaur picture is too funny! I love it. I must admit that ride scares me!!

Yeah, it frightened Howard so much. He could NOT wake me up. He was trying to feel a pulse and all that.

Haha, I'll post the other one soon! Hopefully.

Puppetry Mastery

After our terrorizing yet hilariously fun ride through Dinosaur, we went through the dino souvenir shop. I really want to explore the outside of the store more when it's not so hot. You get to notice funny signs like these. Do you see that the sign on the right is actually a gas sign?

7-DinoLandandNemo1.jpg

Just gotta appreciate how dumpy this place looks, haha.

7-DinoLandandNemo2.jpg

I stood there for a bit examining. Ahhh, I miss my long hair!

7-DinoLandandNemo3.jpg

When we walked to our next attraction, we saw that Primeval Whirl was down. I like these coasters because even though the drops are sudden, you can see them and know they're coming up. Of course, Primeval Whirl puts a "spin" on that with the spinning, so that's why I've never ridden this.

7-DinoLandandNemo4.jpg

I just thought it was interesting that there were people up there examining the track because you guys know just how much I love ride track!

7-DinoLandandNemo5.jpg

I was tired of walking in the heat so I decided to drive there. If I had realized how this looked, I would've squatted more. Haha, what steering wheel is so far up?

7-DinoLandandNemo6.jpg

Where did we go? Finding Nemo! I admit I wasn't looking forward to it at that moment other than enjoying a bit of AC. I had wanted to see it a while ago, but that day I was just tired.

7-DinoLandandNemo7.jpg

As you can see, we sat in the top set of bleachers behind the walkway so the seat location probably didn't help much either. There were supposedly some seats farther down as the CM told us, but I didn't want to be squished. I like that in this photo the couple in front is trying to get someone's attention. "Over here! Right here!"

7-DinoLandandNemo8.jpg

It was cute how all the kids would get so excited when they caught Nemo in one of those bubbles.

7-DinoLandandNemo9.jpg

No one was really sitting in the bleachers at this point, so I liked having the space in the AC.

7-DinoLandandNemo10.jpg

Then the show started, and I immediately remembered why I wanted to see this so badly in the past! I absolutely LOVE theater productions, and they combine the puppetry into this show so well that it's seamless and so perfect! If you can see, the characters are heading out to the drop off.

7-DinoLandandNemo11.jpg

I like how they did the bouncing jellyfish scene with Marlin and Dory attached to wires from the ceiling.

7-DinoLandandNemo12.jpg

Nigel is massive! I've seen it in pictures before, but he really is THAT large. I mean, I was thankful to be so far away, haha.

7-DinoLandandNemo13.jpg

BUBBLES!

7-DinoLandandNemo14.jpg

Definitely a MARVELOUS show! I hope to get closer seats next time so I can see the actors better. I did have to scoot left and right to see certain parts, but I liked that even though it was last minute (we did NOT want to wait outside in the sun for a long time the way that the guide thingies recommend), we got to see the whole show without being squished.

7-DinoLandandNemo15.jpg

In the big blue worlddd!

I totally used to have a shirt similar to that sushi one. Hysterical. I wore it to Teppan Edo one year and the CM's thought it was hilarious and could not stop commenting on it.

That stuff is so cute though, I'm going to have to find that store on my next trip!

You definitely have to get on Expedition Everest some day. Believe me, the backwards portion is not that bad. :thumbsup2

I remember when Dinosaur was called Countdown to Extinction too! I hated it when they changed the name. Hahaha.

Cute picture! I love looking totally distracted in the picture. I have a plan for my next one too. ;)

I absolutely adore Finding Nemo: The Musical. The first time I saw it I just thought it was amazing! Still do. And I have the soundtrack. :)

I am so glad you are feeling better!

I love Dinosaur! Your picture is so cute and funny!

I really need to check out those t-shirts! The dump shop at Dinosaur has a number of cute (dino-themed) shirts too.

Aw, those shirts are cute! I like that Chinese take-out container, too! You should buy it and use it as decoration. . . I'm sure with your craftiness you could add stuff to it or put some cute things in there that would make it a great display!

I love the Finding Nemo show! It's so amazing how they are able to put on a stage performance that really makes you feel like you are in the ocean :)

I love Finding Nemo the Musical! We even bought the soundtrack. Now, when I watch the movie I am always singing the songs along in my head!

I had missed so many of your updates! :( I don't know how that even happened!

I'm sorry you've not been well recently, but I'm glad that you are getting better.

Thanks for the pictures of Finding Nemo - I've never seen it, and probably won't since we're not really too into seeing the shows. We did more of that when the kids were little, but they're all about the rides now!

Ah, the Primeval Whirl! It's a very jarring ride, that's for sure! You hit those corners while you're spinning around.....it really throws you around in the car!

I love Expedition Everest, but I'll admit that going backwards in the dark is a bit disorienting.
