Wait a minute, I'm 40, when did this happen? Nicki & Todd LIVE reviews! Completed!

So here we are, walking around

Todd: Its hot!

Me: I know...I'm right here with ya

Todd: Al said it was going to be 82 (he watches the Today show, Al Roker lol)

Me: I think he lied!

Todd: Lets go to that cave thing you are talking about

Me: Mexico or Italy?

Todd: Italy has a cave?? Since when, lets go!

And that is how we got to try Tutto Gusto :rotfl2: I knew we were going to venture there one day or another so I was thrilled that he wanted to check it out. The place was completely empty, dark and cool inside. We had a nice seat with a view of the bar

Just so you know, I asked if you can order a different combo of anything, things that are not on the menu and the waiter told me that you can do whatever you want. We plan on going back again and trying different items

What we did get is a large bottle of Aqua Panna bottled water, buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes and basil and the trio of meats.

The cheese and tomatoes were outstanding, so fresh and flavorful and a very large portion. We didnt eat the bread

EpcotMonam036.jpg

The meats, oh my gosh the meats. I died and went to Italy on these suckers! I wish we had this kind of food where I live, being from Boston and Little Italy just a hop skip and jump away I really miss the good stuff. Todd ate the breadsticks, he really liked them. The bottom of the plate is proiscutto, an Italian ham that was so tender it melted on your tongue. The middle is a hard salami that was Todd's favorite and the salami at the top of the plate was a fennel (anise) salami and that was my favorite. Lucky for me that Todd doesnt like fennel so I got it all

EpcotMonam037.jpg

This place was outstanding and totally worth checking out...cannot wait to try the olives, roasted eggplant and more cheese!

I can't wait to try Tutto Gusto.....looks like my idea of heaven.

I'm hungry and it's not time for supper yet! These pictures of F&W are really really making my mouth water and won't make supper look very good. I need to plan on F&W one of these years!!!!!!!! Enjoy the remainder of the week while I enjoy your reviews!!!!!! :)

It's so cool you take time out of your vacation to update your dining review, which is awesome btw. This is the first one I have read of yours and I must say I am really enjoying it. You are making me think of going to other places I have never been before, like the Maya Grill and the Italian restaurant in Epcot. Yum!

Also the bakery in the Land looks fabulous! Maybe a must on our upcoming trip in Jan.

I loved F&W when DH and I were able to go ourselves. I don't find it practical or easy with children. The jerk chicken and the Godiva Chocolate Liqueur Ice Coffee looks fabulous!! Yummmmmm

Finally, all pictures are uploaded, lets get this show on the road! What a fantastic birthday this has been! Gorgeous weather, adoring husband, we are in WDW and on the way to breakfast, lots of B-Day wishes from family and friends,....can life get any better?

We drove over to Boma and the resort was very busy, most people were checking out. Pretty long line at Boma but the restaurant itself didnt seem busy at all.

I forgot to ask, how much was Boma pp? I need to decide if I am paying OOP for that or one meal at Yachtsman.

Thanks!!!

Those Red Velvet Whoopie Pies at The Land look seriously amazing! If I fly down to Orlando on the first flight tomorrow morning and grab as many of those as I can carry, do I have enough time to make it back to Jersey before my husband realizes I'm gone? Just kidding... kinda. :rotfl:

I have never been to Tutto Gusto either, but it looks fantastic. I really want to check it out next trip. Thanks for all the great pics!

I literally LAUGHED OUT LOUD at this! My DH says things like this all the time! He eats to live and I LIVE TO EAT!!!

Oh we are just the opposite lol!

Yum, yum reviews again ....... and speaking of your Italian goodies, you really got me in the mood. We are going to Italy on Friday for three days and I'll be living off that stuff! :cloud9:

Karin I am so jealous! One of these days I will get to Italy...have a great time!

I can't wait to try Tutto Gusto.....looks like my idea of heaven.

I love F&W, its so much fun! We are planning on being there Thurs and Fri but leave early on Fri before the weekenders get there

Its fun to do live reviews, except if you are having too much fun to do them! So happy you are enjoying them. There are many people in Epcot with kids, you see the little ones trying the food just as much as us adults!

Thanks!!!

Todd paid and we have TIW card, I think he said the total was around $46?

I will tell you all about those whoopie pies soon...you are better just flying in for Tutto Gusto!

thanks for posting the photos of the goodies from The Land... I had a photo of the banana cake but no sign so I didn't know what that was. Question answered!

You're killin' us with your amazing F&W selections! Oh my! Sounds like dropping by Tutto Gusto is worth the trip! :)

The plan last night was to have dinner at the Wave and then go to MK for the night, they were closing at 1am. On the bus ride to MK Todd asked to see the menu to the Wave, we had both settled in on what we wanted and seemed happy with it. But guess what? We get to the Wave and the menu changed! No more short ribs, the side dishes are all different and the dressings to the salads are different! We decided to cancel the reservation and just go to MK

Me: What are we going to eat?

Todd: We can go to the Plaza or Crystal Palace

Me: So just walk right in huh?

Todd: Yeah, that sounds about right

Before getting on the monorail I took pics of the cupcakes at the Contempo Cafe. I hope to get back there for the Fall Cupcake

MKandPoolday003.jpg

Magic Kingdom looked very busy, well packed actually but to humor him I followed his trail to the Plaza, they could get us in but it would be an hour wait. Nah, we didnt want to wait that long....now here I am just starving and would eat a piece of wood at this point so we walk over to Crystal Palace, they could seat us but I didnt want to eat there because the last time I had dinner there I was ill.

What I really wanted freaked him out

Me: Can I get a taco salad?

Todd: I dont want a taco salad

Me: Did I say you? Me, hello, I want the taco salad

Todd: You never eat those, that is my dish.

Me: I never eat it because you never share!

Todd: Ok fine, lets go share a taco salad

Me: HEY! You can get your own!

On the way we passed the egg roll stand and again he had two of them. They have plain veggie, corn dogs and shrimp/pork egg rolls.

MKandPoolday004.jpg

Getting to Peco Bills was horrible, it was wall to wall people! We finally arrived and used the self order kiosk, I just love those!

I added everything from the topping bar except liquid cheese and someone managed to pile on a bunch of pickles...luckily I stopped him from topping MY salad with them and they wound up on the side

MKandPoolday005.jpg

If you are wondering if I shared, well yes I did...how can I know share my salad when he is looking at me all sad and puppy dog eyed? ;)

As we made our way around the park we came upon the little food thing by the Hall of Presidents. Todd got an ear of corn and said it was very good. I needed some veggies so we shared the celery and carrots with ranch dressing...this was great, very fresh and filling

MKandPoolday006.jpg

MKandPoolday007.jpg

Towards the end of the night we shared a hot dog from Tomorrowland. Those fancy topped hot dogs can be ordered without the toppings and they come with apples or chips. We chose the apples which Todd ate and said they were fresh, crunch and sweet. The hot dog was great and I had a bite or two but not the bun...he ate the entire bun

MKandPoolday008.jpg

The plan was to go back to Main Street for a snack but that are was a sea of people and it was just miserable so we went around the park to do some rides and see the fireworks and just have fun. On the late bus ride back I hear

Todd: Well you did it, managed to kill me. I want the day off tomorrow

Me: Sure, we can go to the pool

Todd: After I sleep in of course

Me: Do you want me to bring you breakfast in bed or something?

Todd: Maybe, dont know what I will be in the mood for yet

Me: (now I can throw his words back on him) Its just breakfast, not rocket science!

We slept in this morning, I think we woke up around 8:30, that is so late for me! I also woke up hungry, for me this is not normal...for him it is totally normal!

Me: So whats the plan Stan?

Todd: Lets go to Boma

Me: Pardon me? I have to make reservations....

Todd: No you dont, they can get us in, trust me

Me: And then what are we going to do?

Todd: Tell you after I eat

Oh no! Not this again!

We drove to Boma, yes they sat us right away! So infuriating that he gets away with this!

The buffet was exactly the same as the other day except for three things. No blueberry pancakes, they had M&M ones instead. No turkey (for which I was so sad) they had corn beef instead. No ham and cheese scrambled eggs (again, this was a big downer for me) and they had feta, spinach and tomato instead.

We ate basically the same as the other day.

MKandPoolday011.jpg

MKandPoolday009.jpg

MKandPoolday010.jpg

The food was awesome but the corn beef was terrible, dry and very tough. Loved the new kind of scrambled eggs too...tons of flavor and the cheese just melted into the eggs...oh man! I could just eat eggs and that wonderful stewed tomatoes and fresh carved ham every single day!

Me: (Joking around) When are we eating here again?

Todd: (Not joking around) What day is free on your schedule

Do you think we are going to make it back to Boma for a third time????

As we are driving back to the resort, on this gorgeous day, we stopped to gas up..the 93 octane was just 3.71! Down .17 cents in 4 days! We normally pay 4.09 at home, thats nuts right?

As he is fueling up I start to drill him

Me: What now

Todd: I dont know...movie or pool?

Me: Either is ok with me

Todd: Flip a coin?

So he does, but we forget to say which is heads and which is tails :lmao:

Todd: Boy are we slow this morning! Lets just hang by the pool and drink!

SOUNDS PERFECT!

Lazy day in the sunshine, I love those. We didnt drink though, so full from breakfast there was no room for anything else. A late lunch at the resort was in store for us and wanted to eat it outside but all the tables close to the CS were taken so we just sat inside.

I was still full so I had a side dish of tuna...just $1.99, thats a great deal. Its all white meat tuna with onions and celery and mayo, very good!

MKandPoolday019.jpg

Todd had pizza, he said it was eh, not great, not bad, just edible

MKandPoolday018.jpg

For dessert we shared some clementines...never saw this at the resort before but I loved it! Super sweet and juicy but oh so expensive at $4!!!

MKandPoolday017.jpg

Here are the pork, beef, shrimp, fish and chicken po'boys

After lunch it was time to get cleaned up and go back to Epcot, we were craving more beer!

I'm not going to say a word about this, not a single word. All I'm going to do is :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Do you think he can get us a walk-in at the Crystal Palace for breakfast while we are there in December? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Tonights dinner was Tutto Italia, could not wait to try it since they were closed for the remodel and new menu. The restaurant really hasnt changed on the inside except for the bathrooms and the entrance. The outside seating is completely different. The service was outstanding!

Breadsticks and foccacia, Todd liked the breadsticks but we didnt eat the foccacia. The olives were awesome and we asked for more, the brought us out as many as we wanted

epcotnight008.jpg

epcotnight009.jpg

We shared the caesar salad, well not really..I didnt like the dressing, it was to acidic for me, too much lemon maybe so Todd ate the entire thing

epcotnight010.jpg

We also shared the sauteed zucchini with tomato sauce and cheese. This was out of this world. Super tender and sliced paper thing..so delicious!

epcotnight013.jpg

I wanted the short ribs with meatballs but didnt want the polenta. The waiter had to get the manager to ask the chef if this can be done. Turns out there was no problem, they could sub veggies for the polenta. The short rib was too dry for me but Todd loved it. The meatballs were to die for, just like my mothers...so tender, loaded with flavor and the gravy (real Italians always never call it sauce!) was just like hers too and had a wonder olive oil floating on top..OH MY GAWD! I could just eat this forever

epcotnight016.jpg

My veggies were a humongous plate of al dente string beans and roasted tomatoes. We shared these, just excellent!

epcotnight015.jpg

Todd had the lasagne and hated it. A big bowl of mush, everything overcooked and just slopped together. He took a few bites and gave up. He didnt starve though because my portion was so huge he ate off of my plate

epcotnight014.jpg

We skipped dinner because we wanted to try snack on other items in Epcot. It seemed that all the people around us were getting gelato...must be good!

After dinner it was time for some beer...this stuff is really growing on us! I thought we were going to get a glass of Rose Regale but the Hanson concert was starting so we grabbed some beers and away we went!

I had the Angry Orchard Hard Cider - Crisp Apple. This was great, had a sweet bite to it and went down easy

epcotnight027.jpg

Todd had the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, I didnt care for it but he enjoyed it

epcotnight028.jpg

MMMMM Bop is easier to listen to when you are drinking! :thumbsup2

In Germany we shared a milk chocolate salted caramel square, these are dangerous, they are just too good!

epcotnight032.jpg

epcotnight031.jpg

epcotnight030.jpg

On the way out we grabbed a coffee, very strong and very good.

Todd: I need something sweet to cut this coffee

Me: You just ate that caramel

Todd: Nah, this calls for a pastry of some kind

Me: And I suppose you have something in mind

Todd: Well yeah, two things actually

The things he had in mind are from Sunshine Seasons...he saw them as I was taking pictures yesterday

The Banana Cake....this was good, I took one bite of the cake and it was a nice banana flavor, very moist. I do not like frosting but he said it was a cream cheese one and very good...he would get this again

epcotnight035.jpg

The Red Velvet Whoopie Pie, this was not good at all. The cake had chocolate chips in it and the neither the cake nor the chips had any flavor at all. The filling was a gritty sweet marshmallow frosting kind of thing. He took one bite and said "Dont waste carbs or calories on this thing" Thats enough for me to just say no!

epcotnight034.jpg

As we were leaving the park....

Todd: Are you feeling ok?

Me: Sure, why are you not feeling ok

Todd: No its not that, you havent asked what the plans are for tomorrow so I thought you were sick or something

Me: Well, now that you mention it...what are we doing

Todd: We will know when we get there

So zen of him huh?

Getting great tans...well I am always tan, he is just starting to turn from a pale white to a rosy cheeked eating machine!

epcotnight026.jpg

Hi Nicki, joining in at long last!

We're here at WDW too and eating a lot of the same stuff as you are.

Can't wait to hear more:)
