Soooo basically I'm compiling a list of FE gifts. We went on our first cruise in June and saw all the cool gifts and thought that we come across a wee bit short lol. We've got some good ideas for the Kids and Teens/Tweens but, we need some more ideas for the adults. Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, etc etc.
What did you guys give or going to give. I like to craft so DIY gifts are good for me and anything that won't empty the wallet.

Our gifts last time were: Photo Albums with a cover I made. Pipe cleaner Mickey pens. Glow Swords and Wands. :upsidedow

Open to anything! :D

Have you read through the Homemade FE thread?

I also would love ideas for men and teen boys. There are tons of ideas on the FE thread for everyone else, but not for men and teen boys. The only ideas I have come across were playing cards, small flashlights, and dice games for the boys.

We're doin frisbees lol :-) for teen age boys.

I have a teen son, and although many people poo-poo candy...I know he would love it! We have only been on one previous cruise and did not know about the fish extender so we didn't participate, but the upcoming cruise next year is just going to be me and husband and we are participating. I actually have my gifts already, one gift per stateroom, but when I got them I didn't think about what a pain they are going to be lugging them around across the States :(. Oh well...sorry I got off topic :cool1: but I am just saying I think teen boys would be happy with candy!LOL

Men-small bottles of alcohol, VIA Starbucks instant coffee, gift cards for iTunes(this applies for teens as well)-like $5 cards--depending on how many people you have in the FE, this could get pricey. My husband likes little toys that he can teach the girls how to use. We got this kind of stupid propeller thing where you pushed it between your palms(think rubbing palms together when you are cold and trying to warm up) and then you let it go. It flew really high and far and he and my girls probably spent over an hour playing with that thing!
I'm not sure if REDBOX has gift cards, but that would be cool.

I'd only worry that Teens would walk by and take the Alcohol out of the Fish Extender ): Sadly I'm a teen and I fear that >,< itunes cards and starbucks not a bad idea lol!

I'd disguise the alcohol, so there would be less chance unless they are literally opening packages. I guess it COULD happen. I also would deliver early in the monring. I find most teens aren't the first ones up:lmao:

There you are correct xD I'm always the last one up xD

I am from KY and I am giving the adults drinking glasses from this years KY Derby (collectors items). I am givng the kids uncirculated KY State quarters in a plastic container and Chocolate bars (if I can keep from eating them first...lol) with KY wrappers on them........Just thought I wanted to do something about my state.

I'm from Ohio and my dm and I talked about that and how funny it would be to buy Ohio State stuff for anyone who lives in Michigan (x We could do some really cool Buckeye stuff o_O maybe make some buckeyes.

Well I have no idea if what I made was liked, as no one ever commented, but for the men I made quilted coasters (made from fabric with different wine labels since we are from wine country) and added a bottle stopper. For the women I made a quilted tissue holder (and can't remember what else I put in with that).

It was the first time I participated in a FE, so wasn't really sure what to do.

This may sound crazy but on my cruise I got glow swords for the little boys and glow necklaces for the teenagers and my 14 yo grandson and his friends both boys and girls came around looking for the swords luckily I had extra so everyone was happy. Who would have thought that they would of wanted those

Couldn't agree more with this statement. There are tons of ideas there if you want to do something handmade.

For the adult males (but would also work for females), we made personalized tile coasters. 14 cents each at Lowe's!

This year we're making Tie Dye Mickey Drawstring Bags (everyone), Accordion Autograph books(Teens/Tweens/Kids), a photo album (moms), and a Mickey Flag(each Family).

I take it you are driving to the port? I hate how I'm limited since I'm flying cross country and going out of Miami. I guess I could ship ahead to our hotel we are staying at 2 nights before. Hmmmmmmmm....

We're probably driving (taking an RV) but we want to fly (Southwest). There's 6 of us though. And my 3 brothers (8, 7 and 5 when we go) can share 1 maybe 2 bags. And we each get 2 free bags, a carry on and a personal item.

DD: 2 checked bags Satchel and whatever
DM: " " Purse and carry on
Me: " " Purse and Carry on
DB1: 1 or 2 Checked bags Carry on and a personal item
DB2: FE gifts in a bag
DB3: " "

thats why we can do it
