Any rumor when 2014 dates come out?

Where did u see this at? I did not see it on the Disney Cruise line website?

These are on the DCL forum -- they are at the top and are locked right now until the pricing opens and we can start posting. They were prepped and ready for each of those who volunteered to collect the data for each ship. Now it's up to Disney!

I don't know how you can share your feelings on something you haven't heard of...
But here is the link to the Disney Blog
http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...kicks-off-limited-time-magic-at-disney-parks/
Nothing that is going to get me to book a trip to WDW or DL. I'll keep my fall 2014 WDW/DCL plans.

fyi, my comments were made after i searched and read the details of the bite of info referenced in the post I quoted, but your provided link may be helpful to others. I'm just not a blog fan - even disney's, prefer the various weekly newsletters as to being more consise.

IMO, I think DCL purposely does not pre announce the DVC date. They open reservations and whichever date has the most pathetic demand... becomes a DVC cruise - creating instand demand.

They can rely on DVC members to fill a ship when they designate it 'special'. Even though they added a week for 1/13 I booked for ports my upcoming cruise.

That is ridiculous. Other cruise lines have their 2014 dates out there. Boo DCL!

Many, but DCL has such faithful guests I assume they're not worried about a majority of them 'jumping ship'. Delaying announcement from typical time frame creates a buzz of sorts that may intrigue 1st times to book.

Obviously we're all waiting and possibly dying for the releases.. none of us are leaving xD ... :crazy2:

Everyday I check the website 4 5 maybe 8 times xD :surfweb:

I am gonna go one step more then you guys - I really wanna do a Baltics cruise and I wanna do it with Disney in 2015 ;)

This just sucks!! Of course every other year they release them in Oct and then when i have the money and wanna book one they arent getting released!!!

Today proves there is no way to tell when 2014 dates will be released. I am starting to believe it will not be until next year in January. I guess those rumors are true.

I hate to stir the pot :stir:.......

But I did a search through all the major cruise lines and yes, Disney needs to catch up.

RCCL has their bookings open through May 2014; HAL open through April 2014; Princess through May 2014 and, the MOST shocking, NCL has opened up their site for bookings through April 2015. Yes, I said 2015! That's amazing!

So Disney could at least catch up by opening up bookings through May 2014 and get the ball rolling! :surfweb:

I know i did not want to believe it either....but after nothing today, I am starting to think they are true :(

I booked a January 2014 cruise on Celebrity in May 2012! :woohoo: Glad I don't care what DCL does in 2014.

Yep, yesterday I booked a March 2015 Spring Break cruise in a Haven suite on the NCL Getaway. :rotfl:

I just called DCL they said they usually gets a heads up when the dates will be released and they haven't heard anything yet so I think I'll try calling them weekly to see if they heard anything!

I've tried to change my profile on the cruise line site to add that I get notifications, but it won't let me change it. GRRRRRR Keeps saying "invalid user name" which is correct. Soooooo frustrating!

I am going to up the ante on stirring the pot. Since there are so many rumors floating around on DIS, I am going to make a guess as to why the delay.

Rumor #1: the magic will be undergoing a 12-18 month major refit not the initial drydock that was discussed.

Rumor #2: Release will be delayed until January.

With Disney big wigs meeting this past week to discuss future operations, here is my conjecture:

I feel DCL is putting off the improvements to the magic to see if demand for their product will change with one less ship in service and to see whether or not the economy improves. I would not be surprised if they mothball the magic or sell it if they feel it is not financially viable anymore.

Therefore, this change in plans has led DCL to restructure itineries based on the fact the magic will be out of service for an extended period of time leading to a delay in the 2014 release.
