I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

I haven't booked just yet but am definitely planning to soon. This will be the kids' first cruise and only me and DH's second cruise - which was on our honeymoon 11 years ago and a completely different type of cruise. That ship was MUCH smaller and mostly (older) adults. I don't recall if we even saw a single child on it. Anyways, I'm super excited. We plan to do about 5 nts. at AoA first and then head over to the cruise. :cool1:

I'm just going to keep posting here until someone feels bad and joins me. :rotfl:

Ok, not really...... I just wanted to add that I booked deck 7 - family deluxe oceanview cabin. I could not be more excited. As I said earlier DH and I have only been on 1 cruise 11 years ago, and it was sort of stuffy, I'm sure *nothing* like DCL. I am a WDW fanatic but don't know a lot about DCL so I am anxiously researching and reading everything I can. Fortunately, I have plenty of time to do that.

Welcome! :wave2: We are very excited as well. This will be our 4th Disney Cruise. Have you thought about the Fish Exchange? It's a lot of fun!! If you need to know more about it, I'd be happy to explain it, or just do a search on FE. You don't have to be a master crafter or anything like that, it's just a little extra something the DISers do to sprinkle just a little more pixie dust around. pixiedust:

yay, someone's here! lol. I saw you post about it on the April thread and was so excited to find someone else on the cruise. So far there's been nobody else here or on Cruise Critic either.....:confused3
I have a DH who doesn't like to talk about vacations before hand (he likes to be 'surprised' :crazy2: ) and my kids don't know about it yet, so can't talk to them either.......

Hi! Just booked for this cruise on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. DH & I will be on deck 6 in a 4D. I know it's a FAMILY stateroom, but all the 5s that were left were either too far forward or aft or on Starboard side. I prefer port side mostly because of smoking on starboard side on deck 4. It's bad enough that if someone close by is smoking on their verandah it wafts over to our verandah, but to have it coming up from below would make it that much worse. I like being close to the middle of the ship both front to back & top to bottom. I find there seems to be less movement.

The first day of the cruise will be DHs Birthday. We will be staying at BLT for 4 nights before the cruise (This has been changed to AKL club level in a 1 bedroom DVC for 3 nights before & BLT studio for 1 night after) using our points from our newly purchased DVC. We bought DVC on our Fantasy cruise in August. We also rebooked on that cruise for the November 23, 2013 Fantasy Cruise. My birthday is on Thanksgiving that year.

This cruise will be our 5th cruise, bringing us up to GOLD for the November cruise.:yay:

Not much going on on this Meet thread yet. Hopefully it will pick up when we get closer to April.

I don't know anything about port or starboard, I don't even know which side I ended up choosing. Aren't all the family rooms pretty far aft or forward? There were non mid-ship, right? I chose deck 7 for absolutely no reason whatsoever. it just seemed like a good number, lol. All Iknew is I didn't want to be on 5 with the kids clubs and I figured any lower than that was too far down so 7 seemed a good middle number.

ETA: Oh, I just re-read and saw you have a verandah room. I didn't look at the veranda rooms (crazy 5 year old who can't be trusted not to climb overboard, lol.) so maybe those ARE midship.

Just looked up Port & Starboard and I was wrong. The room I have is on the Starboard side (right side facing front of ship. OOPs. I may have to rethink what room I want in the future. I have just always had a cabin on that side. I just wish they would move all smoking to top decks and no smoking on verandahs. I went out on my verandah on the last cruise & someone nearby was smoking a cigar. The smell of them makes me sick to my stomach. I went into my cabin right away, but the smell followed me. I imagine that their cabin must reek by the end of the cruise since the smell would definately follow them in too. I would hate to be the next family in that cabin .

bumpity bump!

Just so you know, you don't have to bump us up. We will be on the Meet List under our date. :goodvibes

If you want to find more people from our cruise you might want to post our cruise date, with a link to this thread, on the main cruise board and bump that occasionally. :cool1:

I am taking my 7 yr old niece on this cruise and I am going with a friend who has a 5 yr old daughter. This is my second cruise but my first Disney cruise. Can't wait for April!!!

Congratulations on your cruise wedding! How magical pixiedust: I plan on joining the FE, anyone else?
