We went on a 5 day on may 18th this past year, when we got off I was like- ok it was cool no real big deal.. The family talked about it- everyone said it was cool and they had a good time. I (Husband/Dad) spent alot of time on the trip worried about money so I was alittle stressed and every morning I would check the onboard account. So I would not let myself relax. We prob should have waited on doing a cruise. Me and my wife didnt do the "adult" stuff either. My son didnt spend much time in the club. We missed alot that was offered. That and along with being our first ever cruise, we were (and still are) tight with our money. But the last few weeks we are starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. So I have been reading about 2014 release dates soon and I had a talk with the family and May 2014 seems very doable!!! My son will be able to get into the teen club. All our small things would be paid, nothing left but the house (given nothing comes up). We already have passports, and im betting I could relax better knowing what to expect sorta, and no bills to worry about. We would be looking to go on the fantasy prob for 7 days! As the last few weeks have gone by I am (for lack of better words) "craving" another Disney cruise!! We watched our video's and looked at our pics today.. All I can say is im ready NOW!!!! Anyone else thinking that far ahead like us? With 17 or so months out, ill have plenty of time to pay it off and save some big time mad money for the new Disney ship!

I was bitten by the Disney Cruise bug once I sailed on the Magic in 2007. I longed to go on another one. When the Disney Dream was being built, I watched on the web cam to see her progress, and I booked a cruise for June, 2011 before the Dream was even finished, probably a little over a year before the cruise date. Now that that cruise has come and gone, I longed for another. I booked a cruise on the Fantasy for October, 2013 at 18 months out. I still have a year to go, but I love the excitement of planning for it (and the fact that I can pay for it a little at a time). Go ahead and book as soon as the dates come out for when you want to sail. You'll be glad you did!!

Thanks for the support! And you I just noticed your location, your right up the road from me neighbor!! We are in Gonzales!

Have you seen the length of the thread about the 2014 dates??? I would say most of this board is thinking that far ahead!!!

Well hello neighbor!! I didn't even look at your location when I first posted. I have relatives in Gonzales, or maybe they now live in Prairieville. My aunt & uncle, Gail & Alvin Cavalier. We actually live in Abita Springs. Nice to "talk" to a fellow Louisianian. GEAUX SAINTS!!

We're also planning for Summer 2014! Our first cruise was September this year and if we could, we'd go again this Christmas break. But that's not in the budget. And next year isn't, either. We think we can make 2014 happen, though, and we're anxiously awaiting the schedule. We actually booked a "placeholder" cruise while we were still on the boat last month but we haven't told the kids. We'll wait till we actually have our real cruise dates booked (or maybe even wait a till like a month before or something, cause the kids who go crazy waiting!)
