Can we use the Tide Pods in Disney? I have the regular ones - not for HE machines.

Thanks!

Chantal

We've used both Tide pods & the Purex all-in-one sheets. I think the sheets travel better.

We use the Purex sheets. A few fold nicely into a small zip lock sandwich baggie. Makes the luggage smell nice too!

Chanty, I couldn't find them in stores here in the U.S. so I ordered them from walmart.com. They're so handy - I hope you find them!

Rumor is that these have been discontinued. You can still likely find these online or eBay. We used these last trip and worked well.

i found the purex sheets online on walmart.com. thank you for mentioning them!:thumbsup2 i planned on ordering other things and having them shipped to the resort like i did this past trip. i will defenitely be adding them to my order. i had free samples when they first came out and saved them for our disney trip a few years ago. i loved them! the laundry came out clean and soft and i didnt have to worry about liquid laundry soap leaking in my luggage. thanks again for mentioning these.

Do the pods travel well in checked luggage?

Thanks! :thumbsup2
Carla

I've taken them in checked luggage before. I put them in a plastic ziplock box and they do fine. I don't use them at home but it's easier than trying to take a bottle of detergent for sure!

Instead of buying something new, I just fill an empty pop bottle or a ziplock freezer bag with powder detergent. Travels well.

I was thinking about doing this, just was concerned that when the luggage is scanned, they'd take them out of my luggage (checked, not carry on) All went well when you packed the pods?

Yep, the container didn't appear to had been touched at all. As far as I know there's not a TSA rule against it. Might not hurt to label the container as laundry detergent in case the person scanning it isn't familiar with those though. Don't know if that would really help, but it definitely wouldn't hurt.

Thank you so much!

I'm bummed about the Purex laundry sheets. I wonder if I buy some now before they're gone how long they would store. I really found them extremely convenient for travel. I used the pure and clean variety....
