Scott & Vinny: 13 days of Magic..UPDATED *NEW* 3/4 (The End)

Hello all,

We have returned and it was truly a magical trip. The first week we spent time with 2 great friends of ours. Lorrie and Kristel. Dinners, fun and laughter happened.

The second part was just us and it was a nice time but didn't last.

The third part was with Vinny's granddaughter Aubrey and her friend Ryan. This was lots of fun and again rides, food and laughing occurred.

We will go into all of this further in the report.

We did see the New Fantasyland and I took many pics and also video taped Mermaid ride. Also tried the Lefou's Brew.

We also new the new addition to POTC. Mermaids.

Vinny did his first value resort (POP Century) so how do you think he liked it?

There were 2 things that Vinny said that made me gasp in shock. Can you figure out what they were?

I have at least 24gb of photo and video to go through and take out the bad and put them in order so it will take a few days but wanted to start anyway.

There will be food reviews and some with pics. I did not always remember to take it.

Overall it was a great trip and I do hope you come along and follow us as we travel to the most Magical place on Earth.

Welcome again. Now let’s get this started.

A little backstory. We are a married gay couple in NY. I have loved Disney all my life and Vinny went for his first trip in 2007 with his sisters’ family and friend and me. He thought it was fun and we went back a couple of times. Then in 2010 I suggested getting a DVC. We ended up buying into Saratoga Springs and have not regretted it since.

Flash forward to October 8th.
3:30 am the alarm goes off. I turn it off. I fell back to sleep. Now Vinny is very good at getting up without an alarm so I was not worried. The car was coming at 4:30 and I just needed to shave and shower. Well next time I look my clock says 4:08. (Insert words I cannot say here). I wake Vinny up and I go and shave. After shaving I jump into the shower. It is now 4:15 and I said the car will be here any minute. 2 minutes later the phone rang and it was the driver. I am still in the shower and hurry it up. 10 minutes later we walked down to the car. Not too bad I thought but I was very rushed and I hate that.
The driver was a nice Russian guy but had a thick accent. He asked me which way to go(I thought this was his job) and so I told him. We got there quickly being it was so early and also Columbus Day paid him and went to check in.

We did curbside check in being it is so much easier. It costs $2 each plus tip but that is okay. The line to show the boarding pass wasn’t bad. Then security was easy. Shoes off then body scan. Check. Good to go.
We did have breakfast at Dunkin’ Donuts. I had a crumb muffin and Iced Latte. Vinny had a jelly donut and coffee. Then we headed over to the gate.

Our flight was for 7 and we boarded on time and left on time. Here is a pic of the live map as we waited as people boarded.

Now let us go and fly through the sky.

Jetblue has the best Bloody Mary’s. It was 8:20am but I hate flying.

The clouds were so pretty this day.

Looking out as we started to come in for a landing.

We have landed.

We did land on time. Now come on lets go we have WDW waiting for us. We get out quickly (row 2 seats) and go to the monorail.

Then we were on the monorail.

We went down to the Magical Express and got in line for SSR. Were sent immediately to the bus and found a seat. They have seat belts now on them. Good idea.

Then we arrived at SSR. We were the first drop off on the bus.

Don't you hate when you fall back asleep ater the alarm rings? That's normally not a problem for me when I go to Disney.

I love the little flight maps on Jet Blue. Maybe they will fly out of Philly one day and I can try them. I am not driving an extra 2 hours to fly Jet Blue though. The gas cost alone doesn't it make it worth the drive.

Lucky you I had a wait at ME and I was on a new bus but never noticed seat belts. Then again I didn't look.
